Pelagious gave another mighty chop, the hollow thunk resounding across the beach. He adjusted the broken wood on the small tree trunk and gave it another mighty whack. Upon examination, he was pleased with the split lumber. Onto the pile it went. Grabbing the other peice of wood, he adjusted it and lowered the axe.
He had been doing this for several days now. His shoulders were stiff and his pile of lumber was growing larger by the minute. And he was one plank of wood closer to his house. He grabbed another peice of wood and positioned it before the THUNK echoed again.
When he had enough, the fishy nymph took a deep breath and smiled. The smell of the seawater curled around his nose. The water in the air carressed his body softly. He was in heaven.
The blue demon stretched and let the salty sea air carress him for a few more minutes. Then he ran to the shoreline and dived into the water.
