Sanjha took the lead as they walked in the forest covered land. She wasn't fond of this travel, as it seemed to lack any real purpose. However she knew they could go back to their home. They were banned from the tribe and anyways they needed to start a blank slate for their new life. She just wish they had a direction to travel in. Walking around, keeping her new brother safe wasn't something she enjoyed. Not that she didn't care for her brother, that wasn't the issue. It was more that she had no idea what she wanted to say to him. They hadn't been raised together and still barely knew each other. He had been a prince, she had been the daughter of two hunters new the outskirts of the tribe.

He was the son that was wanted, she was the daughter they had to get rid of. Really what could they talk about on a trip like this.

If they hadn't found each other their lives would have been so different, she thought. By now he would be the king and she would probably still be with her foster parents hunting. She felt a little guilty for taking away his life practically. Thanks to her he wouldn't be king, but a no body like her. She couldn't imagine what it must have been like to have the sudden change like that. Hopefully he would adjust to the change. If they were lucky they would find a new home where they could get to know each other properly. For now though they needed to keep traveling till they found somewhere safe.

“Just tell me if you need to rest.” Sanjha said in gruff voice. She kept him in the corner of her eyes. If something happened to him, she would never be able to forgive herself. Them finding each other would have been a waste if he got killed or hurt.

His steps felt heavy. He focused on that as they continued their aimless wandering, for he was afraid that if he did not, the world might just catch up and finish crumbling down around him. He looked to his sister, the last piece of his old life, and yet not. He would never blame her for what had happened. Ever. He was the one that was set on finding her after his mother told him of her existence with some of her last breaths. And thus also of his lack of lineage. This is where he had made his choice. He could have just continued on with life, securing his place upon the thrown. But his heart had called out to find her. He was sure his father could be made to understand.

Life and the Gods played cruel tricks.

Pahale felt lost. He had no clue what to do with his life. His skills lay with running a kingdom, and who would trust a stranger with those tasks. Yes, he knew how to hunt, but usually it was for sport. He had been taught to defend himself of course, but never to the level to do it professionally. Just to survive.

But as he thought about it, he realized that, if he was given a chance to do things differently, he would still choose to look for Sanjha. She was the last blood relative he now had, and though he did not know her well yet, he did love her. And he would do everything in his power not to loose her.

He looked back up when Sanjha spoke and nodded "I am fine at the moment, thank you. If you require rest speak up as well."

User Image Once a princess, she saw her life back then, feeble and oblivious. Although not entirely bad, in fact, she was the kind daughter of the Bosses of an extremely secretive yet fierce pride. But now ... she had become her mother. Fierce, and determined with plenty of care to build up strong allias with some of the more powerful beings in Africa. Successful in compilation of a rebellion, sometimes the fierce and respected leader needed a break.. One she needed for quite some time as her thoughts and moral changed from when she first was left to the roguelands.

The cheetah was that air of power yet humble in every gesture she made. Her walk, was stable, and precise without meaning to be. So natural in her own skin now that she had fulfilled some sort of enlightenment, especially when meeting and befriending Gods. But all this had come from life taring her down in by inch before she could make her way up to where she was today. That same latter, she aided all of her followers to climb to...

Her eyes laid upon a particularly odd looking couple in the distance. Though oblivious to what was to come of their personalities and background, likewise she opted to greet. Slowly crawling up of a fallen tree to and then call out from the forest's beauty.. The call served for two purposes, to call out in greeting, and to alert her fellow tree guards of a spotted presence, but today she didn't aim for that.. She aimed solely in hopes of aiding..

...Even strangers...

She wouldn't be tired until she knew they were safe. When Sanjha heard the call and stopped. She looked up in the trees and saw a cheetah. Her attention went to her brother. He was used to others, she was not. “Do we want to ignore her and keep going?” She asked him, making sure to keep an ear out for any odd noises. For all she knew, this could be an ambush. There were some creatures who would act kind, only to lure you into a trap.

“I don't feel safe.” She said quietly. Then again, this whole trip was nerve wracking. Every step forward was done with caution. They needed to find some place safe, where they both could call home. She knew the odds of finding such a place was low. But if Pahale was happy she would at least pretend to be comfortable so he wouldn't have to worry about her. She didn't like the thought of another worrying about her. The only one who needed to do that was herself.

He was startled out of his thoughts, thought he kept his face composed, as a call echoed through the dense trees around them. He followed his sister's stare and saw another cheetah up in the trees. He corrected his lax posture -telling himself off for letting it be that way at all- out of habit. It had been quite some time since the siblings had seen someone else, and Pahale was privately revealed. His skills were suited in this.

But he t'was not so wet behind the ears that he knew that were there was a call, there were others. Sanjha also felt the encroachment of unease, just as he knew she would.

When his sibling asked if they should make contact, Pahale paused. If the way this cheetah held herself was anything like what he knew... He whispered low in his sister's ear. "T'is never harmful to extend a hand in courtesy." He cast a look around the surrounding trees. "As long as one knows when to withdrawal it."

At her admission of insecurity, Pahale's own fear tickled at the back of his mind. He would not show it nor ever admit it, but he was scared. He briefly touched his tail to her's, for her comfort or his own he does not know.

Giving Sanjha one last side look, he stepped forward to greet the stranger. He bowed at an acceptable level for someone greeting one who's rank they did not know, before looking back up. "Hail and well met, my name is Pahale Halki, and this is my sister, Sanjha. If we trespass, I wish to offer my apologies. Neither I nor my sister are familiar with these parts and simply wish safe passage though."

"That is for the forest- not I to decide." She smiled and was just about to jump down when she heard a set of hooves. Her ears went up and then the calling of her other rebels and followers started to chime within the trees like song birds in alerting them of the danger.

Retorting upward in to the branch to see if she saw the enemy. Then she jumped out clear over the two cheetahs below then looked at them with urgency. "That call- means hogs are in the area. The only way to get away is in the trees. Wrangling them head to head isn't smart, and it's one way of the forest helping us- is to work together. Here." She tilted her head up and called out to her members and soon two appeared. One cheetah and one leopard. "They help you up. Go." As she seemed almost pushy to get them in to the trees until she heard a set of hooves stop. When she looked back... it seemed like a family had found them.

Ears went back.
"Found you." They spoke almost in uni-sine before they charged at them. "Ok go go!" Before Emi turned and charged head on to one of the hogs. Four seemed to find themselves here. And as soon as the one charging at Emi went for her, she went just as fast as he- and at the last second, jumped on it's back and bit at his tail and pulled. Causing him to fall straight to his rump. One of the other hogs reared back to help in the fight.

Emi knew how to deal with hogs now... but four. "I'll be right up!" She called out to her members... "Just get them to safety-" Which the followers were NOT taking nos for answers.

The comfort of her brother's tail allowed her to feel a bit more at peace. She watched the blue cheetah as her brother spoke, never moving off her. He was the talker she was the fighter. That's how it had to be.

“Danger.” She said, follow the other cheetahs lead. Her eyes went up to the trees where the leopard and cheetah were. “Pahale.. we need to get out of here.” Her voice was urgent as she watched the other cheetah go after the boar. Such a reckless act, yet so brave. Right now she couldn't afford to be a hero. She needed to make sure they stayed safe.

Why oh why did it feel as if bad luck was stalking them?

She quickly darted up into the tree where the leopard and cheetah were and allowed them to help her up. Right now she felt like she had no choice but to trust them. “Stay safe brother.” She said to him.

Sanjha watched the blue cheetah from the safety of the tree. “She shouldn't be fighting alone...” It was a split second decision that led her to jump down from the tree onto one of the boars, digging her claws into it, causing it to fall to the ground.

Pahale was about to reply to her when Sanjha spoke up. His ears swiveled towards the direction that both of the ladies were facing and then he too heard the hooves that were beating towards them. The mystery cheetah cleared up what was out there post haste. Hogs. He's seen what a group can do to the landscape at full charge- and that t'was not mentioning what they had done to the living beings caught in their path. He nodded in greeting to the leopard and cheetah that appeared.

His sister's urgent voice brought his eyes back to her in time for him to see the other female charge at the hogs. Pahale knew full well that his expertise did not lay in battle- but he thought the move either quite brave or quite unintelligent. Still he followed the cheetah's orders. He had too it seemed to get him and his sister out of this alive. He made sure that Sanjah made it up the tree where the other cheetah's companions were perched before he lunged for the lowest branch himself.

His paws had been hurting for a while. He hadn't told Sanjah to deter the worry that seemed to be growing in the both of them day by day as they traveled and found nothing. But now that hurt almost made him fall from the branch. His claws and a desperate (unflattering and embarrassing) scramble saved him from falling back into what was swiftly becoming a battle arena.
He had barely calmed the thunderous staccato his heart had become after the near drop in time to hear his sister's words. He had hardly sucked in breath to speak words as Sanjha launched herself onto a hog below, clawing into it and bring it to the ground. Pahale could hardly hear anything over the roar of his pulse in his ears and the world seemed to crush in around him. "S-sanjha!" he stuttered out in panic.
