Faint had been with them for a while so it shouldn't have been a surprise to Mug when she told him she was pregnant. Never the less it was, so here they are looking for the green foxbun who's not really a foxbun. When Sorr found out about the soon to come babies she'd told Mug and Faint about him - after much good-natured teasing of Mug about being a father. The problem is Sorr has no clue where to find the Stag, just that he'd been around. So they'd left the garden several days ago and have been looking ever since.
They've been walking in companionable silence for the past few hours, each with their own thoughts, when Mug speaks. "I wonder what they'll look like, if any will have my mom's traits?"fluorescein FB will pop into my next post.

Morning sickness did not make for a chatty Weak-Kneed. And now Mugwort was a polar opposite of what he had been when she first met him. Now he was the talkative one AND starting conversations. Unfortunately, what their brood looked like was the last thing on her mind. She just wanted to find that green foxbun. A tall order considering the swamp was ever so green and fertile right now. "Oh? I'm more curious where this green foxbun will be. And how will we know it's the right one? And not an edible foxbun?"

Before Mug can even consider her question a rustling can be heard in the nearby underbrush. Shortly after a small form emerges. Fish Bones studies the two, then hops over to them. Hello. he thinks to them.Hearing the sound, Mug comes closer to Faint, putting himself between the rustling and her. He smiles when he sees the small creature, and outright grins when he hears it's thoughts. "That's how." He says to Faint, giving her a nuzzle that turns into a gentle nudge. "Hello Honored One, my sister said we should find you. To seek a blessing." He says.

If she could she would do a dance of joy. They found the foxbun or maybe it was the other way around. He was the color of what she produced this morning. And because she had nothing nice to say, she kept quiet. She was nauseous and glad Mugwort was the one doing the talking. She just could not muster the reverence expected when presented with a swamp-touched. Pregnancy did not suit her, nor was she given the glowing pelt everyone gushed about. She was happy albeit a black cloud of crankiness and surliness. And so to be as inoffensive as possible, she stayed behind Mugwort and waited. And counted slowly the number of leaves near them. Just to soothe the dizziness some.

Mug wonders about Faint's seeming reluctance, then he remembers how Sorr was often out of sorts during her pregnancy. He decides to talk to his sister and mom later to see if there's a way to help, for now they have something to do. "We seek a blessing, please." He requests.Fish Bones hops over to Faint, giving her a look as he places a paw on her leg. May your children be in good health. he thinks to them. Giving Faint another look over he adds Ask your sister about herbs to sooth the stomach. He gives Faint's ankle a pat, then turns and vanish back into the foliage. It seems the Swamp-Touched male has read his mind, with that last bit. "Thank you, Sir! I'll remember to ask." He says to the fleeting form. "C'mon, Sorr wasn't as sick, I'm sure she's got something that can help." He says to Faint, turning to go back home. The whole way he mentally kicks himself for not thinking to ask sooner.

With a backward glance she thanks the little foxbun, willing her appreciation and gratitude to cross the distance. She follows Mugwort back to the crazy fray that's been her life. It's full of warmth and good cheer. Now if only her brood would simmer down and stop dancing on her internal organs.
