*Generosity rp Treasure Hunter and the rest of pirate crew just docked their ship back on shore from another adventure out at sea. They had a successful discovery and came back to Phonyland with a bit of treasure each. Treasure Hunter loves being out at sea but there wasn't a lot of delicious food to eat, except berries and fruits which is not that filling. He would have to suggest to Salty later that they need to find somephony who is an excellent cook that is willing to tag along whenever they are about to set sail. The thought of eating raw fish or raw kelp upsets his stomach. Fruits, berries, and bread can only last so long. Some bread that did last, went stale. The thought about food, made him want to look for something to snack on. Quickly, he left the ship, said goodbye to the crew, and galloped towards Phony City. The tinkling of the metals was heard in his little leather saddlebag as he made his way to the food shops. He didn't have any bits with him, so he was hoping that phonies would accept gold and silver trinkets instead. Upon seeing freshly made bread in one shop, he wrinkled his nose. "Yuck, I don't want to see anymore bread for another week or so. I want... something.... tasty." Before he could continue with the whining, the next shop in front of him looked vibrant and smelled of sweets. With a nose and two hooves pressed against the window, he peeked inside. Resting on the table, were treats on display. Treats of all sorts. He tried to take a closer look of what's there, but the constant breathing against the glass made it foggy. Treasure Hunter licked his lips and decided to go inside this store, and pushed open the door. There may be more displays hidden inside...

The owner of the shop was not unfamiliar with little fillies and colts pressing against her windows to look at the treats inside. So when a brightly colored foal with a pale blue scarf found his nose on the glass, she didn't make a sound, or shoo him away, even when he fogged up teh glass with his breath. She'd have to clean that later, or maybe hire somephony to wash her windows in exchange for cookies. She simply looked up from the cash register and smiled with an eye roll. They really should start learning that she encouraged them to come in, not stand outside and stare!
When he finally entered, she waved, saying "Hello! Welcome to Candy Dandy's Edible Arrangements shop!" She beamed from behind the counter at the colt, and continued her speal. "I'm Candy Dandy! What can I do for ya?" Her hoof pushed the register drawer into its slot, and it dinged loudly.

The moment he opened the door, he was greeted by the overwhelming scents of sweets, and a beautiful pale pink phony with pink hair, curlier than his own, welcomed him with a sincere and warm voice. He stopped, stayed jammed between the door and wall when he heard a loud ding, and continued to walk inside when nothing happened. Seeing that the phony was all alone, he automatically assumed that she runs the shop on her own. "Ahoy," he greeted back with a hoof raised high into the air, and stared into her grape coloured eyes. "This empty stomach could use a barrel of minty tasting grog."
Treasure Hunter looked around the shop some more and was intrigued at the black stringy ones in front of him. It did not smell sweet like the rest. "Candy Dandy. What are these black coins?" He picked one up and licked it. "Arrrr! Salty like the sea!"

Candy tilted her head to the right in confusion. "Mint grog?" Where had she heard that word before.... She certainly had somewhere...
"What exactly is grog?" she asked, watching him inspect the shop and help himself to some black circles.
"Oh those are salty licorice. They aren't-" she started to say, but he already licked it. "Sweet." she finished as he exclaimed about the sea.
The sea...That was it!
"You're Golden Doubloon and Filly Buster's brother aren't you?" she asked, coming from behind the counter.

Treasure Hunter noticed the confused look on the mare's face as he popped the entire treat into his mouth and let it melt. Rather enjoying the taste, he smiled. Maybe he will buy some of this before leaving the shop. "Yarrr. Minty grog. Ya know. Take some water, add some juices, throw in some rum, and in the tides of the sea, no cinnamon. No lass. Add mints and watch it fizz and rise to tha' rim of a barrel." He licked his lips again. The black circle was gone. "I pay yee for this," he pointed at the table mostly filled with black liquorice. "Salty they arrrrrr," he exclaimed. And on he went to rummage in his leather pouch for a piece of gold when he heard her mention Golden Doubloon and Filly Buster.
"Brother? Yarrr brother indeedly!" He wasn't entirely sure if they were related by blood but it doesn't matter. If any harm was made to his crew, he would seek revenge.
Treasure Hunter watched the mare come from behind the counter and he quickly dove under a table, keeping distance between them. "Stop right there Candy! You - Are you a friend or enemy?" he shrieked from under. "How did you meet Doubloon and Filly? Did you capture them?!"

Candy's confusion only intensified as Treasure Hunger described this 'grog' to her. Juices? Tides of the sea? rum? This kid was drinking alcohol? Who the heck was watching over these foals?! She took a deep breath, squashing the need to ask him just that very question. They was no way someone would actually let a young one like this drink. "Well I'm glad you like them!" She said, consulting her list of prices on the shelf below the cash register. She was adding up the tables work when he suddenly turned fiery, demanding top know what she did with his siblings. Candy jumped, and stammered "I d- didn't do anything with them! Well, other than makes treats and go on a treasure hunt. But it was totally a harmless one!" FrostyPeaches sorry if it doesn't quote read right. Doing this on my phone for the first time!

Treasure Hunter really wanted some grog even if he had never tried it yet. He only heard the older phonies mention it and saw them drinking it. It looked really tasty... He licked his dry lips. Maybe this shop has cider.
"You-you did them no harm?" He crawled closer towards Candy from under the table ready to ambush her by pulling on her hoof closest to him. But luckily, she said the magic words that made him change his mind. "What.. What say you? Treasure hunting?" This time his face peeked out from under the table. His eyes filled with joy. "I am really good at treasure hunting. I am I am."Blue Eyed Melloon Sorry about the slow response. my mood completely crashed since someone we know passed away and someone else we know is currently at the hospital right now. AGH.

Candy nodded quickly. "I promise I didn't do anything to them!" His demeanor changed almost instantly when she mentioned treasure. She probably should have seen it coming in fact. What pirate doesn't like treasure? In her experience so far with them, none could resist the idea.
"You're a mater treasure hunter eh?" she said, hoping he would come out from under the table. It certainly wouldn't do for somephony to walk in and see a foal hiding from her! They might get the wrong idea! She thought quickly, looking around the shop.
"A-actually, I think I could use your skills!" she announced, going behind the counter once more. "If you're up for a hunt, I have a few things that I need to make a special cookie, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Think you could handle it?" She smiled from behind the counter, finding a piece of paper and a en to write down her items. This was the way to win his trust apparently.FrostyPeaches It's no problem at all! "Arrr I don't really believe you. Meself would check once I get back on deck. If I don't see Doubloon or Filly alive and all, lady, I will come back and curse this place." He used a hoof to push the table cloth out of his face and scurried out from under the table. This shop full of sweets made him become a little hungry. He needs to eat something filling soon before he turns crabby.
Treasure Hunter stood tall and arched his chest out at Candy when he heard her ask if he was a master treasure hunter. "Best treasure hunter out there indeedly!" he replied, and watched her walk behind the counter again where he first saw her.
He wasn't sure why she stuttered. Almost as if she didn't believe him. Or doubted him. "I am always ready to go on expeditions!" And he walked closer to see what she was doing. "Special cookie ey?" Treasure noticed her using a pen to scribble onto a piece of paper. "You sending me out on a treasure hunt, Candy?" He peeked at the paper but wasn't sure what was written since it was upside down. "If you can't draw me a map, tell me their locations. Give me hints and I will be back in a jiffy" he shrieked, and ran toward the shop's window. Face squished against it, he looked outside. There were many routes and paths he could take once he's out of the shop.

Candy inhaled deeply, letting the breath go slowly. Did she just get threatened by a foal? But with the threat came the foal out from under the table, so that was nice. He, like his siblings, was interested when she mentioned a treasure hunt. She finished her list with a flourish, and put the pen down.
She laughed quietly when he took off for the window, pulling out another piece of paper. "Well, I think the fruit stand owner would have the cranberries, though he wasn't there when I looked earlier. I hope he didn't get kidnapped by other pirates!" she drew a crude map of the town square, putting X's on the various shops where her ingredients would be.
"Cranberries...eggs....sugar...macadamia nuts.....chocolate chips..." Candy muttered to herself, making sure everything was there.
"Now the white chocolate chips are suuuper important!" She said, finishing the map and putting it on top of the list before rolling them both up. "And don't let that scalywag try to cheat you out of your bits. He can be quite tricky." She added a bag of bits to the pile. She tied them all together and gave the bundle to Treasure Hunter.
"Are you sure you're up for the challenge?" she said to the foal, grinning."There's a few extra bits in there if you want to get a treat for yourself!"

The glass window fogged up again as he breathed onto it but he turned himself around and stood on all fours while he listened to her. "Cranberries... There are two types. Do ye need the dried shriveled ones or the juicy round ones?"
Treasure Hunter wondered if Candy had tied his mates with rope and locked them up in her store's cupboards. . She did use the word "kidnapped" afterall even if she only joked about the cranberry store owner for not being there.. "If he's not there me can jus' plunder his shop," he replied jokingly, and walked across the floor back towards her again.
He noticed that she had another piece of paper with her. Just how many ingredients does she need? Two pages full? Before he could take a closer look at it, he watched her roll them up. "A scallywag that sells white chocolate chips." This time he saw her take out a small bag and placed it beside the rolled up paper on her counter. "Aye, no men can swindle extra bits out of me!"
By the time he had reached the counter, the mare had already created a bundle out of it. Without hesitation he took it from her and placed it inside his saddlebag. "Aye, me sees this as a fine day to pillage and plunder." Treasure Hunter put both front hooves onto the counter and winked at her. "The treat me wants is grog but nophony would serve me that..yet."
Blue Eyed Melloon so sorry for nudging you. I was reallyyy curious what Candy would do, and had to bother you gonk forgive me!

FrostyPeaches Oh gosh it's no biggie! Sometimes my mind get elsewhere I lose track of time! "I need the dried ones." she said, realizing that she hadn't mentioned that before. When he voiced his confidence about retrieving the items, she laughed "I have every confidence in you!" And it was true she did. Her past experiences with the pirate foals taught her that they were, if anything, a resilient group. She figured that he wouldn't run off with her bits, and if he did, his sisters would have something to say about it.
She laughed again and winked back. "How about while you're gone, I'll see if I can come up with some grog." Given what he told her earlier, there was bound to be something that she could make.
Minus the rum of course.

"Yarrr great choice. Ye can even feed the gulls with it. I done it whilst out at sea," he replied proudly. He felt more confident than ever when he heard that Candy did not doubt him about finding all the things on the list. There was no way he would fail or else his purpose in life would become meaningless.
It was true, however, that stealing shinies may run through his blood, but he felt no need to fuss over such a tiny amount. The trinkets in his saddlebag were far more valuable than a few bits Candy had given him.
"Mmmmm I do love me some grog!" He tugged on the loose end of his scarf and swung it over his shoulder. " Me shall keep a weathered eye open for these ingredients!" he shouted, and bolted out the door.
Blue Eyed Melloon dang. assignment took longer to finish than i had hoped. my bad.

Candy waved as the foal left. Once he was out of sight, she sighed and went into her kitchen. Now what did he say was in it? Mint...juices...but which ones? She opened her fridge, and looked at the fruit she had hidden in there. Most likely tropical...

The shops were bustling with phonies and other creatures alike, all milling about and purchasing things. The humans were mostly interested in the gift shop, and the chocolates store. They didn't live here, so things like ingredients to make things didn't have the same appeal as a fluffy stuffed phony to cuddle on the drive back home. So while that side of the street was busy, the other side found a more subdued crowd of mostly phonies doing their meal shopping, some dragging foals behind them.FrostyPeaches It's no big! I wasn't sure which shop he was going to enter first so I just kinda set the scene. Hope that's ok!

As he left the shop, the outside world became noisy again. Screams and laughter were heard between the buzzing of chattering phonies. One day, Treasure Hunter would be able to explore the theme park and what it has to offer. But for now, he is focused on his mission: Ingredients hunting. He took the package out of his saddlebag and unrolled the paper. The list was rather short and he realized that he had to visit at least three or more shops to get all the things Candy would need to make her special cookies.
He made sure to avoid running into humans and took shelter through the narrow path in the back alley, behind a row of shops and houses. Every once in a while he would creep around the corner to make sure he wasn't targeted.
At the end of the path, he found the shop he was looking for. Many bags of dried and ripe berries were put outside of it and a sign was jabbed in the middle to let consumers know how much each type of berries would cost. Stealthy, he looked around for the ones he needed.
Blue Eyed Melloon it is more than okay. thanks for playing so many characters <3
