Shaking the sickness off and getting back on his feet once again, makoto smiled as he gripped the handle of the nodachi and started to feel the weight. The weight seemed a little lighter but also alittle heavier, like he was impressed that he could lift it up and everything… but the sickness was making it harder for him to properly use it. But it was still getting harder to use it over time, it was like training only increased the worst of the sickness inside of him and the light was over heating him or adding on the heat he was already in.

The sickness that he had been fighting was fighting back against him, his headache was bad and his stomach had turned. Shaking it off he tried to do a few moves in the shade of the tree that he leaned against, only to be meet with a terrible backlash. His stomach started to knot up inside of him and he felt something trying to excape from his mouth, he knew what was about to happen but be could not fight back against it, it had to come out now.

Finally turning his head to the side and bracing himself, makoto started to throw up what he had eaten that morning onto the training ground. Relief started to pour out of his stomach as the contents of his stomach hit the ground, but his headache also relaxed a lot faster and better than before. But looking up with pained, reddened eyes that seem to hurt, makoto spitted the last of the stuff in his mouth out before he stud up.

His body was no longer restricted because of the stomach virus and started to attack the tree quickly again. His headache slowed him down abit but the attacks seemed to be abit more powerful now, maybe the sickness was the real problem for all of his failures? But he relaxed and looked down at what remained of his breakfast before he sheathed the nodachi and sighed to himself, he was not really in the mood to train, but his morals told him he needed too… the same morals that got him in the hospital again.

Miyako tread water for a few moments before taking a deep breath and diving back down. This was the perfect way to increase her lung capacity, though she hoped that she wouldn't pass out. The last thing she needed was to drown herself in the lake. She wondered if this lake was always here, or if it was man-made. Her guess was man-made for the purpose of ninja training. She tried to hold her breath, however a cough crawled up her throat and managed to escape and her lungs began filling up with water. She resurfaced and continued coughing. Great idea Miyako. What will you think of next?

After gathering herself she moved her hair behind her ear and remembered her new piercing. She sighed and would have to go home right away and clean it out before it would get infected. She held her breath and lowered herself under the water. She held her breath as long as she could, which seemed to be quite a while. She remained under the water until she couldn't hold it anymore, as what you would do when training to expand your lungs and increase your endurance.

Miyako was determined to get stronger and better at being a shinobi. She wanted to protect others, just as Urza did. She began choking on her spit and immediately resurfaced coughing and gasping for air. It didn't seem that holding her breath was really a strong point of hers. Good thing she was working on it. Better to work out the weaknesses than keep training her strong points, though she needed to work on those as well. At her rate maybe she could beat a fly... maybe... She wiped the water from her eyes and looked around the lake. No one else had seen to come, which was a relief as she was hardly wearing anything. She didn't want anyone seeing anything... or she'd have to bash their face in.

She took a deep breath as she went below the water's surface, only to resurface yet again. She began coughing, trying to expel the water from her burning lungs. It was that Miyako took a breath in and didn't hold it quick enough and she inhaled a mouthful of water. Yuck that was gross... I don't even want to know what could be swimming in this water. The thought of it made her quiver enough. She was surprised, however, to not see many fish.

Urza walked upon the land of rice fresh faced and bushy tailed. It had been a long time since she had seen the training grounds, and she was ready to get back to work. Her body was still tired from the long mission to the weird little village, but she had to keep moving. The Knight looked finding a nice shady spot under a tree. It was funny, this is the same type of place Urza had started her training, so long ago. At the time she had been working on making her body stronger, but in all that time she had neglected to sharpen her mind.

Today Urza felt like doing something new... She felt like playing Sudoku. Urza had never been keen on puzzles, but she knew now more than ever how important it was for Shinobi to keep their minds sharp. A Shinobi's mind was like a guardians shield. It protected them from death, and in turn became the most unsuspecting weapon. Urza looked down at the ground, using the tip of her shield to draw out a rough Sudoku grid. Lucky for her she remembered one of the patterns from a basic book, so she began by filling in the number that were given. She doubted completing the puzzle would be so easy.

Urza looked at her board for a moment, doing some simple mathematics in her head. she was able to find the most likely places for at least two numbers. It wasn't much, but progress was progress. Urza had never been the type to do mental math for fun. At the Cathedral Urza had been taught that an idol time was to be spent blessing the Lord in the form of physical labor. Mental labor had always been looked down upon because the effects of it were less prominent. It was a sign of weakness to cop out and read books instead of building up the Cathedral. Yet here she was, as the wind swept through the fields of rice. Standing in her armor. Doing math in the dirt.

Urza began to struggle more and more as she filled out her grid. She had been able to find a few of the numbers pretty quickly... Or at least. She thought she had. Urza was no math whiz so she would not have been surprised to find that she had already royally messed up. Urza did the math over and over trying to figure out where she was going wrong, but to no avail. It seemed that for the time being this Sudoku puzzle was getting the better of her. Urza stretch looking into the sky. All Urza could see right now was numbers.

The more Urza looked at her math the more she started to doubt herself. Was five plus two really seven? Urza had to double check herself on every bit of math. For some reason something somewhere wasn't adding up, and if Urza fell pray to the sin of gambling, she would have bet on it being an error in carrying numbers. The Knight was stumped for now, but she wasn't going to back down. She was going to to figure out what was going wrong, even if it meant sitting there all night and drawing every combination of numbers in the boxes.

Although the young Knight Urza had been going over her math she still could not find the error. She tried starting form the beginning and filling in the ones she knew were correct. From there she took it one step at a time. Just one number, all she had to do was find one number. Urza looked at the board and shook her head. Any confidence she had in her math skills had vanished, and now she was unsure of were she should even begin." Could I add a one here and... No no.. That would be too much on this row... Maybe a three? in this box... but there is already a three there...." Urza sighed tilting her head to the side and giving the game some serious thought.

The more Urza looked at the puzzle, the more it began making sense to her. She was able to move some of the numbers around and before she knew it it seemed as if she had a complete row. However Urza knew that even if you thought you were right, there was always the possibility to be horribly wrong once more numbers were found. For now however she was confident. She knew that if nothing else at least a few of the numbers had to be right, after all there were only oh so many combinations. Right?

Just as Urza felt she was making progress she stumbled back into a mental block. The row she had formed earlier was correct, but she wasn't able to get the column to line up correctly. She slowly rotated through numbers trying to make sure none interfered with the formation of the box. For such a simple little puzzle the game had many levels of complexity to it. The ability to think in three directions simultaneously. Urza was sure if she could master this sort of art there would be no stopping her as a Knight. Urza had a knack for combat. And that made her a meat shield. Urza was ok with being a meat shield. It meant she could protect her friends. But still. Deep down, Urza knew she was meant for more. Combat was more than bashing heads. It was complex, just like this game.

Urza slowed her thought process. It didn't help trying to stress over all of the possibilities at once. What she needed to do was attack each set one at a time. Urza looked at the numbers she had written and looked for an empty space. She then shuffled through all of the possible numbers it could be, moved one to the left and repeated the process. She was able to rule out a few by process of elimination, and that was enough for her to finish a box. Urza smiled at her progress. The Maker would be proud of the brain He had given her. Urza laughed a bit There may still be a life for me as a mathematician somewhere. Yeah right. Urza was born to be the shield of The Maker, her God. She lived to serve, and protect. Though it never hurt to be a clever shield.

Urza felt like she was making pretty good progress on her puzzle. She hadn't started that long ago, but already she seemed to have almost half of it filled out. Urza double checked her rows and line, and everything seemed to be fine, up until she ran up to a number that she couldn't quite make out. In her haste she had written the number sloppy, and it was near indistinguishable form a random mess. Urza looked at the numbers around it, and it took only a moment to fix. Urza took a mental note to make sure she didn't make that mistake again.

Urza continued along with her puzzle, making sure to be very careful about writing legibly. It seemed she had about half of the puzzle figured out, and she was making pretty good time too. Urza wondered if there was any real life application of Sudoku. Perhaps it could be used as a codding algorithm for messages? Or a way to think up new combat tactics? Urza racked her brain trying to think of ways she could use it, but came up pretty short. To the young girl all she could see was a game that help build mental flexibility, which didn't seem like much, but the more flexible Urza's thinking got, the more responsive it would be in combat. Either way she was bound and determined to complete this puzzle.

As Urza looked down at her accomplishment she felt an odd sensation building in her. Her facial muscles began to tighten and there was an odd tickling sensation in her sinuses. Urza knew that only meant one thing, there was a sneeze a brewing. Before Urza could lift her heavy armored hand to her face she felt the convulsion of air. Urza's sneeze was so strong it kicked up the loose dirt in front of her, erasing part of the puzzle she had just complete. "The Maker is really testing me today..." Urza sighed lowering her head in a bit of defeated.
