[ Exams ] Waiting Room

[Ergo War]

The central hub of the Exam attendees. Here they will receive medical attention, three square meals a day, and a place to stay where they will be safe. This is one of the most secure places in the city, in that it is the old maximum security prison and asylum.

Thick walls and heavy iron bars are the building's most obvious features. Across every pane of glass is a thick metal lattice designed to stop all but the smallest weapons. The hallways are long and labyrinthine, the walls meeting at strange angles. Sound travels poorly because of this, which was used in the old days to limit the range of the shrieks of the patients. The large entrance hall is carpeted and separated from the rest of the facility by thick steel doors. Visitors and competitors are free to come and go as they please, but the matches will only be announced in this room and no effort will be made to locate any missing combatants. Food is served on demand, but the waiters won't bring anything good without a little extra "motivation"... by which they generally mean "tips".

Upon entering, each contestant is given a key to their room, which can be locked from the inside. The room itself is bare except for an old radiator, a barred window, and an old bed. Not even spiders have moved in since the last inhabitants left those many years ago.

Appearing to be the first to arrive, Samuru paused in the entrance hall, staring up at the wide area, amazed at the carpet. His gaze swept the hall, from the doors that he'd come through to the area around it Wow.... he wobbled in, carefully walking through, one key in hand as he searched for his room in the long corridor. After a moments confusion, he found it tucked into a corner and slipped in side. Giving the bed a dubious look, Samuru tossed his bags on the bed and pulled a sleeping bag from his own pack. Throwing it on the floor, he settled down on it and took a deep breath, resting for the moment.

Walking around, Marco looked at the piece of paper that gave directions of where to go. Shifting his weight a little bit, he looked around some. Spotting a building he looked back down at the paper. Well that looked like the place. Shifting his weight some, Marco headed for the building. Once he got inside, he showed the paper to a lady at a desk and he was handed a key. Giving off a small nod to the lady, Marco headed off to find his room. Finding his room, Marco opened it up and headed inside. Looking around the room, it was less then appealing. "This is the best they could come up with? Maybe they are having us stay here due to the crime in the city. Or they are just too cheap to for anything else." Oh well, it would have to do. Putting his bag down, he opened it up and dug around. Pulling out his violin case, he opened it up and pulled out the violin. He always liked to check out his violin after traveling just to make sure nothing happened to it.

As Chokichi approached the building, he stood at the entrance doors before entering. He looked back and forth from his paper to the building. He wasn't convinced that this place was where the Chuunin Exams would be taken place, but according to the paper it was. Entering the building, he approached the lady sitting at the front desk. "Chokichi Matsumoto..." The lady handed him a room key with the room number on it. He walked up to his room and opened the door. This place is ran down. thought the teen as sat his bags by the bed and laid on the bed.

Not sure how safe leaving his stuff in his room would be, Samuru walked to the door and peeked out, looking up and down the hall to see if anyone was about. He'd heard doors opening and closing but the hall seemed empty. Standing in the door way, Samuru began to go through his pockets, seeing what he had.

Shito entered the waiting area and saw someone at a desk. He walked up to them and told them his name. The person at the desk looked up at him then back down. The person finally put a key on to the desk then pointed down a hall way. "Thank... you? I guess." Shito said as he picked up hes room key and started to head down the hall. He didn't see anyone at all in the halls, except one person in a door way. "Hey there. Where you from?" Shito asked the person as he walked up to him. Shito looked side to side trying to figure out where his room is while he was waiting for the person to reply.

Samuru looked up from working his pockets, staring at the boy in front of him "...Konoha." he replied, his voice nearly impossible to hear as he fell back into his shy persona. He pulled his hand out of his pocket, examining the small change, rock and a slip of blank paper then put it all back in. Looking back up at the boy, he tried again "And you...?" he was only slightly louder at this point but it was more audible.

Making his way through the town, Hugo finally found the place with ease. As he stared toward the building, he noticed a lady outside with a Kangaroo. The two looked pretty familiar to him. Of course, they were from Kumo just like him. Hopefully he wouldn't have to fight a person from the same village as him, but that might not b able to be avoided. Anyways, Hugo wanted to get signed in, so as he passed he just gave a small nod.Getting inside, Hugo walked up to a desk a lady was at. Showing her the paper, he got his room key. However, rather then heading to his room, Hugo stuck to the lobby. Finding a good place to sit down, Hugo sat down crossing his legs and closed his eyes. For now, he would sit there and listen.

Kaito would arrive at the place known as the "Waiting Room." He would approach the attendant on duty, state his name, and head for his room after retrieving his key. He did not feel like chatting with the competition. He would head straight for his room, set his bag down, and sit on the floor. He would then enter a meditating state to calm his nerves.
