User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. He was happy. That one night, just a little while ago, turned into a wonderful think. Not to mention the doe returned to tell him! The grin would not leave his face as they walked through the swamp, looking for one of the blessed. "Now my mother always said they also go as the animals around here." So really, it seemed like him and Evening Fog would be better off waiting for a stag or mare to chance upon them.

Sleep Dust turned to watch the mostly green doe, he wanted to be prepared to catch her should she trip. The hazards of living with low growing plants. "Do you think we will find one here?"

User Image Evening Fog grinned back at the buck by her side. It was a little silly perhaps, but in her own way she was as happy as he. It was her first clutch and as young as she was, she thrilled to feel that stirring of life within her. Already she felt blessed by the MotherFather.

Sleep Dust's eager enthusiasm only made her happier that she had brought the news to him. She was quiet for a time, as was her way, before she smiled up at him and responded. "If your mother believes they are around here I feel we should trust her judgement."

The attention he paid to her was flattering, and she felt she'd made the right choice in him. She was a creature of the swamps though and it would take more than the usual brush to upset her balance. Evening Fog stepped carefully and slowly. From what she had been told, it was less the search and more the desire that drew the legendary kimeti to a hopeful doe.

"To be able to take another form..." She mused, unsure of how she felt of the idea. Natural curiosity ate at her, yet she also felt a reservation, a love of her own body and who she was.

User ImageA desire, a need for one like him, or maybe the fact that the two are practically in his back yard. Either way, Fish Bones is close, watching the two. He'd have approached them already, but something about the buck was familiar. He watched a moment longer, trying to place it, then gave a little shrug and bounded off to meet these two.

Fish Bones comes to a stop, no more then half a stride from the pair. Hello. He thinks to them. A good day to be out and about. he adds, a twinkle in his eye. Only one reason to seek one of the MotherFather's chosen. Well, usually only one, and the only one he's been sought after for in the past.

((omg guys I'm so sorry, I completely forgot.))

He nodded at her statement. His mother seemed to know a thing or two about blessings. He smirked at the thought of his half siblings running through the swamp themselves. Before he could really respond, a thought hit him and he looked down at a foxbun.
"Hello to you." The expression was enough for him to know that they had found one. "I hope we are not intruding or disturbing you." Now and again, Sleep Dust has heard you give a Legendary a small gift, too. His eyes turned to look back, wondering if Small Steps found what he had asked.

Evening halted her steps, hoof raised inches from the ground as a foxbun darted straight into their path. Her breath caught at the sight. The bun's eyes shone with an unnatural intelligence and his voice trickled into her mind. This must be one of the Legendary ones, the MotherFather's chosen. Dust's mother had been right.

She let Sleep Dust greet him first, looking to her mate for guidance. In turn, she dipped her head low to the foxbun. "Hello. It is a wonderful day, thank you." She had no gifts of her own, not knowing what might or might not be appropriate. She leaned towards Dust just the slightest, close enough to feel the heat of his body without touching him.

User ImageFish Bones shakes his head, You're no bother, its a joy to meet new kin. Fish Bones looks from one to the other, wondering if they'll make the request or wait for him to suggest it. Some seem to like to ask and others to wait, as if asking for a blessing is a burden to him. Never, he thinks, blessings are a gift and easy enough to give. The thought that they are waiting on a gift for him doesn't occur to Fish Bones. He never expects gifts in return, though he won't refuse one that is offered. So he watches the two patiently, trying to gauge their moods and reactions.

He smiled. It was a relief to know it didn't bother this one. "It is." He didn't know exactly how to ask, but soon the words seemed to come to him. "I recently came to find out that I am to be a father. Evening Fog came back to tell me." Dust's voice was a bit sheepish as if he really needed to explain.

Small Steps, the eaglehound that travels with him, arrived at that moment. She had something in her mouth, a vine of some sort it appeared. With little glance at the buck, she dropped it by Fish Bones and went back to her own hunt. "For you as a thank you."

Dust had explained the situation, and even thanked the foxbun, but hadn't actually asked the question. Evening Fog touched him with her nose affectionately. "We've come to ask for your blessing if you'd be so kind as to grant it."

The green and yellow mare watched Small Steps passage with interest. A Vine? She tucked that little bit of information away in her mind for future reference. Evening Fog was thankful that Dust had at least thought to have his eaglehound bring something.

User ImageFish Bones is a bit puzzled by the vine, but figuring it must have meaning he accepts it. May you and yours be full of happiness. He thinks to them.

With a hop he's at the doe's side and gives her leg a friendly pat, looking up at her to silently convey his congratulations on the new life. Including the father as well, before giving a wave and bounding off. He stops long enough to scoop up an end of then vine and then is on his way, sending a Good day. back to them.

Dust didn't understand the vine much himself, at first, but it could be useful. "Thank you." It was a relief to hear those words. He rubbed against Evening, knowing she had heard as well.

As the foxbun took off with the vine, did Dust realize that it was a sentimental thing of his. He had found it close to his resting place and was using it as something to keep drier when it rained. Laughing as he knew the chosen one would find more use for it. "Later, my friend."

Her flesh tingled and felt warm where the foxbun touched her. Whether that was her imagination or not she didn't know and didn't care. It was enough that they had received a blessing. She hadn't known what to expect or what she even desired but a prayer for happiness seemed perfect. That their children be happy in their lives, the thought made her own heart swell.

"Thank you." She smiled at the retreating Legendary. She nuzzled Dust's chin, pressing herself against him. They were happy as well.
