Hero alias: Ice Dragon
Real name: Ritsa Tiblon
Powers/abilities:
Ice manipulation - At first she will not be able to to much more than freeze opponents into place and throw tiny shards of needle ice at them. As her power grows though the stages she will eventually be able to summon up ice storms and freezing winters. But will be limited to her alternate form of a dragon to be able to maintain.

Which area is the character based/from: Earandat - A planet found in the Andromeda galaxy not far from the Milky way. It inhabitants are primarily dragon-esk individuals with horns wings and a tail. Multiple scales are found on their cheeks neck shoulders and hands. Often the colors of these dragon like sections give notice to their individual ability to maintain and improve upon their power. They look very human like when those items are removed from them.

Age upon entering academy: Her mind and body are the age of a regular 14 year old girl just starting her changes. However if you asked her what her age was she would just shrug it off. She really doesn't know the answer to that. Age means nothing to her. You would be better off asking how many half minutes old are you.
How did your character get their powers: Born with them upon hatching
Motivation for entering academy:

Strengths:
Listening - She has no problems listening to anything you have to say. Is a great listener and a good ear to her friends
Herbalist - Plants are part of her life, if needed she can survive on her own in the wild. She can tell what plants are edible and which are not.
Smell - Her nose is very powerful on earth. She can smell people coming and were they have been and can attempt to track

Weaknesses:
Socially Awkward - She doesn't speak much for fear of saying the wrong things, or offending someone.
Smell - Just because she can smell things better than you doesn't mean she's good at tracking, and is often overwhelmed by almost everything to strong. She likes mild scents because of this.
Brown Sugar - If there's brown sugar in it. She can't resist the call to eat it. Chocolate chip cookie dough, Cinnamon buns, you name it. She's already in love with it. Her alliance can often be swayed by this one simple item.

Personality:
Given the proper encouragement, Ritsa reveals a wickedly sharp mind and a drive to succeed. Her reading comprehension is is higher than the average child her own age; she has a mind like a sponge for mathematical formulas and navigating the outdoors by the stars. She handles concrete concepts that can be proven a lot better than abstract concepts--it's hard for her to explain why she thinks an action was good, morally, but much easier for her to elucidate on why there are seasons. Her intelligence, though, is very academic. She knows very little about how to interact with other people, and probably couldn't guess your favorite color if you wore it everyday.

While growing up has taught her she can't rely on anyone, there is one person in this whole world that Ritsa knows she can lean on, and that's her older sister Nita. Most people aren't Nita, so she doesn't trust them, and because of that she's gotten really, really good at independent work and observation. Often, she'll work harder than she has to in order to ensure that if someone else fails her, she'll be able to cover up their mistakes. She displays an almost obsessive need to take care of herself, because she doesn't like charity or being pitied. She will volunteer to help with school chores such as cleaning the chalkboards or running papers around for delivery work, not only does it net her attention from authority figures, it also means she knows everything is being done right. Ritsa doesn't ask for help when she's having a tough day or a tough fight, and insists on being able to do everything herself. When she can't provide for herself, she feels horribly guilty and embarrassed for whatever she cost the other person.

One thing Ritsa learned very, very fast was that you had to follow the Rules. If you followed the Rules, everything would be okay and nobody would get hurt. It's really rare for her to disobey a rule, especially if she's told it's for her protection, and she almost never disobeys an authority figure's direct order--not because she trusts them, but because she's afraid of the consequences if she doesn't. She is the kind of child that parents hold up to others as an example to be followed. At least, that would be the case if she weren't born an Atlantian.

Superficially, Ritsa is childish in that she dearly wants to play board games and tag and have sleepovers and be as loud as she wants whenever she wants. Realistically, Ritsa wants attention, good or bad; she doesn't know how to go about getting it, except by acting out in small ways like refusing to make her bed, or leaving a small mess of old homework on her desk. It's not in her nature to get up on a table and declare everything sucks and she hates the world, and nor will she pull another girl's hair or take her things--but she will wait outside a door for anyone to notice her or sell out another student who's broken the rules to just to get a pat on the head. Ritsa takes any kind of attention, but she thrives off approval, and will do almost anything to get it.

Ritsa also takes criticism very poorly. Very, very poorly: She doesn't know how to interact with people and always feels like the slightest comment about her appearance or her possessions or her homework is a deep, abiding personal insult. Even off-handed comments like "You look nice today" will be obsessively dissected. Does that mean she doesn't look nice every day? Does it mean she looks nicer than usual? What are they comparing her to? Because she's so sensitive as to how others view her, she rarely talks about her home life or her family or herself at all; she'd rather listen to you talk, because if she doesn't say anything you can't judge her.

Nothing ever goes right for Ritsa. There's no point in hoping for anything or looking for the future because things can always get worse. She was hatched from a frail egg, outcasted from people who would be great friends. Abandoned by her mother, never knowing her father. The only person she has in the whole entire world is Nita, and she barely ever gets to see her. Why can't something go right for her just once! Everything sucks! Nothing she does matters anyway!

Her worldview is so polluted by the way she was raised--stay out of everyone's way, stay quiet, don't draw attention to you no matter what you do--that she can't look past the bad parts of her life to see the possibility of a good future or even the good parts of the present. She can't see the light at the end of the tunnel because she won't look--and even if she did, Ritsa probably wouldn't believe what she saw was True.

Rista enjoys some hobbies despite her strange outlook on the world. She is fascinated by the flowers and plants that grow around her and will often go out of her way to collect them. She has a soft spot for tiny critters of all sizes and will do all she can to lead tiny bugs from the house instead of killing them. This often leads to people staring at her, and many whispering behind her back.

She has no clue what the word birthday really represents other than a time the Sun has passed around earth. She was hatched from an egg with her clutch mate Nita. Without anyone around, she had to learn to fend for herself. This has allowed her to develop herself and learn the things she likes and dislikes.

General backstory:
Have you ever heard of Atlantis? Of course you have! It never really sank like legend says. It's actually protected by a race of Atlantians, as they call themselves. Half dragon people who originated from the planted Earandat, found within the Andromeda galaxy. Ever heard the legends of Dragons, that's the Atlantians too, how else would every culture have writings of them everywhere?

Eardant was a peaceful yet controversial planet in it's origins. The inhabitants were few, many had powers that clashed such as water and fire. And each lived in their own designated section of the planet. One day there was a strange multi-faceted egg that had been laid. Unsure of where to put it war broke out among the large number of the planets inhabitants. The egg when hatched turned into a powerful being with the ability to manipulate all the elements on the planet. It was at her mercy. Fortunately she was a benevolent being, who craved love from whom she could. Unfaithful to any one partner she eventually laid a clutch of eggs in colors no one had seen before.

The people were afraid of what these eggs would be, in the end they gathered their power and sent them into the stars. They landed on earth where several decades later they hatched in the unknown world. The small place was dubbed by them as Atlantis. Learning from the local wildlife their small population of 9 eventually grew. At first earth seemed ok with their kind, even taking a few on as mates. As their power grew and they grew older and forgotten by those they loved. All they could do was turn into dragons and fly across the sky. Often blessing those whom they felt in need of it. Cursing other humans who had done wickedly.

Ages moved around them. The earthlings grew less welcoming of their kind. Eventually the small number were starting to thin out from the hunts that often took place. In desperate need to protect themselves they created a show of sinking their home into the ocean. This way they could stay at peace.

Generations passed for both the earth and the Atlantians. One Atlantian, born the weakest of her clutch eventually mated and laid eggs of her own for the second time. Among these eggs was once again a very rare egg. Not a color they had seen. But would often be found in their own home planet. It was a recessive gene. Fearful that this egg would be even weaker than she was, the mother abandoned the egg along with it sister egg from her previous cluch. An egg that had refused to hatch like the rest of it's siblings. Abandoned into the ocean, together they were carried away from Atlantis.

Scooped up in fishing trips and sold as strange rocks to those interested for high prices. Eventually the older egg managed to hatch, taken in she was raised hidden away from the world. Ritsa however had landed in a field, as with all eggs she blessed the field in which she landed with fertility. Because of this the farmers never gave up the secret to their successful crops year after year. They had even erected a barn around the egg in order to keep it protected from prying eyes. Not that the egg couldn't protect itself. At the first hint of danger it had created a shield of ice like a dome as protection. The ice couldn't be melted by the sun nor shattered by blow torches. It was impenetrable.

Nita, the missing egg that had hatched in the care of humans. Grew into a bright young girl. Desperate to know about her kind she sought out any information she could until she stumbled upon Atlantis. Exited to learn she had a family, it was the knowledge that an egg had been abandoned with her that sent chills down her spine. Resentful towards her mothers actions, Nita set out in search of Ritsa's egg.

It had taken Nita nearly a decade before she discovered, a tiny egg had hatched in the middle of the farm. All the information about the farm and it's secrecy dove her to investigate. It was here she found Ritsa. Surprised by her magical strength Nita whisked her as north as they could go.

Silent mundane years passed before Ritsa's magic blossomed and began showing itself. Unable to have the protection of Atlantis, Erionda struggled to keep her powers a secret. Which lead to her meeting Bomir. Impressed by her skills and power he brought her back to the Academy. Where she will start a new chapter in her life.
