Prom was coming, and with all of the Student Council's careful planning, they had decided that this year perhaps the rest of the student body wouldn't mind lending a hand in the festivities! He couldn't quite remember who had suggested it, but in his opinion, holding sign ups for students who wanted to help out had been a masterful idea! Knowing that he was now going to get to work with friends, old and hopefully new, on the security of prom night was a huge relief for the zomboil, who had previously thought that he would likely have to deal with gnomes on the matter.

And gnomes were awful creatures to deal with on any matter, let alone one so large and important as this!

So, on an evening that he was free and clear of any obligations at all, the zomboil sat in the student council lounge, awaiting the arrival of his little group of chaperones. He had delivered notes to individual dorm rooms the day before with the meeting time and place, and hoped to get through what he needed to with them tonight, as well as be able to provide answers to any of the questions that they might have. He sat behind a long table in his usual place, his chair now well adjusted so that he was no longer sitting with legs practically up around his ears (thought that might have been a slight exaggeration). Several other chairs had been set up along the opposite side of the table so that he could view them all, and as each student entered the room, they would receive a large grin and a friendly greeting.

Welcome to the Chaperone Meeting!

This will very simply be a short PRP so that Alex can ICly inform your characters of their duties as chaperones for this years prom~ He will be taking your chars on a tour of the area that prom will be set, and going over the ground rules of what will and will not be allowed, as well as opening things up for questions or suggestions! If you can not reply to the RP, it will still be assumed that your character was here and followed along and is well informed on what is going on ^_^

Frost was pretty sure he knew what to prevent at prom.

Student explosions.

This was imperative. He needed to make sure that such things did not occur. No one wanted to get few studies bodies on them. Unless they were into that. Behind closed doors. I mean you just explode on people that is just rude.

Sitting himself down, Frost smiled at Alex, a small nod going to the zomboil. Really, the ghost was more than happy to help out.

Sparrow was there as well even though his rper was late, dressed in an outfit of striking blue and awaiting further instructions from Alex, who he vaguely knew from around school.

Surprisingly, Jack was not the last one to this little get together, and unlike Sparrow, he was the usual dark clothed cat, going to curl up next to Sparrow, giving Alex a little content wave.

He was a proud kitty, actually trying to do something . . . non-destructive.

For someone who was normally punctual, Serafina Arai was running a bit late today. This was rather unfortunate. She bit her lip. If she let herself get too frazzled, she would look ridiculous, and from what she understood, she was going to be working with a group of third years. There was no way she could let herself look ridiculous in front of them, no matter how late she was running already.

So, instead of rushing, she took her time, making sure she looked perfect and in place before she entered the room with the other boils. Well, it looked like she was unique for two reasons this year. She was a year two and she was a ghoul.

With a cheerful wave and a respectful bow of the head, Serafina's feet lifted off the ground, and she levitated over to her chair, taking a gentle seat in it once she arrived. Considering she had the ability, why not?

Once everyone had arrived, Alexander stood up from his seat with a large smile, leaning forward with two hands pressed against the table.

"Frost, Sparrow, Jack." He nodded to the three boils happily, then lifting a hand, gave the ghoul a small salute. "Serafina, was it?" He hadn't met her before, though he was sure he'd seen her around, in classes and what not.

"I invited you here because you each signed up for the job of chaperone at the next Student Council event; Prom. Now, I'm sure we all know that "chaperone" is just a fancy way of saying "security guard", right?" He stood up straight from his position, one hand reaching up to push hair back out of his eyes, before each found their way into his jeans pockets.

"So as such, it will be your duty to keep an eye on things, stifle trouble should it arise, and most importantly, keep an eye on the punch bowl. I think you all know why." At this point his smile spread into a face splitting grin and he turned to shuffle out and around from his side of the table.

"If you'll all just follow me, we have a bit of ground to cover. Feel free to ask me questions as we go along!"

Watch the punch bowl, eh?

Serafina certainly knew why that might end up necessary.

Yes, chaperone was a fancy way of saying security guard, except they were a security guard that specialized in people who weren't really mature yet. Frankly, she was okay with that. Serafina wasn't exactly too tough--in fact, she was probably the opposite of tough in a lot of ways--but that didn't mean she didn't like some of the perks that came with being a security guard, like those private rooms they always got, with the skellyvisions on everywhere in the building...

Okay, she didn't imagine chaperoning for a prom was nearly that fancy, but it still gave her an excuse to nose in on what everyone was doing and not be thought of as a nuisance for it, and that was right up Serafina Arai's alley. Hopefully he didn't expect much combat skill out of her, though...

Serafina levitated out of her chair, hovering in place as Alex moved over to their side of the table.

With a nod, she offered a, "Lead the way."

Frost was pleased to see that he knew the others who would be working security. Even if one was... well, cat. Eyes widened before fixating on Jack and his tail briefly, mide hitting a small wall of 'cat'.

Then Alex started talking and all was well. For now. "The punch bowl, the tables, rafters, under tables, corners- anywhere students might engage in unsavory activities basically." He shrugged, following Alex, "what will we do if certain individuals are well... resistant?"

The others would have no trouble at all to keep up with Alex's slowly shambling pace. He was not much for fast movements unless they were necessary, and right now, it didn't really seem to be necessary. Besides, it would give them all plenty of time to think of questions they might wish to ask, and it would also give Alex plenty of time tot think of an answer.

Putting himself at the lead of the little group, he tilted his head to the side before glancing towards Frost. "Resistant? Hopefully we won't have to deal with anything like that...." He frowned a little bit to himself, though not out of thought. The mere idea of anybody causing that much trouble was simply distasteful to him.

"If any individual has been asked either to stop what they are doing or to leave due to...unsavory activities," He flashed Frost a grin. "And refuse, you are to get in contact with me or any other member of the Student Council immediately. We have a way to deal with them."

Eventually Alexander led the group of chaperones outside, holding the door open for each of them before moving on, still smiling cheerfully all the way.

Eventually, in a cleared out and massive area of school property, he stopped, and opened his arms wide. "Welcome to the prom grounds." Another grin split his face. "This year we are going to be outside for prom. Everything will be outside, including the dance!" At this point, some might question why he would say "including the dance". Wasn't prom usually just a dance? They wouldn't have to wait long for an explanation, however.

"The rides will be over there." He gestured to one area, and then pointed to another, "The midway will be set up there. The dance..." He turned, and swept his hands to each side. "Over there. Three main areas for us to keep an eye on. I did mean it when I said we had a bit of ground to cover."

More like a lot of ground to cover.

He would let this little bit of knowledge sink in before moving on towards the ground rules.

Serafina definitely questioned the logic behind including the dance. Weren't proms just dances? She had never been to an Amityville prom before, so perhaps there was something different about what happened here than what happened at her all-ghouls' school, but she didn't really understand what the difference could have been. Prom was dancing in fancy costumes and posing for expensive pictures unless--

Whoa.

Rides? She wanted to go on rides! Could she do that if she was a chaperone? She bit her lip under the mask very lightly, pondering if it would be bad to ask, but the excitement was visible in the fact that she was bouncing a little bit even though she was levitating in the air. She didn't really know what a midway was, but she didn't care. When was the last time she had been to an creepmusement park? ... Never. That wasn't the point. The point was, there was going to be one right at prom and that was super cool! They were really going all out on this carnival theme weren't they?

Serafina needed to focus. This wasn't time to get overly excited about prom. This was not what she was here for and she didn't want to look bad in front of a bunch of third years. How embarrassing...

"You're really going all out this year... I'm impressed."

Well, she would offer that much, waiting for the ground rules.

"Don't worry, you guys will still get to participate in all of the fun, I just ask that you keep an eye on what's going on around you while you do it." Alexander answered Serafina's unspoken question, giving them all a broad grin.

"Okay so I'm sure you all want to know what it is you are to be keeping an eye out for. Some of this is going to seem pretty obvious but I'll go over it all anyways. One:" He held up a finger. "There are to be no natural forms. We discussed it as a possibility for the less..uh..disruptive and smaller forms, but there was really no way of making it fair, or so that everyone would be happy, so we nixed the idea all together. No natural forms. Period." Alexander did feel a little bit badly about that one, and gave Frost in particular an apologetic look.

".........OH except if you uh...happen to see a bunch of bunnies around. Those can be left alone." He really didn't want to explain that one.

But anyways, moving right along. "Two: No fighting. If creeple want to fight they can take it to the gym the next day and work it out, it's not going to happen here. This is supposed to be a night of fun. If you see anything that looks like a possible explosive situation ready to happen, you get in, and you diffuse it as quickly as possible. If things get out of hand well...you are within your rights to kick them out, or contact one of the Student Council immediately. As I said, we'll have our own ways of getting rid of the ones that insist on persisting." He really, really hoped it wouldn't have to come to that, though.

"Three: No alcoholic beverages, or mind altering substances of any kind, unless it was previously approved by the Student Council. That's where the punch bowl comes in." He gave a knowing smile to the group. "As a team we have to make sure nobody sneaks anything in to it."

"Finally, and I really hope this won't be an issue, but no indecent exposure. Shirtless and shoeless is fine. Really, even just in their underwear we can let it slide. No nudity. None. Oh, and the horsemen will be joining us, so best to keep a close eye on them as well. Just as we aren't allowed to have natural forms, they won't be allowed to have their mounts. Fair's fair, after all." He shrugged his shoulders, and then went on to show them around the grounds a bit more with better descriptions of what would be where.

The chaperones have been given their ground rules! ICly what this means is, if your character happens to see any of these rules being broken, they are within their rights to ask that student or horsemen to leave the prom! If you are more comfortable asking an SC member first, you can PM any of the members or the mule, or contact us over AIM. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to PM or IM me <3 Thanks a lot guys and I hope you all have a great time at Prom this year!

The great thing was that Alexander seemed to know what she was asking without her actually saying it. So she could go on all the rides? Serafina bit on her lip underneath the surgical mask. Oh Jack ... she might have to convince herself to pay attention! Hopefully the ride lines wouldn't be too terribly long, because she knew she would have to at least give them a whirl... or two... or three...

Of course, Serafina knew that what was more interesting than rides were students causing problems--all the more information to store in her head about behaviors and peoples and things to murmur about the next day--so it was easy enough to bring her back into what was being talked about.

Knowing that she needed to focus, Serafina tore her mind from the rides and instead paid closer attention to what Alex was talking about instead. No natural forms didn't really affect Serafina, though she shot an apologetic glance over at her fellow ghost when Alex did. Her eyebrows shot up a tad when he mentioned something about rabbit natural forms, but he seemed rather eager to move on.

Maybe she'd ask later.

No fights, no alcohol, and no indecent exposure. That made sense to Serafina. Sounded like the standard rundown of things that would cause unnecessary drama and needed to be stopped. And both of the first two would require a close eye, which she was perfectly capable of giving. There would be plenty of interesting boils and ghouls interacting with each other that night which Serafina knew she would love to get the details on.

"Got it, Cap'n."

Serafina followed as Alex led the way, eager to learn about the prom grounds. This was going to be fun...
