	Kucha was...hopeful. Hopeful that this new rogue wanting in would give him a challenge. A good fight. He didn't like when he had to waste his time on a fight that didn't give him a run for his kill. He observed the mostly-black lioness. She didn't LOOK weak...but looks could be deceiving. "So you think you've got fire inside you?" She fit the coloring needed, at least.

	It had been such a long journey bringing Windeleer to this day. A seemingly endless journey across the lands, and even moving under the cloak of night as she was accustomed hadn't completely spared her from the heat. The distance had been nothing to scoff at, nothing to take lightly. But her home hadn't been her home for a very long time, and her travels had culminated in this. In the sun beating down upon her back as she stood across from a member of the very pride she sought to join. And oh, he was quite handsome. Would have done well in her former home if he had the heart of a demon - and demons were tricky that way, never ones to follow tradition. The thought made her hum softly, and she tilted her head just enough to regard the dark male a bit more closely, pale eyes following his every movement before he finally spoke. *"I don't just think, Tirma'ath. I know,"* Winde purred, rolling her shoulders before settling into a low crouch. *"Now come and let me show you just how much fire* lurks inside me."**

	Kucha Roll 1: Bide Tirma'ath? The hell did that phrase mean? Well...at least she was confident. Now it was time to see if that confidence was well-placed, or if it was sheer arrogance. Wouldn't be the first time a would-be Firekin was an arrogant creature. When she settled into a crouch, he shifted his own stance, watching her for movement. "Well...show me than, instead of talking!" Time to see if she had that fire, or if her words were just hot air!

	Winde Roll 1: Miss "With pleasure!" Were Winde another lioness, she might have seen his choice not to attack first as an insult. Certainly there were those of her old home who would have thought it as such and taken it as a sign their opponent did not take them seriously. But she knew better than to make such assumptions about an opponent she hardly knew. These Firekin were not ones to underestimate their future members so blatantly, and if they were then this was certainly not the right place for her. Even so, it couldn't hurt her to test the waters a bit. If this duel was to be a long one, it wouldn't do to expend all her energy right at the beginning. She was careful to keep a close eye on the larger male as she made her first move, darting forward to swipe low at his paws. Her size could certainly prove an advantage if she was faster than him, but if she wasn't... Well, it certainly wouldn't be the first time she'd taken a good hit from someone much larger than herself.

	Kucha Roll 2: Hit Kucha dodged to one side when she swiped low at him, taking into account she would have gone after areas that would have been more easily reached with her smaller size. Seemed, so far, that she fought smart, though. He approved. Too many lions didn't use their heads. After dodging, he swiped at her side. Well...more of a push than a swipe, as he sought to knock her off balance.

	Winde Roll 2: Hit It seemed Winde's speed had betrayed her today - not only had she missed, but she was briefly sent tumbling by the shove the other lion gave to her shoulder. She hit the sand hard on the way down, kicking up a puff of it as she rolled with the blow and used the momentum to right herself. And with the cover of the cloud of sand she'd sent into the air, she circled towards the lion's unguarded flank, pressing herself low to the ground to keep her dark pelt as difficult to see as possible in her cover. When she was certain she was positioned correctly, she struck, lashing a paw out towards the other's flank and carefully keeping her claws sheathed.

	Kucha Roll 3: Hit Kucha coughed at the cloud of sand, shaking his head and closing his eyes to rely on sound and the way the sand moved for the moment. He felt the sand moving, but it moved too erratically to pinpoint where she was...And then she struck. He made a noise of surprise and moved to lash back out at her, eyes open once again.
