Ebere had to admit, she was SOOOO looking forward to the change over in leadership. Not that she had minded the extra duties, the long hours, the demands of both herself and her beloved but she was looking forward to the day when Hippy didn't have the pressures that kept her awake at night pushing on her. When Hippy didn't worry about what each day would bring for her pride, how they would survive. Oh Ebe knew that wouldn't go away completely, Hippy was a worry wart, but that burden wouldn't be on the two of them alone.

Stretching lazily, Ebe yawned flicking her ears lazily as she pried open her golden eyes to look around. As far as she was concerned everything was right in her world. Mandi, Sho and Aria where sprawled together, despite being grown they still liked to cuddle like cubs. She wasn't sure where the rest of the girls where but likely Zara was with Hippy, learning what she needed to know as the future queen. She had to admit she was so proud of the girl, hell of all their girls though...her ears flicked back thinking about her problem daughter Kyria.

Sighing, she rolled back onto her stomach, head laying on her outstretched legs as she thought about the spoiled girl. She had tried everything she could to reach the girl but nothing seemed to break through.

Umeme was not a happy camper right now. She'd only just recently come to learn of the new changes to the pride and already she wanted to turn tail and run. But she wouldn't, it just wasn't her style. She would stay, and protect the new royalty. Or at least, that had been her plan ... until she discovered she was the new royalty. Her newly formed tie with Zara had become something far larger than she'd expected.

No longer was she tasked with her life's duty, now she was doomed to a life as a consort! There mere idea drove her to kick up a cloud of dust! She tried to calm herself as she neared the den. But she was seeing far too much red for serenity to be anywhere near her.

Finally she was before the den, and boy had she tried to calm her nerves. But nothing seemed to do the trick! Instead she stood before the den, legs shaking violently as she tried to compose herself.

She had to talk to Zara and she had to do it now.

"Zaaaaraaa! I know you're in there! Come on out here ... don't make me come in there!"

Umeme's voice held together well enough, and she smiled for a brief moment before her scowl took over once more.
