Candy Dandy was busy. Now that spring was coming to Phonyland, fruits and veggies were beginning to show up, and that meant she had things to work with! She was humming along, sorting her tiny tomatoes into piles. These were going to be the centerpieces to a flower arrangement that she was going to give to her friend Moth-Drops, who just recently had gotten her cutie mark.
She began to poke small toothpicks into the tops of the tomatoes, and, still humming, used a cookie cutter and a shop tap of the hoof to create flower shaped cucumbers. The tomatoes were pressed into the centers, and Candy smiled to herself while she then put these in a small pile.
Candy had to admit, this was what she preferred to do. Sure, going outside was nice, and going to parties was fun, and even playing games with her siblings was entertaining. But when it came down to it, she shared her mother's love of cooking, and her dad's love for artistic expression. She combined them into fun arrangements of food.
The flowers complete, she poked larger sticks into the basket, sticking the cucumber flowers on top. Next were the lettuce leaves for, well, the leaves. She tied them to the sticks, stopping every now and again to admire her work. But those flowers looked a little bare...
She rummaged through her ingredients, thinking about what would make her basket even better. She found baby carrots, and an idea struck her. Candy got to work, cutting and pinning, exclaiming of her brilliance and hoping that Moth Drops liked her basket.
I wish I could do this forever. she thought, placing her additions in the basket. I think I would be very happy with this.
She took a final step back, looking at the basket. It was blue and red, with cucumber flowers and tomato centers above. Along the stems and basket, baby carrot and lettuce moths were carefully placed. The inside was a mixture of whole veggies that Moth Drops could use for her own cooking.
Candy felt pride well deep from within her. She was really good at this! A tingly sensation made her jump, and caused her to spin in circles until it subsided. She checked her rump and gasped, then screamed. A cutie mark! It was really there! She screamed again, not caring if it caused the neighbors to come running. Part of her hoped that it would. HER FREAKING CUTIE MARK!
