Ghubari took one last look at the Pridelands, before he prepared to leave them. It wasn't that he would never return, it was just a matter of when. He didn't know what lie ahead of him, but he knew he had to try. He had to find her, if only to confess his true feelings.
Digging his paws into the dirt, he felt the warmth of home was over him. For a moment, he didn't want to leave, but he knew it had to be done. He'd already given his Mother and Father his plans, and while they had accepted his decision. In his heart he knew they were only saying what they thought he wanted to hear. But all he really wanted to hear was their true feelings. He'd had it with the lies and backstabbing, he just wanted to be happy.
This was his chance ... all he had to do was take it.
Another deep breath, and he raised his trembling paw to the air.
"You can do this 'Bari ... just do it."
