A Possible Date To The Ball [PRP For Dai & I]

Atlantis had ventured up on shore again, not sure what he was doing really since he never came up here but after the meeting with that...pony? He was curious about her a little more and so gripping onto a tree he wondered if he could meet her again. The male had rather been intrigued by her but he didn't know where she could be but a friend of his below had mentioned a Valentines Day party that he was wishing to go to so maybe, to get to know her better, maybe he could ask her to the party, not that he knew how to dance but still it could be fun to go even if he wasn't sure how this dancing thing worked.

Twinkleshine walked on the pathway near the lake, growing more accustomed to the land each day. The sun shone as brightly here as her homeland, the winder winds were just as cold, and the nightly darkness just as still. Yes, though it was all very strange, there remained a certain homeliness that only death could remove. Since she was surely not to die soon, this feeling would continue to lay upon the land.

Oh, how many days had it been since she met that strange man of the water, a creature unlike any she had laid her eyes on before? Day come and night follow, repeating endlessly, but none of her friends would join her in her fun, in her thoughts of princes and war, of fey and witches and the stuff of children's tales. For a child's imagination, yet for also an actress, to whom even the realest of stories followed similar plots as these.

But, alongside this growing boredom among the faun whom seemed disinterested in what she and her culture found fun, there were rumours of a dance held by a deity of love. If only someone would ask her, she could go.

Atlantis started walking awkwardly again, hoping maybe if he followed the path he would be led somewhere where the locals usually hung out mostly or even, by chance, meeting up with the pony again but that would probably be a fluke, he wasn't THAT lucky especially when it was only his third time ever on land. "Now, where could you be...?" He asked, looking around and noticed pink hair over in the distance, walking over as best as he could he called out to the other when he got closer "Twinkleshine!?" He asked as he fell down right in front of the other, the Demon scoffed at him in disgust and walked away which just made the male sigh and struggled getting back up and carried on awkwardly, wondering where she could be.

Twinkleshine began to hum a tune to herself, one of her favorites as a child, as she continues to walk along this path. She was thankful that the weather here was mild, likely because of the water's influence, because she had left all of her scarves, cardigans, well... winter clothing and accessories behind. The snow was one of her favorite things to watch though, their glittering forms falling ever so slightly through the air, kissing the skin before melting into it.

Her humming was rather loud though, a sort of replacement for the bird's calls that would otherwise fill the quiet day. It echoed though the path, reverberated among the tree trunks, this melodious sound.

Atlantis started once again down the path, taking in the birds for once, he hadn't actually just strolled down the path before...even if awkwardly, he stopped however when he heard a humming near by, not sure why but he decided to follow it and, if anything, maybe whoever it was that was humming it would possibly know where Twinkleshine might be, it was a long shot but that was as best as he could do, the next thing would be possibly looking around for someone who was like her and yet that could take a while.

After a while he happened upon the Pae that was humming, from the back she looked like any other Pae really but as he walked over to her he reached a hand out and touched her shoulder "excuse me" he started "could you possibly tell me if you know a Twinkeshine and if so, where she could be?" He asked, hoping she didn't mind him touching her but it was also for the fact he had been walking for a while now without holding onto anything that he needed to now stabilize himself but on the plus side at least he was getting better at this walking thing.

Twinkleshine startled as she felt someone touch her hand, her melody instantly quieting. Who was this person: a villain? a rapist? Without turning to look at him, she flicked her hear, choosing instead to hear him out before turning tail and running.

That voice... She recognized that voice from... somewhere... but where? Then, her name. Those who knew her name would also know where she rested in the night, well, all but one, the man of the water. Turning her her head, she made eye contact with the one she was hoping to chance upon, hoping that, should it happen, they could create another story together as they had before.

Smiling, she tilted her head at him, poking fun at him with a devilish tone, "Does water make you that blind?"

"N...no it doesn't it is just that I came across a Pae before thinking it was you as she had pink hair and couldn't see the rest of her so when I actually fell down at her feet I realized it wasn't you only after already questioning if she was you or not and well...she gave me a disgusted look, scoffed at me and left." He said with a sigh but smiled at her "so I am pleased it is you this time" he said as he let go of her "anyway, hi, how have you been?" He asked, deciding to keep the fact that he had been constantly thinking about her to himself, he didn't want to sound like he was some pervert or stalker or something.

Wow... What a mouthful! Sounds like the poor guy had already had a more eventful day than what she had had in months. If nothing else, today should fall out of the norm, become something so exciting and interesting as she yearned for. Continuing with the teasing, she coo'd, "Well, you mistook someone else for me, so your vision must have worsened." She then grinned, "You even threw yourself at her feet, as if you were kissing the ground she walked on, filled with immaculate joy at your reunion."

Trailing away from the teasing, which had taken a notably darker tone, she instead decided to answer his questions straightforwardly. "Things in the great tree are remarkably bo-oring... Work, eat, sleep. Every day it is the same, though some we get to go run among the branches or meadows below for fun. How is that even fun?" Ending this, she pouted, crossing her arms and asking back, "What about you? Anything new?"

"Oh ha ha" he said sarcastically "I couldn't help it if a large bush was obscuring her body, I can't see through bushes you know!" He said in weak defense "well, at least it is a home right? I mean, where you came from obviously could no longer be habitable for your kind so at least it is a home though have you thought of making your own home somewhere away from The Great Tree?" He suggested to her, thinking that might be easier for her, she didn't NEED to stay there surely. "As for me I have been listening to a friend go on and on about some dance party coming up that he wants to go to, had to leave before he drove me crazy" he said with a sigh, he loved him but really there was only so much he could handle and so he decided to just let his friend go on about it whilst choosing something to wear without him being there "but other then that no, nothing unless you count wanting to see you again" he said as he blushed and looked away from her "I mean...i just liked the time we spent together the other day, it was fascinating for me so..." he trailed off, this world wasn't really so bad once he gave it a go...granted she did make it better.

Twinkleshine thought about it, about leaving the tree, her friends, her princesses. How could she leave them, betray them, after they put so much on the line to bring their entire kingdom to a new land and find another place to make home? For now, at least, she surely could not go. Shaking her head, she softly replied, "My loyalty ties me to them, despite a yearning to go..." Perking up, she instead listened to his story. Dance party? Was this the same thing as Aphrodite's great ball, the one she wanted to attend ever so much. Surely a great actress such as herself was needed in these events.

Calm down Twinkle... Calm down... Just casually mention it. Start with some more conversation, genuine in nature... "Awww, that warms my heart," yes, now smile and continue, "I'm glad I wasn't the only one who's been missing the fun we had." Good! Good.. Now... Lead the conversation that way... "The dance has been a source of talk for many of us too; so many with dates and whatnot. It seems like it'd be a lot of fun to go." Yes! Now, surely he will get the hint.

"Then maybe I could come over some time, even if it is just a fleeting visit, I know I can't be out of water long bit as long as I know where to go and how far it is back to a natural water source it should be fine" he suggested, true he had no idea where it was and from what he heard outsiders were not allowed inside the tree or something but if he was allowed to at least visit the Great Tree and maybe bring her something or even just spend a bit of time with her then maybe it would at least make her day a little bit better. "I am glad you feel the same way" he said looking back at her smiling "at least I am not the only one who had fun that day" he said as he decided to take the hint, after all, it WAS what he was wanting to see her about anyway and she did seem to want to go so it was perfect really "so you heard about it as well? Well how would you like me to escort you there? I wouldn't mind seeing what this worlds parties are like and with great company it would be a lot more fun then going on my own" he asked her, hoping that invite sounded alright, he never had asked a girl out before let alone to a party.

Twinkleshine's eyes sparkled nodding. "Yeah, you could certainly come pay me a visit! I'm not sure if there's any water closer than this, but I'm still pretty new to the area, so there might be." After thinking a moment about his statement, she tilted her head in curiosity. "Why is it that you cannot be out of the water long? What happens if you stray too far?"

More important than her side thought, though, was this party. He did it! He got the hint, she thought to herself as she grinned widely, nodding. "Oh I would love, love, love, love you to take me!" She sighed dramatically before finishing with a tune, "I haven't even been here a month and already I've been asked on a date~" Whether or not he took it to be a date or just a friendly outing, she didn't care, all that really mattered is that she was going, and she wasn't going alone. Hell, she'd probably gone with anyone at this point, considering how many of her friends had already found dates from this new land's residents.

"Then visiting you I shall though I can't be out of water for long as I need to stay close by so I don't dry out which can be bad for us, this necklace..." he said gesturing to the necklace around his neck "holds water from the lake which allows me to walk on land but I just need any natural water source to stop me from drying out so water from a bath or sink won't do, it has to be a lake or something like that" he said as as he grinned a little. "Great!" He said, keeping his cool and not showing his over eagerness, he was ecstatic she wanted to go and with him but he decided that the world didn't NEED to see him looking like a fool, for a male, that just didn't seem right. "I just hope I live up to your expectations though admittedly you are the first Pae I have ever asked on a date" he said blushing a little...but wait, a 'date'? Did he actually think of this as a date? He couldn't deny that when he first saw her he thought she was cute and even spending that little bit of time with her before he thought she sounded cool but still, could this actually be a date? He shook his head, that wasn't important...well it was but wasn't.

"So yeah, I just hope I don't end up embarrassing you or something, I don't want your night to be ruined on account of me and my two left feet" he said, hinting at the fact that he couldn't dance though maybe someone could teach him before the night, either way, he was just thrilled she wanted to go "dancing isn't exactly a strong point of mine so I deeply apologize now for anything and everything that may and could go wrong on the night" he said, hoping that the God's loved him enough to let him have one night of not screwing anything up when he wanted to be the perfect date for the female pony.

Twinkle grinned, winking as she pointed towards herself with her thumb. "Lucky you, I'd say I'm one of the best dancers from our city!" Or, well, she certainly considered herself to be. Nobody else could seem to match her steps or keep up with her rhythms, and they always smiled when she moved her hooves. Some would even join her excitement and fun, laughing and spinning with her.

Oh! Now that she had a date, what was she to wear? She didn't have any clothing here that she knew of... Maybe she could get Rarity to make her something? No way that would happen; she didn't have any money to pay her with. It takes a while for an actress's career to take off and bloom after all, especially in a new land. "Do you know what kind of food they'll have at the dance? Like, just small little appetizers, or enough that we could make a meal of it?"

"Well great, I just had to be paired with a dancer" he teased a little, smiling at her, wondering also what she was going to wear, he did have a few little things he could pay with but who to talk to? Maybe he could talk to a tailor or seamstress up here "though at least one of us can dance so maybe I should take lessons or something" he said as shrugged at the next question. "I don't know I'm sorry, from what I have heard about last years party there is a bit of almost everything since so many people go to these things the ones hosting them don't want their party goers to go hungry so they do do a nice spread apparently but I just heard this from another who went last year so I am not entirely sure for certain." Atlantis said as he walked over to a tree and stabled himself against it "Though, I don't even know what I am to wear as I have never been to anything like this before and so this might be a long shot but do you know anyone who is a tailor or seamstress? I can pay them if they wish I just don't know anyone back home who is good at making clothes, thats all" he said, wondering now what she would wear, not that he was certain she wouldn't look beautiful in whatever she wore but still, he was a little curious.
