Nothing interesting had happened on this plane of late... nor in the plane of the immortals. In fact, Din was... painfully bored. Her complaining had been so constant that Aki, her maned wolf slave- er- companion often took off, only to show up by resting time, from time to time bringing back word of something "interesting" for Din to see. Mostly, though, these things were complete busts lately. The whole savannah is full of monotony! the goddess thought angrily to herself. First mortal she came across was really going to get it.
Din's paws stopped moving forward as she came to recognize the landscape. Not this one in particular, perhaps; it had been so many lifetimes, it was hard to tell. Still, a similar landscape she had seen in this life. A small pool glimmered quietly in the afternoon sun... Hadn't there been some cub she had "raised" in a place something like this one?
Doesn't matter. She took a detour to investigate the little spot; the only thing in eyesight that broke the pattern of grass, grass, grass, occasional tree, grass, grass, grass, tree...

What's this? the goddess thought to herself as she neared the spring, reorganizing her wings quickly and quietly as she contemplated the sight before her. A blue cheetah on an island in the middle of the little oasis before her. A very familiar cheetah, in fact; many days she had spent with this one, until it had become too repetitively boring for her. "Little cheetah," she said quietly as she gazed at the creature before her. What was her name again? This one was her cub, right?
Did her name even matter? Well, it would make for better dramatic effect if Din could use it, that she had concluded. She had to think hard before "Ellephorah" popped into her head. Yes, what a delightful experiment this one had been...
Even more interesting to see her now. Crazed, perhaps... Perhaps from her visions? Din knew some mortals had such strong visions, it was almost as though their bodies could not handle the power bestowed upon them. Her fur and her behavior alone were enough to convince Din, at least for the moment, that this was the fate that had befallen her "daughter."
Most would have sense to avoid her at this point- Din could see she was eating one of her own; something taboo by mortals. (And, even to the goddess, a slight bit disgusting.) However, there was little Gravity feared, especially a little cheetah whom she had twisted since her birth. Din pushed air down beneath her with her wings as she took flight over the water and landed on the little island. "Why Elle," she crooned, "have you made a friend?" The goddess had to hide the glimmer of interest in her eye- her daughter's reaction would be most interesting to her. Would Din be remembered? Attacked? Revered? Forgotten? Only time could tell...
