Pelagious gave another mighty chop, the hollow thunk resounding across the beach. He adjusted the broken wood on the small tree trunk and gave it another mighty whack. Upon examination, he was pleased with the split lumber. Onto the pile it went. Grabbing the other peice of wood, he adjusted it and lowered the axe.

He had been doing this for several days now. His shoulders were stiff and his pile of lumber was growing larger by the minute. And he was one plank of wood closer to his house. He grabbed another peice of wood and positioned it before the THUNK echoed again.

When he had enough, the fishy nymph took a deep breath and smiled. The smell of the seawater curled around his nose. The water in the air carressed his body softly. He was in heaven.

The blue demon stretched and let the salty sea air carress him for a few more minutes. Then he ran to the shoreline and dived into the water.

}elagious sighed, moving his hands through the water and moving ever so gracefullly on the waves. He felt so relaxed and calm floating on the blue liquid.

A little later, he decided to resume his project. Trdging his way up the beach, he played the sand between his toes. Followed a crab. Anything but going back to the manual labor. Sure, he was building a house. DId that mean he had to build it himself? Unfortunately.

Sighing a little forlornly, he took up the large bundles of logs he had split and hiked his happy butt a little ways east. Just out of the forset but not quite in the middle of the small plains ares before the beach.

Setting his stuff down, he picked up some nails and resumed the hammering that it took the apply the board to the frame work he had been working on the last few days.

After a few days of this wood cutting and nailing, he had enough of a frame made that he could finally put his little house together. Dragging the last big square over to the exposed foundation he had laid down in broken and unbroken rocks/bricks, he set the last frame up and began nailing it into place. when that was finished, he took a step back and smiled.

It was beautiful.
