Ying lit up as Jing nodded his approval, and then politely crawled on Mmur's back, clinging to his neck so as to not fall off. It was rather unladylike, but she needed to see! From up on Mmur's shoulder, she could easily see Medea and other horsemen.
Suddenly her mount was moving and she looked around, rather alarmed. "Wh-Where are we-" Apparently their trip was short though, only galloping over to Zhi. "Ah, hello Zhi. This is ..." She realized she had no clue who she was riding. Her entire face went white with utter embarrassment.
Who was this horseman?

Xiu chose not to point out that she probably would have found a way to show up even if Alex had refused to let her accompany him. However, considering how the horsemen had made no attempt to close this place off to those outside of their clan and the initiates, she doubted that she would have had any trouble walking in.
She was pleased to see the zomboil brighten a little with Mei's arrival, and the baku offered the jiangshi a bright smile and a wave as she excused herself. Shortly after she went to speak to one of the horsemen, someone else moved up to take their place: a boil, and one who was vaguely familiar at that.
...Welp.
Her ears and tail immediately drooped, and the first thing she said to him was not a greeting, but a squeaked, "I'm so sorry". While she did not go on to expand on what she was sorry for, she was certain that he would understand.

The words to scold his elder sister to sit there more elegantly on the kind boil's back died off on Jing's tongue. She was always a willful one. The pointing finger battle came to a stop once he moved to turn away from the mirror image that was Zhi and try and give Ying the stern talking to.
The talk that never came. "Try and be more ladylike." was the only warning he gave her and pulled of his fluffy coat to wrap around her shoulders and shielding her from the unclean eyes of some of their guests.

But he tagged along behind the duo that tried to walk under his coat like some kind of two creatured human hiding in a coat. his skin was already starting to p***k and raise with the crisp air as he pulled out the warm gloves from the sidepocket of his loaned coat. "Interesting turnout, wouldn't you say, Sir Zhi?" he offered in greeting, giving the boil a small bow as formality dictated.
Damien could smell it, the scents of many halloweeners, traveling gin the same direction. It wafted in the breeze like a calling card that had his perplexed.
And curious.
Ever since the return from christmasland, the black fragments under his palms began to throb in odd intervals, when around other students, around interesting locations. Most of all when he saw the Baku, the things under his skin pulsed with an odd life whenever he glanced at her from afar, swearing to keep his distance from Xiu only brought more problems, more odd feelings than ever before.
The oddest of all was jealousy.
The feeling of power still wracked him at nights, the sense of strength, of fierceness, the absolute respect that came with holding another life in the palm of his hands. Oh he wanted more, the taste was merely not enough, nothing but a tease that made the boil lap at his maw in ravenous hunger.
He was sure that with the throws of students in that direction, that it could not be far. the power that he wanted to wield, to protect, to claim as his and his alone was nearby.
He wasnt aware of when he stopped following the tracks, too lost in thought with Melas and phos but after a moment of blinking, he found himself in the middle of the madness of the horsemen clan.
And bumping into the ribs of one Frost and company. "Oh, Hullo there." he greeted them, and gave Frost, Tybalt and Night a sniff and waved at the ghouls.

The kitsune had heard the summons, and per his usual style... he was late. Not late enough to be notable, but enough to where there seemed to be a crowd growing ever larger at the meeting place.
Notably, he made a point to look around and noticed that a lot of those present were not really horsemen or initiates, he guessed this was a open party. Oh well, the more the merrier.
Swishing his trio of tails he settled off somewhere to the side, curiously watching but keeping his mouth shut... for now. He was feeling a little off his game today, so for once the usually loud fox was keeping his quiet.

When Calder saw Christof slipping off, he was confused. He hadn't seen the Igor since Spirit Week and was curious to see what he was up to. He really needed to catch up on a few things regarding his best friend.
Tagging behind, he then saw him meet with Lizzy and Aymet, before seeing a lot more people. Horsemen, along with a good group from Amityville. Frowning, he didn't exactly approve of a big meeting, but he was curious and well - he liked parties.
Slipping behind the trio, he whispered as he poked his head in, not even giving a warning he had followed them and that he was just suddenly here. "What are we doing here?"

It was best they didn't tell Night they were here to listen in, and not for the reasons he was most likely here for, no. Much like Frost, she wanted to keep close tabs on the horsemen. "We'll be leaving in a bit." She answered with a lie and small smile. Tybalt only got a small shrug and a shake of her head. They could discuss her bad choices later. Glancing over at Gene, she gave the ghoul a light pat on the shoulder, growing more concerned for the ghoul.
She didn't notice the other boil approach until he bumped into the group. "Demi!" s**t--he was one of the students she went all insanity on, and she had yet to apologize to him for it. "Er, I'm sorry.. for what happened back at the Haunted House. I didn't intend to attack any of you." Not that, that made her feel any better about it.
Eyeing the ever growing group, it was safe to say that their plan to not draw attention had failed.
Sharra instantly felt rather ashamed of himself as Xiu wilted, as he, in truth, held nothing against the baku. In fact, as unplanned as this meeting had been, he was somewhat relieved for the opportunity, as guilty as she seemed to feel. "Hey...Xiu, right?"He pitched his voice down, his voice smooth and hopefully comforting. "It's fine. Not your fault, ok?. Forgiven." He put extra emphasis on the word, a faint smile on his lips. "Crazy things happen in these parts..."

Sophie was not impressed. Since returning from Christmasland she had been on edge, grumpy and plain miserable. All she wanted to do was hang out with her brother and friends and just forget she had ever worked a day in her life. So when the ghoul had found everyone - Alex, Mort, Bells, Xiu.. - gone she was.. Not very Sophie-like. It had taken her a while to figure out where they'd all gone off to - lots of questioning and listening out for rumors. When the ghoul had finally found out where and why they had gone, she was even more ticked off. She packed a bag filled with what she deemed essentials - her first aid kit, the candy canes she'd received as payment - though they were mostly in there because she'd forgotten to take them out - and a few warmer items of clothing. Just in case.
It didn't take her long to reach the lands of the horsemen - she followed a few students who seemed to be making their way there, too. Of course, Sophie kept herself hidden from them in case she wasn't allowed to go where Alex was. Permission wouldn't stop her, of course. She wasn't going to let her brother - and her friends - run off without telling her anything. They could be in danger for all she knew. Stepping out from the shadows, she spied Alex and stomped up to him, a half frown, half pout crossing her features.
"Alexander!" Oh dear. His full name. She meant business. She pointed an accusatory finger at him. "How could you leave me behind?" For the time being she completely ignored anyone else around her. They weren't in trouble.
"I don't care what you guys are up too honestly." Night gave a very knowing cat smile, those who knew him in the past could attest to his most carefree attitude. "Honestly, All I'm here for is too see what our horsemen are planning this time around." He waited a beat as he found himself surrounded by dogs.
In greetings to Damien though, he sniffed back and let his tail sway back and forth.
"Ah a whole pack of snooping pups. Fair warning to you guys though. If you plan to meddle, prepare to draw yourself deep within the Abyss. Nothing is ever simply...watched." He shrugged again and started to head off.
"See you pups around!" saluting them until he found the other of the little trio. Remi seemed to be playing wallflower now and well...Night wouldn't mind being around a famalier companion.
"Hey Fox." Night slid up to him and gestured to the group. "I haven't seen you around for a while?"

"We are friendsss, yesss!" Mahir cut in before Mengyao could object, answering Lan. At this point he had climbed up onto Mengyao's shoulders. The shadowy arms made many wild and completely indecipherable gestures as he spoke. "We have had many adventuresss together. That is how I know."
"Do you sssee that?" he asked Mengyao, and without bothering to explain, he leapt right off the tall horseman and trotted off toward a large gathering of students, scarf billowing behind him.
Frost, Gene, Mei, Damien, and Tybalt would each feel something like cold metal creep up onto their shoulders. It was a hand. A thin, shadowy hand. "Hello!"
The horseman owner of these absolutely too many hands had popped up in the center of the action. Mahir's bright yellow eyes took in their unique traits, dissecting them with his curious gaze and the shadowy arms that didn't seem to be in a hurry to get off of them. This girl was fragile like pottery! And several of them felt as light as air, were these real ghosts? His grin widened as he jumped to an immediate conclusion.
"I underssstand! You mussst be here to visit with the priessstesss for guidance. Yesss."

Ah, now that was a face he had not seen in a while. "Hey, Puss." Remi quipped back at the familiar face, a small grin quirking up the corner of his mouth. "Been around, but decided i needed to make a more...public appearance?"
Meaning he was probably being a lazy a**, and decided to get up off his butt for once.
Reaching out he strung a arm across the other boils shoulders, the grin never quite leaving his eyes. "Any new news about whats going on or are they letting us...mingle for a while?" Quieter he added. "Any idea why theres so...many of us?" Really it was a beat-around-the-bush way of asking why the hell there was so many 'normal' halloweens here. Unless there was a 'mass enroll' recently for the horsemen he did not know about. A bunch of the faces he knew.
Absently he fiddled with his orange crystal.

Shehk could recognize others who were gathering now, her lips tightening and trying to not make a face of distaste. Oh look, there were those who were simply assembling now when they had not dedicated their loyalties here. She clamped her hand around the topaz now, forcing herself to look away from the others and instead keeping her eyes transfixed towards the High Priestess.
She was unwell. There was one thing Gene almost always did that that was give ear scratches when he nudged her. Even if she was upset he’d usually get them, it just took a bit of puppy dog eyes. So To see her this upset, no ear scratches? Either he’d royally pissed her off, or something was wrong with her. A small whine in the back of his throat, Frost pulled away a bit, concern tightening his brow as he looked to one he regarded as his closest friend.
The concern was jolt by a sudden appearance of Damian, the boil getting a small gruff huff from him. “Damian.” Beta to the alpha, still ranked above him. A small tilt of his neck, his tail lowered just below Damian’s own. “I would say good to see you, but, with horsemen about, things are never very good.” It was the truth. “You don’t plan to join them I hope?”
And then Night. While he felt no ill will to the boil… At being called a pack of pups- “The kitten thinks that a pack of hounds can’t smell something rotten more like it.” Fur puffed out, making Frost appear slightly fluffier than usual. The puffed up fur got worse with the feeling of something touching him.
When Mahir appeared, Frost had reached maximum fur puffing. “Depends on where she plans on trying to guide us too.” There, a good, answer not answer.

As Alex offered a hand shake, AJ took it and shook firmly. The zomboil kept looking around, looked like finding someone.
"Meixiang....can I just call her Mei? I am not good at remember names. AJ asked for Xiu's permission when Xiu introduced her as the jiangshi ghoul suddenly left and disappeared in the crowd. The boil realized Xiu was a bit bothered by his question, the sweet baku frowned and crossed her arms. Maybe he shouldn't ask such a question. Anyway, he knew that Xiu was trying hard to answer.
As they exchanged eyesight, Alex continued to supplement Xiu's answer. "Oh thank you, I think I know more now." He winked.
Shortly, a boil appeared and greeted. "Hi, I am AJ, nice to meet you." AJ noted that the boil was a bit nervous. Was it the first time for him to join a secret party? When Xiu suddenly drooped her tail and ears and apologize to the new boil, AJ was a bit surprised. In his impression, the baku was always smiling. The boil's reply only gave clue that it was something to do between them. AJ felt the need to comfort Xiu, so he stroked the baku's head gently. "Are you okay, Xiu?" He tried to say with the softest voice he can.
He also noticed a kinda angry pigtail ghoul came towards their direction and complained to Alex. Another familiar face. "Heya, Sophie."
Night shrugged as he joined Remi';s side and nodded. "There's not a lot for us to pay attention to unless we're on lair task but..." He eye'd the students and non iniates before frowning.
"Not anything new but I can pick up from a certain and more obvious black dog that they are curious and like to snoop around." He grinned right back. It was funny how a fox and a cat's grin could be so offsetting and eerie. Especially when the two smiled next to each other.
Probably why they + Aymet had made such a good team.
"Not sure, Something happened in christmas town and that little dream baku...I think she got something or whatever." He shrugged, "Medea might call us together again for us to find something." He shifted under the Kitsune's weight.
"Looks like the horsemen noticed the students. Wonder if that means the horsemen are as filled in as we are."
