[PRP] One Last Shot in the Dark (Azure and Dyas)

[Wolfs Heart]

Azure sighed and dramatically sagged his shoulders in a slump as Dyas tagged him, he had almost forgotten that they had been playing that. The angel began to follow her, guessing she was leading him where he needed to be. He would tag her back as soon as he knew where he was. "It was pretty in there." He mentioned in passing as he walked faster to catch up with her. His arms still burdened with fruit, he wasn't going to be able to tag her again until he dropped them.

Left, left, right, left, then right. Here was where Azure went wrong. She turned right again, gliding into the kitchen. This room was much more simplistic, with a table, two chairs, and a counter top. There were wooden slabs for plates, various utensils and a fire-pit where they would roast items. She went over to the counter and pulled out a sharp knife, the blade a fined edged rock. The female smiled brightly. It was simple, but it was her home, and it accomplished all she needed.

He was almost sheepish as he followed her, feeling ashamed for having to be lead by Dyas, even though it made perfect sense that he didn't know where he was going. Once they were in the kitchen, Azure quickly made his way to the counter to set down the fruit so that he could tag Dyas back. He whirled around quickly, only to find out that Dyas was holding a knife. Yeah, not a good time to play tag... he smiled softly and innocently at her. "Here, I'll take that, you sit down and relax while I serve you." Ah, still in that stage of love.

She flashed a beautiful smile as she nodded and handed over the knife. Made prepared for her? Dyas was a more than capable of taking care of herself, and nothing was ever handed to her on a silver platter. Her father had raised her well. So being cooked for was something that hadn't happened since she was a child. The though made her blush lightly as she sat down on one of the rounded boulders, used as a chair. She was so lucky to have such a charming male by her side.

Azure grinned when he saw that smile of hers, it made everything worth it just to see her smile. The angel began chopping up the fruit on the counter and then mixing it all together. "Uhm..." Azure quickly gave a glance around the kitchen and found where the wooden slab plates were and filled them up with small mountains of fruit. He carried the plates over to the table and set one of them in front of Dyas. Now that he had a free hand, he set it on her shoulder and said, "Tag!" with a silly grin as he sat down on one of the other boulders with his plate.

She watched him carefully as he sliced the fruit, enjoying every moment of it. He was extremely cute, tending to her like this. Her stomach gnawed at her slightly but she ignored it. Food was on its way. Her eyes flicked from the male to the wooden slab of fruit. Her hand lifted to take a piece of apple when she felt his touch on her shoulder. Tag! Her head snapped up as she processed what just happened. Then a grin crept onto her face. Sneaky! Very sneaky. She crinkled her eyes at him before plopping that piece of apple into her mouth. Oh, she'd get him back. Sooner or later. Her dual colored eyes sparkled with mirth.

Azure didn't like the look in Dyas' eyes, something told him he was doomed. He winced and began to eat at his food. "The most gourmet food you'll ever eat." he joked with her as he took a bite of the sticky mango. Every once in a while he would look up at Dyas with a smirk, and then as soon as he caught her eye, quickly look back down. He was keeping his eye on her for in case she sought revenge, but making a game out of it as well. Finally, he cut the game and just stared longingly into her eyes. Games were great and all... but he had only just been reunited with her.

Though he was joking, she found that the meal was simply delicious. With her small meals of mainly meat, it was a wonder how she managed not to suffer from malnourishment. She popped another piece of fruit into her mouth as she played along with their little game, quickly looking up then back down with him. She felt like a teenager again. Another piece of fruit, and then another. She glanced back up to lock onto his eyes, but this time he didn't look away. At that moment, the female almost melted in his gaze. How had she survived so long without him by her side? Life had been so cruel to take him away. Her smile turned warm and she finished her last bite of fruit before standing. Yes, it was about time the game was put to rest for now. They had all the time in the world.

Azure's grin probably wasn't able to get any wider. In fact, his cheeks hurt from how much he had smiled today, it had been a long time since he had smiled this much. When Dyas stood up, Azure quickly gulped down the last few bites of his salad and then stood up as well. He quickly pulled her back into his arms, being across the table was even too far away after what they had been through. "What now, my love?" Azure asked her as he held her tightly against his chest.

If Dyas could laugh, she would of chuckled at how he wolfed down his last food so he could stand with her. She allowed herself to be easily pulled into his warm embrace, wrapping her arms around him as she laid her head upon his chest. Like this, she could feel his heartbeat, one of the most calming sounds she had ever heard. She felt safe and loved, like her nightmare of loneliness was finally over. The female lifted her head and smiled up at the other, taking a deep breath of the smell of Azure. A hand slipped from around the male to lift to her lips as she feigned a yawn. Laying down and cuddling seemed like the perfect close for the day.

The grin changed to a soft smile as they enjoyed the embrace, Azure nodded his head in understanding. Time to rest, it had been quite the exciting day. He reluctantly pulled away from the hug as he took her hand and led her out of the kitchen. He paused at the doorway when he realized he still didn't know where he was going. "Uhm... maybe I should let you lead this time." Azure chuckled.

When he pulled away she instantly missed the warmth of his embrace, but was content with knowing soon enough she would be in it again. She laced their fingers and quietly followed, almost glowing with happiness at her found again love. Then he paused, and her smile grew to a grin. In the following days, she would be sure to show him around so that he would become as comfortable here as she was. The female slipped in front, still holding his hand, and began down the hallway. One of the best days in my life...
