[GAME] Hide and Seek... Again! - Open!

On and on he wandered through the field of play, poking around here and there. The leopard paused and idly teased a strange looking item out from beneath a bush. Then it glinted in the sunlight. Had he actually found another token? It certainly looked that way!

The copper glimmer hadn't escaped her attention. Sayuri went over to the multi-colored male, a grin on her face. "Congratulations, you found one of the copper tokens! There's now only two left to find of that particular kind!" And still so many purple tokens... And the rest of the gold, AND the leopardess that was hiding... There was hope yet, though!

Desya raised his head to grin as the pink leopardess congratulated the colorful male on another find. Good for him! He'd felt bad for the other male who had searched so long and found nothing. Apparently there still were many to be found, though, not to mention the one who had instigated the game. Oddly, finding the tokens didn't bother him at all, but the idea of playing hide-and-seek with a grown leopardess seemed strange and uncomfortable to the dignified male. He would much rather find the other tokens than the leopardess. Perhaps the other male would get that 'lucky' find.

Just ahead, a darkness loomed. The vines and brush created a leafy cave, where no sunlight penetrated. Drawn by the cool shadows, Desya padded over and eased his way in, disturbing as little of the foliage as he could. "Hello?" he called softly into the green gloom. Hopefully noone was home!

Farraginis was actually feeling pretty good now! He'd found two tokens thus far and was no longer considering himself to be an utter failure at this game. So he continued browsing around.

Either his attention had gotten sharper of late, or there was another token lying right there! How wonderful!

The odd leafy passageway offered no rewards for his exploration, save that it led a ways. In dipped beneath the roots of several trees, a sort of ditch with thick brush arching over it. The gloom remained unpierced by direct sunlight, though a soft jade glow showed him the path beneath his paws. My my, this place was lovely! He followed it for some ways before popping back out again suddenly into the brilliant sunlight.

Squinting, he staggered a few paces and collapsed comfortably into a patch of flowers amidst sun-dried grass. The scent of drying grass was heady, , and he took a moment to let his dazzled eyes settle, savoring the scent of grass and flowers.

The leopard moved up into the very corner of the area they were to search. It was a remote chance, given strategies and the like, that anything would actually be hidden here. And, come to that, he couldn't find anything. Oh well. It would be a bit much for his luck to expect to find another token so soon!

Vaina decided to try a different area altogether. She found some high grass and started searching in it. She figured it would be a good place to hide, but after searching through it several times she had to admit defeat. Nothing was hidden in the grass, or if it had been someone else must have found it first.

The leopard turned around and headed for another area he hadn't checked. It occurred to him that no one, including himself, was looking in a logical fashion. They all went at random from one area to another, instead of checking first one spot, then the spot next to it, and so on.

That was probably why most of the places they checked didn't have anything in them. For all he knew, several of the regions next to places he'd gone might have the prizes.

She was starting to get tired of this, all the searching... The pink leopardess noticed Farraginis found another token, this time brown. She smiled as she went over to him again. "Congratulations! We now have just three brown tokens to go!"

She returned to her spot, collapsing and yawning. At that point, a pair of clay-brown paws appeared next to her, and she looked at them in surprise. "Oh! Sayen! What brings you out here this mor--" She paused, looking at what of the sky peeked through the canopy. "Afternoon?"

With the grace born of royalty, the striped leopardess offered her pink-hued friend a smile. "I came out to take your place! When Nava returned and went to sleep, I figured whoever was out here would need relief soon from watching the game! So, what are the stats so far?"

"Six purple tokens left, three brown, two copper, the silver have all been found, and there's still two gold tokens AND the leopardess to find." She let out a sigh, rising to her paws. "Good luck with them finding them all... I'm gonna go take a nap, this is exhausting!"

The clay-brown leopardess watched her friend leave, then took a seat. "Don't stop just because it's me, we're all leopards he-" She stopped when she spied the gecko, then chuckled. "Well, we're mostly leopards here!" This was going to be a long game, if they hadn't found too many of the tokens YET. She'd have to see about Sakura taking her place at some later point, too. He needed to learn to stay put more...

Farraginis barely took notice of yet another change of judges. He didn't blame them for getting bored or tired or just wanting to do something else for a while. For every token found, there were ten fruitless searches. Not to mention the utter lack of luck in finding the mysterious leopardess.

There was something about this place that made the dignified adult leopard feel cubbish again. Perhaps it was the fact that they were playing a game, which he hadn't done since time unremembered! Either way, from his bed of grasses and flowers, he decided a good roll was in order. With a low chuckle he threw himself sideways down a slight incline, then leapt to his feet at the bottom and bounded into the trees again, feeling very light-hearted.

The leopard continued poking around. So far this region was turning up nothing, but he wouldn't let that get him down! He'd found two or three tokens already, and he knew there were others still out there!

Jong had found a comfortable spot to watch everything. It was so comfortable that he had dozed off. He didn't know how long he slept but it must have been a long time because when he finally opened up his little gecko eyes, there was a new leopard watching the game. He let out a big yawn and looked around. There was nothing to find around him at the moment. It also seemed like no one had found the leopardess.

Perhaps over this way - he wasn't certain if he'd checked much in this area or not. Farraginis was simply going around picking spots at random to investigate. Perhaps he'd find something or, far more likely, just prolong the silliness that was the game.

How about... This tree? Vaina jumped up in another tree to see if she could find anything. It was a good tree to climb in, but she couldn't find anyone or anything in it. Searching the canopy was fun, and she enjoyed stretching her legs. She plopped down on a low branch and looked at the other players for a while. Hmmm... This was nice. The leopardess should have picked this spot if she had any sense, but now it was Vainas. At least until she felt like searching some more.

Desya paused, catching an unusual scent. He raised his head, nosing the air. His eyes were half-closed as he focused on the scent, with his whiskers spread to draw the scent close to his twitching nostrils. Yes, there was... something. What was that? He padded in a apparently random direction, head raised, eyes slitted, hardly looking where he was going. However, he deftly stepped over twining tree roots and detoured around a clump of bounders. Yes, something different... but what?

As it turned out, he'd found a patch of wild onions! He wasn't entirely sure if he liked the scent or not, and put his head down to examine them. In doing so, he caught a glint of something bright among the green. Why, was that... a token?!
