exclaim Announcements from Shangyue
In the nights following the deaths of Thoth, Khathelela, Selene and Fuu, Shangyue delayed in officially explaining the lion who constantly seemed to shadow him, Firaga. Finally, after about a week and under the light of the waxing quarter moon, he called together the pride to make his first announcement: He will be creating a new team of Royal Guards, all of them in the low class.
Firaga (F a y t h - x), his strongest and most loyal ally, is to be the Head of the Royal Guards. Shangyue does not deny Firaga's support in the nights the murders were committed.
The following slaves are invited to join him: Akahana (Alpaca Chobi) Akemi (Safaia) Halili (mouselet) Lunik (Puhterodactyl) Mvushi (Lethrossen) Najisi (Andranis) Nina-dini (Andranis)
Their names are all announced publicly as part of the announcement of the formation of the Royal Guard. To accept, post your rank change here!
This invitation does have an expiry date. Though Shangyue is willing to give each lion time to consider the offer, they should have a yes or no answer before the end of the next ORP.
The following slaves have previously shown support and may join, but are not announced publicly: Ikwezi (Ecavi) Nazani (Yin-Bug) Taini (Yin-Bug)
The time limit on this is the same as above. You may claim this rank change until the end of the metaplot.
All other slaves may petition to join the Royal Guard but they must convince Shangyue himself of their loyalty. This rank is Event Only for now but at least until the next ORP starts, you may PM me about any slaves you own that are interested in joining.
About Royal Guards Royal Guards - Event Only - A special rank for members of the low class started by King Shangyue early in his reign. These lions serve the Monarch directly, protecting him and, when necessary, performing morally questionable tasks that might threaten the ruler's spiritual status should he do them himself. By using their low spiritual status to benefit the Monarch, their social status is considered to be the highest of non-ruling lions. Males may take this rank but to keep it they must remain in the Low Class.
In the Hierarchy of the pride, Royal Guards stand above even Nobles and Priests. It is not a position anybody should accept lightly and though it promises to be an easy job once Shangyue feels comfortable and safe as King, the founding of the royal guard will certainly create some counterproductive tension for a good while.
exclaim Next up..!
On the night of the full moon, Shangyue will officially be crowned King!
This third and final ORP will open sometime this coming Monday.
