It was a beautiful day! Birds were singing, dogs were barking, passerby were yelling at a small pink phony on a scooter ...
She was going way too fast for the sidewalk and had already nearly run over a few squirrels. She zoomed past a phony as pink as she was with the most marvelous head of hair and stopped. Just as quickly.
"Hi! How do you keep your hair up? Is that candy around your neck? Is your cutie mark a lollipop? Is that your dog?"
... She took a breath and stared. This wasn't uncommon behavior for her.
((God, this blows. I'm sorry. If she isn't wearing her collar thing, I can change this. I went off of official art.))

Candy Dandy too had noticed that the day was lovely, and decided that Maple Bar hadn't seen enough of the park yet. So she whistled, and heard the pitter patter of puppy paws on the hardwood as her mutt appeared with a yawn.
A few minutes later, they were walking side by side when they heard a commotion coming from up ahead. Just as quickly, a pink blur passed by with a zoom and an audible screech as she stopped.
Candy was immediately bombarded with questions from a pink filly with lovely locks of blonde.
She blinked her blue eyes, and laughed. "I hope I remember all of your questions!" She took a breathe and smiled.
"My hair just kinda...grows this way. I guess I keep it short so the curls don't get too unruly." She ran a hoof through her mane self consciously. She turned slightly to show her cutie mark. "Well part of it is. The other part is a flower. And yes, this is my dog Maple Bar."
Maple took the opportunity to bark her own greeting, tag wagging.
"Now I get to ask you a question or two!" Candy said. "First, what's your name? Mine's Candy Dandy. And second, where are you going in such a hurry?"

"Coooooool~" She blinked as questions were directed at her and stalled by waving at Maple Bar. "My name is Rabbit! That's why I go fast- Because I'm quick like a bunny!" She was pleased that her point was made by answering both questions with one answer. "It's nice to meet you Candy Dandy! Do you ever do things in a hurry? What is your favorite thing to do?" She leaped off of her scooter, but forgot that she'd strapped herself in and fell ... taking the scooter with her.

"Ah, well that makes sense then!" she said, watching Maple in case she decided to do the usual and leap up to lick Rabbit's face. She'd been trying to break the dog of the habit.
"Sometimes I do things in a hurry, especially if I have somephony waiting on me. But most of the time, my job means I have to be careful, or my work may not come out as nice as I'd like it to."
She was about to answer Rabbit's second question when she saw the foal hit the dirt. She gasped and whistled Maple away when she took the opportunity to give Rabbit's face a few good licks.
"Oh my! Are you alright!?" she knelt down to check on the foal.

She had a scrape on her knee and it stung, but she tried to sniffle it away with a small smile. At least she'd gotten silly doggy kisses! There were still one or two tears in her eyes, though. She shook her head. "I'm alright."

Candy inspected the filly closely, and found that she had bumped up her knee. She felt sorry for Rabbit, and said "Wait here. I'm gonna go get you a bandaid."She got to her hooves and started to walk away when a bark stopped her. Maple Bar was standing next to Rabbit. She let out a concerned whine. You're not going to leave here here like this are you?Candy looked confused, then chuckled. She returned to her dog and offered a pat. "Don't worry Maple, I'm not leaving her or anything. I'm just gonna go get some thing to make her feel better."
This seemed to satisfy the dog, who wuffed gently.
"Stay here and keep her company." Candy ordered as she walked away. "I won't be but a minute!"Pony-owner is going. But she will be back. She always comes back. Little pony cry. No more cry little pony!To convey her thoughts, Maple Bar gave Rabbit another lick, this time on the shoulder instead of the face.No worries little pony. Pony-owner will come back. She always comes back.

Rabbit put on a brave face and nodded at Candy. It was so nice that she was getting her a bandaid that she didn't want to say that she had some at home. She watched the brief interaction between Maple Bar and her owner and let out a small giggle when she got licked on the shoulder. She wrapped a front leg around the dog and smiled. "You're silly Maple Bar," she said to the dog, "I wish I could feel better before Candy Dandy came back. She's being so nice, I don't want to bother her anymore." Blue Eyed Melloon FINALLY. xDD Sorry this took so long.

Maple Bar whuffed when receiving the hug, her tail thumping the ground behind her. She did love little phonies so much. Like owner, like pet. Silly? What is silly? Pony-owner calls me that. But what is?Maple stared at Rabbit with her ears perked, listening to the foal speak. Her voice was still a little shaky, and she could tell that she wasn't all better yet. Must make her better. Then Pony-owner will be happy. Maybe she give Maple a treat! Maple Bar very much liked that idea. But how to make her happy? What makes Maple happy?
..... ........
.......
STICKS!So the dog wriggled free of the pink filly and bounded toward the nearest tree, circling it until she found a decently sized stick that she then took up in her mouth and brought back to her companion. She laid it at Rabbit's hooves, wagging her tail and grinning widely. LOLLI qAq Sorry I took so long to respond!

The puppy wiggled free of the pink filly, and darted away. For a moment Rabbit panicked that maybe Maple Bar had run away, but then the dog was back. With a stick in her mouth. Rabbit smiled and reached out to take it.
"You want me to throw it?"
She knew the doggy did so she tossed it a little bit away.Blue Eyed Melloon SORRY. So sorry! All replied now. ; ;

Maple stared at the thrown stick, partially obscured by the grass. Did stick make her unhappy? Why she throw? Maybe she is this "silly" that is talked. I get her stick. And Maple did just that. She ran to the stick, picked it back up and was equally as fast back to Rabbit, who looked happy. See? Stick makes happy! Candy by this point was in her kitchen, pulling a box of bandaids out from underneath various sized toothpicks. She smiled, pulling a couple free from the box and closing the drawer.
"I hope Maple isn't being too annoying."

The look on Maple's face after she threw it was priceless. Babby Rabbit wondered what she would be saying if dogs could talk and the thought of what Maple would say right now had her in stitches. She tried to control her laughter while the dog went to fetch the stick, but the super serious gaze on the dog as she set the stick back down made the little pony crack up all over again. Rabbit took a deep breath and reached down to pick the stick up again but hesitated for a split second.
"You're a very good dog."
She pat the dog on the head gently with a hoof, and then threw the stick again.Blue Eyed Melloon Wanna wrap this up soon? Maybe Rabbit can notice that the laughter made her forget all about the pain/shock of the scrape and when Candy Dandy returns she can help Rabbit make sense of that and then we can be all done? Four more posts max, I should think. <3

Candy returned to find Maple playing fetch with Rabbit. She smiled, and trotted over to the couple as the dog returned again with the stick.
"Hey guys!" she said when she got close enough. "How are you feeling?"SHE'S BACK!Maple turned and barked happily at Candy's return. She hopped over, tail wagging.
