Name: Violetta Webs.
Nicknames: Lettie. Violet. Webs.
Gender: Female.
Age: Appears to be in her late teens. In reality she is closer to thirty.

Faction: Ghost.
Race: Mirror Spirit.

Personality: Violet would much rather be the creature that goes bump in the night than the princess rotting away in the tower; waiting for a prince that will never come. You need to love, care and make opportunities for yourself, for nobody else will do it for you. She cheats, she lies and she is more than willing to step on others if it means reaching her own ambitions. This way of thinking was drilled into her at a young age, whereas most parents raised their children to be respectable members of society, her Mother taught her how to come out ontop – no matter the cost. She has over time developed her own moral code and refuses to conform to the expectations of others; if you dislike her or her actions then it is your problem, not hers. She has never questioned her outlook on life. She never saw there was a need to; Mother is always right after all. She views success as more important than any moral that is preached to children, you are either a hunter or the hunted and she knows which one she would rather be. Being nice and playing fair... tactics for idiots in her opinion.

She was always taught to smile, even if on the inside you were boiling with rage. After long periods of chatting others cannot help but notice how little they actually know about her, she is the kind of person who would rather keep the attention from herself, taking on the role of the listener rather than the talker. She is a hollow character, one that wears a smile with very little meaning behind it.

Under her facade there is a rather naive character that radiates a childishness that is hard to place. She often talks of monsters and maidens’, skipping often takes the place of walking and candy often takes the place of proper nourishment. She likes playing the fool, often playing dumb when she knows the answer if only to laugh at the struggling of her companions - and her love of games is only matched by her love of fairy tales. She never really got to play as a child, her Mother made sure of that, and maybe that fact alone is why she clings onto her childish ways. She is attempting to relive a time in her life that was deprived of joy and laughter in the place of books and lessons; though in truth the quest is in vein. For no matter how much she wants to believe in wonder and happy endings – she cannot bring herself to place hope in such folly.

She always expects the worst from the world and everyone who inhabits it, she is quite a cynical character. Even though she has learned to jump at every opportunity that presents itself, she is always secretly waiting for it to backfire and blow up in her face. Sometimes this pessimistic attitude is too much for some people to take. She has resorted to seeing the worst in people, often overlooking if not outright ignoring the good. When someone shows her kindness she repays them with mistrust and accusations of hidden motives and schemes. This outlook helps her cope with disappointment. One cannot ever be let down when one never expects anything to begin with, right? Instead of forming emotional bonds she sees new meetings as chapters in her tale, short adventures that when over are best forgotten – for sequels never live up to expectation and precious moments are best appreciated and never relived or they loose their meaning. Push people away before they hurt you, before they show you the darkness they carry.

Violet is a broken, yet elegant maiden. Her movements are fluid and dancelike and her words soft, often spoken in riddles. Many would mistake her for a woman of much older than she is because of the way she holds herself and the eloquent way she puts across her options; even when those opinions are not very nice. This is an odd combination, and makes her childish nature even harder to swallow; for how can such a cold and well spoken creature indulge in hide-and-seek and read stories to her Kushi's on a night? She is nothing if not full of pride and confidence, from the sway of her hips to the way she walks with her head held high. She is a girl who does not stutter and composes herself even at the worst of times. She does not take any decision lightly and for this reason it is very hard to change her mind when it is made up. Her stubborn nature is never-ending and is only outshone by her desire to progress and achieve.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Violet enrolled into the academy to learn, this is the whole purpose of a school, is it not? The mirror ghost does not yet know what she will take from the Academy; if anything at all. Yet, she is willing to let her experiences mould her, and take on the challenges that are ahead. If she comes out of it the girl she was when she started.... well, what is time to a ghost? She is just glad to be out of the reach of Mother... if only for a second.

♥_________________________________ONCE UPON A TIME

'Violet, go upstairs and brush your teeth, I will be up soon to read you a story.'
'Hurry Daddy! I want to know what happens next!'

Miss Lovechild's Home for the Mortally-Challenged.

When Violet came to she was in a strange place. Her eyes opened, glowing softly with hues of Lavender, it was a full-moon that night and the wind softly blew her long snow white locks. She wandered for a while, until she came across the Collection, faces littered the streets, but none she recognized. Alone and confused she did not know her plan... Or where she was going for that matter. Then there was a tap on her shoulder and behind her stood a quite stern looking woman, who's gentle smile seemed somewhat misplaced. "Hello Dear, are you lost?"

Violet was taken in by Miss Lovechild, aka Mother, on her arrival in Halloween all those decades ago. Miss Lovechild's Home for the Mortally Challenged is a large manor which is just a short walk away from The Collection. There under Miss Lovechild's watchful eye lives a handful of Ghost Children who shall remain in the manor until they spread their wings. Violet is one of many children who have left the nest in order to attend the Academy.

  • Miss Florist Lovechild - Age Unknown - Reaper - Stern.
  • Magnolia Bones - 15 - Drowned Ghost - Quiet.
  • Rosanne Graves - 12 - Headless Ghost - Confident.

♥_________________________________SKILLS AND TALENTS

Racial Abilities and Weakness's

  • Intangibility. Want to throw something at a ghost? If you're lucky you'll catch them when they're solid, but more often then not it'll pass through them harmlessly. The sensation of something moving through them can and will get their attention, though!
  • Invisibility. If a ghost doesn't want to be found, they can turn opaque enough to avoid being seen. True invisibility can only be attained only by specific ghosts, however.
  • Survival. Their lack of actual sensory nerves or organs allows ghosts to survive in any climate possible. They are literally able to go where others cannot. Extreme heat and cold does not bother them, and because they're already dead they don't need to breathe. Toxic gas filled mine? Underwater? Ghosts aren't bothered by such trifle things.
  • Surprise. Ghosts can do the unexpected, such as allowing themselves to be sucked into a vaccum cleaner one day and be impervious to its effects the next.
  • Levitation. All ghosts, elementals, and spirits can float up to five inches off the ground. No need to buy shoes ever again!
  • Fixation. Ghosts are by nature, fixated on a certain aspect which manifests in their personality and anything else simply becomes rather confusing for them to grasp. For example, most ghosts cannot predict 'what if' situations simply because for them everything they want they react and lash out impulsively on the spur of the moment. For that same reason, many also seem to lack a conscience.
  • Vulnerability. Ghosts have an extreme vulnerability to magic: demon, reaper, and especially holy magic even though it is not practiced at all in Halloween. Ghosts are often so shocked to be affected or hit by such things (outside of their tangible form) that they do not know how to react. For that same reason, ghosts are considered the "easiest to capture."
  • Lumosity. All ghosts give off a soft light. Before they were recognized as an actual race, ghosts were often captured and used as sources of light.
  • Concentration. Ghosts need to concentrate in order to become solid or intangible. Any break in their concentration can easily lead to misfortunate and embarassing accidents.
  • Intangible. Being able to turn intangible does NOT allow ghosts to be able to phase through walls. Nor does it allow them to turn any object in their posession intangible along with them.

Natural Ability:

  • Year One - Reflection of You: Everyone has seen the movies, in which the protagonist looks in the mirror and all of a sudden their reflection starts moving by itself. Violet is able to enter mirrors and take on the form of whomever reflects in it. She can mimic movements to remain undetected, or morph the environment in the mirror and act freely, thus making it obvious that there is something very wrong. This technique is a scare tactic and its aim is often to make the person question their own sanity. Nowadays its main use is spying and gathering information. She access’s a mirror by touch (size is unimportant), so she must enter the specific mirror she wants to enchant, no going in one and reflecting in another – if the mirror is destroyed with her inside she ‘falls’ out of mirror space.

  • Year Two - ???: ???

  • Year Three - ???: ???

Fear Ability

  • The Barrier: Violet is able to summon a full length mirror that absorbs damage, it shatters on impact.

♥_________________________________HOME SWEET HOME

About the Drom

  • Outside: A lovely, neat graveyard stands alone, bordered by cypress and weeping willow trees. The graveyard is surprisingly clean, with all the plants well-groomed and the headstones made of polished, white marble - though none of the headstones have any names or dates on them. In the corner of this graveyard sits a white marble mausoleum, rather small and unassuming; it, too, is kept scrupuously clean, its doors flung wide open. Inside is just a set of stone stairs leading down...

  • Inside: At the bottom of the stairs, the underground catacombs open up into a surprisingly 'normal' dormitory. The Ghost dorms aren't the spooky, cavernous, cold setting one would expect. They might be underground, but beyond that they're quite average, with brightly lit rooms and hallways. The common areas are decorated in the happy, cluttered hodge-podge common to Ghostkind, lending a cheerful rather than morbid air. There are random knick-knacks on niches in every hallway, and plenty of wisplight and mirrors make up for the lack of windows. The temperature here is warmer than elsewhere, perhaps to drive off the deep-set emotions lingering from the ghosts' past lives.
