Leaving the Mountain (Venton x Yeti)

Setting:

Venton lead the way down the mountain. She took the path that she had taken up on her first journey. That trip had been an exciting one because that is where she meet her mate who was currently following behind her though she guessed it was a bit reluctantly. "Everything will be okay." She told him gently as they walked. Down below the mountain was a valley like area with a lake that seemed to have formed from all the snow. She knew there were other foxes roaming that area. Some she knew and some she didn't but she wasn't bothered by it though she kept an eye out for her mates sake.

Yeti followed his mate down the mountain. Mate… it was such a new word to him. He had always thought he was just going to be alone out on the mountain watching others. Sure there were others like him on different mountains in the pass, but it had been just him for the longest time. Then Venton had shown up and now here he was going down the mountain. It was a very new experience and he knew he was a bit scared about it. Then again he had promised for Venton. She hadn’t seen her family for a while and had stayed up in the mountains for him.
Now it was time for him to do something for her. Venton had warned she had a big family but he wanted to meet them, because she was worth it. He looked around noticing all the new stuff around that he hadn’t seen before. “Okay lead on Venton”

She turned and smiled at him and moved to give him a lick of the cheek before turning back to the path ahead. "Alrighty my dear," She said in a cheery voice as continued on. There were wild flowers popping up everywhere in the valley below the mountain as well as a lake. She lead the way, walking calmly as she went. She was going to wait by the lake for her family but it would be further away from the mountain so that she was meeting them half way.

He followed behind her still with a touch of caution about him, while he was fine being next to venton; he also knew that he was still quite shy to new experiences. However his curiosity was also starting to emerge and he looked around at the different wild flowers. When a plant grew up higher on the mountain it had to be used to extreme temperatures and thus not many plants graced the mountain side. It was nice to see something more than just snow. While it made yeti stand out horribly. He knew other ways of hiding that didn’t need him to be white for.
He looked at the various wildlife around the lake as well, knowing that the animals changed a bit as well. He wondered if this was what Venton used to see daily. It was quite fascinating. Of course he was trying not to think about all the new relatives that he would be meeting. It worried him, although he thought they were probably good foxes and venton had told him not to worry. However it had been habbit for so long he couldn’t really help but feel awkward.

They easily crossed the distance from the mountain side to the lake. The ground that the mountain sat on was a lot safer to travel. One didn't have to worry about falling or slipping to it sped up their travel. Venton was excited for it had been awhile since she had seen her family she had asked for only about half of her family to come though she wasn't sure who all would show up and who wouldn't because she did realize that everyone else had a life to. She took a seat next to the lakes edge and waited for Yeti to join her before layin her head on him and there they sat waiting for her chaotic family.


Rai was on the move. His foot falls sounding a bit loud scaring every critter with in a decent radius of him scattering. The male was positively annoyed and irritated but was on the journey for his sister. He rather be at home with his mate Rlly and sleeping. Since he meet her he had become more of a night fox so being up at this early of the morning made him grumpy and the sun shining like it was to him feel like it was personally teasing him and laughing at his state. He ran will elegance and power radiating off his body. He had been on the go for days now resting when need be but mostly on the move. This mountain was a ways from his southern fields that him and his mate roamed.

As the trees began to thin out he was able to catch glimpses of white and purple. Even though he wasn't close enough to exactly identify who it was he knew he was in the right place because white and purple were his families main colors and this sounded like the place Venton had talked about.
