The city of Phonyville city... Is not under attack! It's was just another peaceful bright sun shiny day and Rosewrite was happy to be a part of. He sat peacefully on a bench in the city park, discovering things like grass growing through the side walks and new and interesting weeds. Just a few things he could added to his book. All in all it was a pretty okay day, nothing extrodinary but nothing bad either. Eventually he found his way under a shady tree, watching phonies as they all enjoyed their day as well. “I'm glad I came out to the city today.” The little colt said to himself, his tail lightly swishing against the soft grass.

After a few moments of enjoyment beneath the shaded tree Rosewrite heard a voice. Turning to see a bright red filly, even wearing a cape. What was he happy about? Nothing was going on, but still he was happy to be here. Her gave a small honesty shrug. "It's a nice day outside today and every one else is happy so why not?" The little colt sat there looking to the super phony. "What about you? Are you happy?" He paused for a moment before deciding to introduce himself. "My name is Rosewrite, by the way." He gave a small nod before smiling.

"Nice to meet you, er.. Ms. Marvel." He gave a small smile after greeting her. So, was she a superhero or something? It was kind of strange, but refreshing at the same time. "Um, I like to come out here and look at plants and stuff. You do daily patrols? Are the people here ever unsafe?" The question peeked his curiosity. How much danger could really be in a park?

She stopped bad guys? That made looking for flowers, look really boring... He seemed to have a straight face as he listened to the filly talk. "Oh you, nothing that big of a deal... Just a big plant that eats phonies. It's really dangerous." He shrugged it off, acting like it was nothing, when in fact he had just made it up. "Stopping bad guys is important, but I think finding this plant is reaaallly important." It eats phonies after all.

"What!? No way!" He gave a small little frown, almost believing his own lies. "What if you got hurt.... Then there would be no one to protect all the phonies." The little pink colt folded is hooves in front of him. There was no way he was going to tell Marvel now that he was lying. He probably shouldn't go too much further though.

“Ha, how do you have super powers!?”

Rose said maybe even a bit bluntly. He was probably caught in his own lie, turning it around to Marvel was the only thing he could think of. Well it was starting to make him feel bad. Were they both just trying to out do each other? Rose took a moment to think over some things, but then shook his head. “You don’t have super powers.” He said taking the defensive again.

Rose listened to the super power lovin’ phony and immediately felt terrible. Why did he have to point that out? Clearly she didn’t have powers… but she was still a super cool gal. A hoof scratched the back of his head. “I’m sorry. I bet you do a great job even with out powers…”

He then shook his head. “No, there is no giant phony eating plant…. But if there was one I know who the best person for the job would be.” He gave a small smile feeling slightly embarrassed over his silly lies. “Hope I didn’t offend you or anything Miss Marvel.”

With a bit of a nervous laugh to his voice he agreed. "Yeah I think we learned that lying can bite you in the rump sometimes."

It was already time for them to part. The next time they met he would hope she wouldn't think of him as a liar. After this incident he couldn't see himself wanting to lie anymore. "I'll be headin' home for lunch. See ya later." That was no lie! He smiled and gave a big wave goodbye to Marvel as they took they separate roads.
