User ImageTyra had no problems finding the branch that had called to her. In next to no time at all, the firey red head had whipped out her blade and carved her name into the branch. It was only then that she sheathed her weapon and returned to the great tree. She had heard of some of the other faun doing this, and felt it only right. She knew power would come of this act, and that was exactly what she wanted.

With abilities she would't be nearly as defenseless as she felt. Sure, there was weaponry, and her hooves seemed rather strong.. But did she really feel safe? No. That was impossible. She frowned, looking down at the branch. Tyra had to wonder what this would grant her. Was it something she had inside her all along or was it random choice?

She thought on it the entire time, trying to figure things out. Finally, the time had arrived for her to drink from the ceremonial bowl. With a smirk, Tyra knocked it back as she would have any of the... Not so child friendly drinks from her homeland.

She waited. And waited a bit more. Nothing. The red head frowned, looking around at everyone. "Is there something supposed to happen now?" Tyra sounded more angry than curious. It seemed her main trait. Blood thirsty and pissed.

Still, nothing happened. She hadn't seen any of these so called ceremonies before, so she really had no idea what was supposed to happen right now. Was she not supposed to take it like a shot? She was starting to get really mad at this point. No one was even offering her answers. The firey faun started tapping her hooves, mood only getting worse. Until it overtook her. The rage, the bloodlust, the fur. The fur? Tyra winced in pain, not letting this show. But still, other than pain, nothing was happening through her rage.

The red head closed her eyes, not letting anyone see her pain. It was pure physical. Like something was trying to rip its way out of her body. She almost couldn't stand it.

Tyra frowned, rubbing the golden armour on her wrists. It was sitting like this that she lulled herself into trance. It was unusual for her, she'd never experienced something like it before. Her eyes were half lidded, her jaw slack. Her arms and legs were limp. And it felt as though she were floating. How was that possible?

Slowly, Tyra forced her glowing red eyes open. She wanted to look around. No, she needed to look around. Something felt off. She felt her body tense, ready for something to attack her. Something was going to happen, she knew it. Scanning the room, it was different. Not the same tree she had been sitting in before. Yet... Still familiar. Like it was something important to her all the same.

What was that? In the corner? The firey female narrowed her eyes, starting to edge forward. Her curiosity was just about to kill her. It looked like a firey tail. She didn't know of another with the same firey looks as her. That was strange.

The thing in the shadow flicked from one side to another. Her eyes continued to follow the flickering thing. Tyra tilted her head, advancing towards it. This was very strange.

Whats more, it was... It flickered like her own tail did. That was even more strange. Finally.. It started to emerge. She grinned, crouching as she let it approach her.

Her grin stopped just as suddenly had appeared. She froze in place. Just. Frozen. There was a lion standing in front of her. It was doing more than just standing. It was... Glaring at her?

Tyra looked up at this glowing red beast, matching his look with her own glare. Their eyes matched. They had the same eyes? This was interesting. So he looked like she did, he had the same flickering flaming hair as her, the same eyes. What was this creature? How had he managed to imitate her looks so well without ever seeing her before?

"What are you?" Tyra all but growled. She couldn't help it. It was almost a defense mechanism. This time, however, it was most assuredly because she didn't wish to be eaten. Though, if she was going to get eaten, she didn't mind it being by something as intimidating as this lion.

"I am what you will be." The lion growled, looking down at the faun. It was an odd thing to think, soon he, a great lion, would attempt to bond himself with this little faun. He was a great warrior, the best of the best, and here stood this faun... That bared an uncanny resemblance to him. He didn't care for it at all.

Tyra's eyes narrowed, folding her arms. Surely this was a joke. This was her power? A lion? What the hell was wrong with this world? The faunie frowned, "What I will be? Are you insane? I don't even know how you would pull that off." She laughed, rolling her glowing red eyes. There was no way she was going to be a lion.

"Laugh all you will, all things happen for a reason." his voice was still nothing but a growl. The lion lifted one of his giant paws, taking a swipe at her. This little faun was irritating him. He'd seen pae come and go across the isle, yet he'd never shown himself to any. Why did he choose this one? What was so special about her?

Tyra saw the muscles in shoulder tense up and lift his paw before he had the chance to swipe at her. Her reflexes kicked in, causing her to jump back. She grinned. "Are we going to fight Lion? I'd rather enjoy a nice pelt to keep warm with." She teased.

His laughter rumbled out of his throat, shaking the room. This lion, he was powerful. At least in this realm he was. She didn't even know where she was. "I'd rather just get this over with." He nodded, flicking his flaming tail from one side to the other. He would fight her if she had insisted, but he would rather rest. Sure, he was full of anger, rage, lust, any emotion he could summon, but he didn't want to fight. It wasn't in him right then. Nor often anymore.

Tyra glared at the lion, shifting uncomfortably. She had finally noticed that none of her usual weapons had accompanied her. She was unarmed and potentially vulnerable. Her armor was there, but not the blades and blunt objects she enjoyed carrying with her.

No matter, he didn't look like a fight right now. He seemed... Safer. Like her own. Perhaps they could just... Tyra had no idea, she wanted back to her body, back with her weaponry.

"Open your mind child, you cannot receive your gifts being so close minded." He frowned, sitting down. She was going to bore him away if she didn't do something soon. All the work it would take for her to get here only to go back with nothing. He enjoyed the idea.

"My mind is open. What are you supposed to do?" Clearly, this was new to her. Something she was hoping to never experience again. This realm, the faunie didn't care for it at all. Least of which, the fact that she seemed weakened. With a shudder, her vision returned to the lion. He looked bored. Just utterly bored.

"My mind is open, what now?"

He stood, placing paw after paw. The lion advanced like this until he was standing directly over top the fiery mare. If he had wanted to, she would be easy picking. But this one. She wasn't flinching, she wasn't backing away. She was standing her ground. He had made the right choice in appearing to her. Licking his maw, the lion took one more step forward, starting to bond himself to the girl.

Tyra knew better than to show fear. Creatures like him could smell it. She sneered for a moment before he advance towards her. Her expression went to neutral as she waited for him. Her mind was open, waiting for him. As this mare had no idea what she was to do, everything waited for him.

It was as he took the final step that she felt the warmth he was bringing onto her. The heat his body gave off. Slowly it was filling her with its own heat. Her glowing red eyes went wide with a momentary shock. She'd never felt anything like it. It felt like it took all the time in the world, yet no time at all to fill her entirely.

At some point she had closed her eyes. She hadn't noticed that her lion had disappeared. Or was it her? They were one in the same now, she could feel it. Tyra exhaled, feeling the power she had just gained through bonding with this ferocious animal. She was sure she could return to her body at this point. Just as sure as she wouldn't be ready to move for a good long time after this.

She took another breath, concentrating on the others around her. It took time, and a lot of concentration, but she made it.

With a growl of relief, Tyra looked around at those who were in the area with her. "Lion..." She mumbled and passed out, fiery hair still whipping about her as it always had.
