- The Circlet of Thoth is a golden tiara that trails around the back of the wearer's head, emerging on either side of their forehead in the front. The Circlet resembles a tangle of leafless branches and lends a feathered wing motif to any weapons summoned by its wearer.
Using the Circlet in battle creates sigils on the ground, a simple circle of symbols centered around its wearer that resembles this. The circle glows a bright, pale aqua, as do the wearer's eyes.
The artifact's influence only lasts while evoking its ability in battle.
gaia_crown [ Effects: ] The Circlet has two effects:
- BATTLE EFFECT: MIND OVER MATTER: Usable once per battle. When the wearer's HP drops to 0 or below, this ability is activated. Tapping an inner mental resolve, they fight complete defeat and regain one half of the HP taken by the attack that incapacitated them. This is rounded up and added to 0, regardless of how far below 0 HP the killing blow dropped them.
PASSIVE ABILITY: THE SCRIBE: Once an IC month for an unbroken stretch of three days, the Circlet can manifest itself as an ibis familiar. The familiar is intelligent but aloof, and it doesn't speak, passing information to and from the Circlet's wearer like an external hard drive. It has an eidetic memory and can recall everything it has experienced while summoned with perfect clarity. The wearer can access this knowledge and these memories, but only while the ibis is physically present. While it is not summoned, the wearer has no direct recollection of the ibis's knowledge unless it has been written down or memorized.
If the wearer engages in battle while the ibis is summoned, it disappears and may not manifest for another month.
