AAAA so soon and yet so far! I'm really excited about it. All the reviews have been fantastic.
I wonder if we'll have to trade friend codes with people again. I'd assume so. Though it'd be kinda cool if you could just pop in on someone you saw playing in your friend list.

The codes are tied to your 3DS system. If they show up on your 3DS friend list (the small orange smiley face on the home screen) they can enter your town when you have the gate open.

In addition, you can mark your friends as "Best Friends". Friends marked with this title can request for you to open the gate over Wi-Fi.

I'm pretty sure all 3DS games use your system friendlist. It's an all in one Friend Code.

Speaking of the Friend List, my sister will really want to play too (once I pick up the game). Will my friends be able to know if I'm playing or not?

Like what? I only played Wild World before this.

Tricks

One of them is that you can adjust the date and time, the second is that if you hit rocks with a shovel you can get bells, but I have yet to see any gold or silver items yet.
