Theirs was an odd friendship. One built on begrudgingly given respect, one upmanship and an undeniable lust for carnage. Paint the roses red, indeed! The finest type of friendship if you asked her. She emerged from the bushes naturally with three hares neatly in a row in her mouth. Let's see what Lull brought! That sentiment was part bravado and interest. Hopefully something to compliment her lean meats. Lull was perhaps her only non-family ... companion of somesort. Bloody footprints littered the mud.

fluorescein Oh Lull. Just wait until you actually have your children. Then you'll REALLY get paranoid. /grin The roundness in her stomach was barely visible and yet her hunger was ravenous. In fact, while she usually frowned at competing against Doom when it came to hunting -- even she had to admit they were equal matched when it came to the outcome -- in this cycle of her pregnancy she had nearly pranced like a giddy filly at the thought. Thank the Motherfather she had locked her legs and only smiled in answer. As it was, she trotted back to the proposed meeting spot. In her mouth three slender duck necks were kept in place, while plump white feathered bodies were stained and streaked with blood. She was quite pleased; ducks could be so difficult to catch. Skittish and flighty. But she had managed it before and now, well she felt confident her haul would be better appreciated. The mares body slid through the foliage and her confidence tilted. Three rabbits. Glowing pink eyes narrowed. She lowered her head and dropped the dead ducks, "Three, of course," she sighed. Honestly sometimes she thought the Motherfather set things up like this on purpose.

anemosagkelos Mwahaha. Lull. Is she ready for her next breeding aka have you found her a suitable mate? And Windward's kind of overly excited right now Doom was in the process of mocking and greeting Lull when a new buck burst into their clearing. An unwelcome one at that especially since he was obviously from Stargarden's line. She was still a bit muffled that the stag thought she was an autumnal tree when they met at Ghost Thistle Mound for the emergence of the zikwa. Seriously, that stag brought the craziness in droves. This was their lunch meeting, not his. Doom was oddly territorial over food in that moment only because hares and duck were both lean, and she had the perfect rich and meaty mushrooms to go with them. It was an on the spot pairing she was proud of. Let her bask in her ******** glow dammit. Windward, for all his style and flair, was so happy to find a Mare and two at that. And furthermore, he got to finally meet a swamp-touched. And each had three kills, a fact he was sure would delight Triad. He turned to speak to her only to realize she was not behind him. Nor to his right or left. Hmmm.

fluorescein She's got a list of viable candidates; girl could be pregnant time and time again /evil grin In Threes had gotten mildly distracted in her roaming with Windward -- that watersnake really did look like it had three tails all curled up in a spot of sun and then her stomach had heaved ever so slightly, the watersnake probably hadn't appreciated such a horrid bath -- but she broke into the clearing not terribly long after him. The greenness had receded and she sent a mild glare at him, "You're far too happy about this, you know." Not to say she wasn't. She liked him. She liked kids -- she guessed anyway. But she could have done without the sickness that occasionally stole over her. But now that it was gone, her eyes trailed to the threes and her face lit. "Those must be for me," she grinned and stepped forward. Her father may have cowered at the two before her but he hadn't been pregnant and hungry. For her part, Lull stepped forward, fore legs shielding her kills from the newcomers and then she turned to Doom. "Everywhere I go, there's always one of these wanting a blessing," she grumbled. The Motherfather had quite left out the part about being a goddamn homing beacon for the knocked up.

"Oh for crying out loud" freaking Lull was the common denominator for all these blessing seekers. Never on her own did a kin approach her. But then she eyed the hair style favored by Wolf Parade on the pregnant kin. And she remembered the red buck that Wolf Parade decided to "hang out" with. And the blessing. Ah s**t, this was Wolf Parade's git, a further continuation of Look-See's line. Her eyes narrowed. And then they turned to Stargarden's line. Just her luck really. But there were only six carcasses before them. Six was not enough for 4 especially if half of the party were pregnant. She turned to the buck and instructed, "GO hunt for more." And because she's calmed down post Mare status, she didn't even have to raise her voice to be threatening. It was inherent to how she delivered in such a careless manner that promised retribution. Taking her three hares she beckoned for the red one to sit and placed the hares in front of her. She distributed some mushrooms to Lull and the red one. And waited. Hopefully the buck didn't dissapoint. Windward, looking between the Mares and Triad, was speechless, but dutiful. Too many hormones and a sadistic Mare made for a bad combo. Off he went, looking for food in threes. // Shortly later he came back with 1 boar, a papaya and three bushels of berries which he tugged on a giant leaf. Not exactly a traditonal trio but hunting was sparse. He looked at the three does, unsure of what to do.

fluorescein If they had a 'makes x' you could divide the ingredients by that. Urgh, sorry this took so long; took Koda for a walk, came in, decided to fix myself lunch, then ended up filling Koda's kongs (kibble and peanut butter -- almost makes me want to buy those squeeze cans of it), then discovered when I was putting them in the freezer that they ice container had overflowed, so cleaned that up and emptied it (Koda is having fun with the ice cubes in his bowl, lol) and now I can finally finish this reply and eat. /dead Does this reply even make sense -- like I think I'm confusing myself. Don't worry in the next one Triad will speak up about "the pink one" and all that. Doom was correct, the common denominator was the pink mare. One of these days she would have to become more menacing, let all that nicety of old die a quick efficient death. Not that it would do her any good now. A long suffering sigh left her -- if Doom hadn't instructed the buck to do so she would have called for her hound. Although she was pleasantly surprised when he returned with a boar; useful then. Triad had pranced forward and upon making sure her meal was appropriately numbered, her hoof touching before each one in silent counting, she had dug in with the relish of one expecting. The only thing she left were three feet -- she had developed a habit of giving Windward rabbit feet. "You can bless her," the mare spoke rather suddenly, a wicked gleam in her eye. "You did so well last time." It was clear she was teasing, as the two Legendaries often did. Yes their friendship was strange and unconventional.

anemosagkelos Not sure about kibbles but for PB you could get a ziploc and squeeze it in? But the pb has to be warmed a little. And no worries. I haven't left the house yet. We're supposed to go to china town, get free starbucks holiday drinks, and watch starbucks. It's 3 pm... We never quite made it to the japanese food truck sad Do you have a trader's joe where you live btw? What the ******** was she going to do with a papaya? she thought as she brought her heel down to crack it open. This was not protein although it was sweet. She helped herself to some boar, eyeing the red one and making sure she was eating. Doom was even checking to make sure Lull ate her fill. This was an odd progression. Even more peculiar was the red one's habits of counting feet of all things. Look-See's line might need some culling. But observations first. It's hard to take Lull seriously when she's stuffing her face in soft underbellies of duck so instead Doom asks the red one, "What's your name, doe of Wolf Parade?"

fluorescein Not near me, really. I considered that but I figured it'd be more work getting it into the ziploc bag and all that. XD "No," the doe cut in before Doom could speak, eyes swinging up to stare at both mares, "Father always said to pick the pink one." At this her eyes bore into Lull in Sunlight, and then she turned to the orange mare. "In Threes."...pick the pink one... Lull in Sunlight didn't know whether to laugh or sob. She wanted to believe it was because Doom's blessing had been seen as subpar but then that red buck had seemed terrified (of everything, honestly) and perhaps he just had not wanted his children to be flayed alive. Damn; she really was going to have to start terrifying kin. She let her gaze wander, from Doom to Windward to Triad. "This is all your fault," she leveled at Doom -- annoyance tinged the words as much as exasperation.

anemosagkelos Finally got to leave the house. Got my noodles but no starbucks and no hobbit. Apparently we're to watch hobbit tonight but I'm not a night person at all. Don't think this will bode well. Doom's put out she's not wanted. And kind of wtf. Cue rage at BH Well, wasn't In Threes just an annoying little s**t. Clearly she was too much of her father's daughter. Shame, as Wolf Parade was quite skilled of a hunter. She needed to have a talking to with Wolf Parade clearly. Phantom was much too pragmatic to ever mate with a buck such as Bitter Heartbeat. "By all means, Lull, you can bless them" she smiled all too sweetly. If Lull wanted to point blame it was really Wolf Parade's mate's fault. Perhaps it was time Wolf Parade's brood got a visit from their aunt and uncle.

fluorescein You should go to The Hobbit tomorrow at 2:00pm and then you can say you watched it with me, lol. Okay I was all for in the future BHxWP happening again if you wanted but now I'd want it just to spite Doom. Hi, my name is Ane and I like torturing kin. : D Apparently In Threes is the exactly opposite of her father, not scared of anything. Oops. At Doom's words, a fierce glower turned to maple syrup sweetness. She had spent years pretending to be a dainty fragile saccharine doe and, minus a few overly cautious and unmoving kin, had long perfected it. She turned her glowing eyes to the red doe and unihorn buck, "Your children will be healthy, intelligent, and," she drew out her breath, "will not quell under any threat by the one named Doom." An overly satisfied grin split her face and she turned to her friend, "And that, is how you do a blessing." The gauntlet, thrown down. From her place, In Threes frowned. Windward would have liked them to be imbued with magic she was sure. She, herself, was a bit more concerned, "That last part seems rather useless. She fetched me a meal, how scary can she be?" Clearly her father hadn't told her why she should choose the pink one. Turning her head to Windward, "You're not scared of her, are you?" and the firmness in her voice, the raised brow, suggested highly that there was only one answer to be given.

anemosagkelos Ahhh, I am scheduled to watch it at 1:15. Then somehow.. not sure how, plan for a dinner party at my friend's tomorrow. i called her to plan a menu but she doesn't know. Neither does she or her roommate cook. I like cooking but I also like trying other people's food which is why I like potlucks. The pressure is off to create good food. Instead you are cooking just so ppl have something to nibble on as they hang out. THe focus is more on hanging out and should there be good food, awesome. But for a dinner, that's the sole focus. It's why they're brought together. AHHHHH Good. Family should not be afraid of her. That's what aunts and uncles were for. "Since Lull's the resident blesser, I'll take my leave now." and with that Doom flew into the air and off in search of Wolf Parade and her mate. Bah, mate. Who knew how long that'd take. She wanted to be back in time to see even a heavier Lull. Windward was not a fan of Doom, and he definitely didn't warm up to her anymore once he saw her alternate form. A wasp. He paled. But it was just one of his adventures. He will take her own. OK. somehow. OK. OK. Just another adventure, he repeated his mantra in hopes of calming his renegade heart. "No, I'm not scared." he piped up. "And it's good we got our blessing. Less of a worry crocodiles will eat them. But why choose pink?" he asked the last, clearly not understanding why they should seek a blessing from a pregnant Mare.

fluorescein Oh well then not too long before me. That, urgh, I would be so bad at planning a dinner. I'd offer to bring dessert, lol. We can end this here or you can make one last post as Windward if you like. <3 The mare's eyes narrowed as Doom took off, in wasp form no less. One day she might have to sprout her own wings. "That one, Doom, scared your mate's father quite to shivers when he asked us for a blessing," Lull in Sunlight decided to shed light on the saying, then taking a lone duck that still had meat on it's bone, she turned and left. "Father always did need courage," In Threes murmured, thinking he'd have to push him to ask this pink mare about gaining some. Alone, she turned to Windward, "Does this make it tradition that we have to seek them out for blessings?"

anemosagkelos I thought of the bf making spaghetti and I would make galettes. Both are inexpensive (like less than $5 total) but time consuming, at least on my part. I hate making dough by hand. aljsf;askdfj. Also, I'm not sure if her oven works. It's quite an old, rickety house. He eyes where the Mares were before shaking off his discomfort and soothing Triad. "It doesn't matter anymore, we got the blessing we needed. Eat and rest up before we travel back."
