Kafele and Mihkokwan~ First meeting.

Mihkokwan hadn't been wandering very long, but it was incredibly hot today and despite her usual cheer, she was growing slightly wary. It had been a couple days since she had last ran into anyone, but she knew that she was still close to the pridelands that belonged to Gunju's pride. She didn't intend to linger, it was just that the rust-colored lioness hadn't felt particularly inclined to move far, or fast right now. Mihko at least knew she was far enough away from the borders not to arise any suspicion, and that was good enough for her. She hadn't actually /seen/ the border when she had met Gunju, but she was smart enough to figure out a reasonable distance. Her bright blue eyes turned toward the sky, and her gaze rested upon a bird, circling high in the air above her. There wasn't a cloud in sight, and the brightness of the sun forced her to look away. a large, toothy grin spread across her features, Mihko liked watching flying creatures. They always gave her such joy and delight in observing their antics. The young muscular lioness flicked her tail and padded onward, not too sure of where exactly she was going. It didn't matter much to a wanderer without a home, however, and she simply smiled and glanced about.

Things were rough in Kafele's life lately. He felt tension in his family, and a few of the members had gone missing. Things were just.. bad. He wanted that warm feeling he had before all of the problems. But that didn't stop the romantic from hoping to find his own love story some day. And he was a romantic, though it conflicted with his logical mind almost every time. It was hard, to see things for how they were, but to long for something that was instinct in his heart.

He had stretched out on the warm rock, sunbathing as the sand around him was heated by the sun. It was hot, almost unbearably, lately. But he couldn't help but to sunbathe. However he was usually caught belly side up. It always felt better, than letting the heat be soaked into his ebony fur.

Tail flicking back and forth, he smiled to himself. His eyes squeezed shut, though he wasn't snoozing. Life felt..good away from the drama for a bit.

Suddenly a huge butterfly flew right over Mihko's head, and she squealed with excited delight at it. It had been a while since the orange-furred female had had anything to chase, and she always delighted in following these intricate little creatures on their journey. She almost always lost them to the sky, but it wasn't as if the silly young lioness would know what to do with a butterfly if she caught it. And Mihko had never eaten a bird, partially because she didn't hunt well at all, but also because she found them pretty and didn't see why other creatures would even bother...

She pranced along, watching the butterfly just above and in front of her, it's transluscent wings fluttering, the colors seemingly morphing as they moved under the sunlight. Well, observing other creatures and being observant were two totally different things, and Mihko reminded herself of this well all the time. She however ceased to remember it...ever. Bright blue eyes focused on her little fluttering friend, she hadn't even noticed at all that she was gaining distance on another of her own species, sunbathing on a large rock. the butterfly raced off and Mihko frowned for a half-moment, before grinning again and reclining to her haunches to watch it's ascent. She was a simple girl, and things as such delighted her enough to last a life-time. As the young lioness took another glance around, this time she noticed the other lion, a contrast of bright white and black fur. She perked her ears and tilted her head curiously, and for a moment debated going over.

Mihko didn't realise that she was down wind from him at the time, and she watched him for a moment, watching his breath heave his chest. It didn't seem right to bother someone when they were sleeping, especially what could be considered as sneaking up on them- but she still couldn't tell if he was sleeping or not. She giggled and continued to observe, wiggling in place excitedly. This was almost like playing some sort of game. Except she didn't want to surprise him. You never know when you're out here alone...

Kafele wasn't much of a solitary lion. In fact he was far from it in the grand scheme of things. It was rare when he wanted to be away from his family. But when he did, he could end up spending the entire day away from his den. Though it was usually when he was upset. Today though? He was far from upset. He was downright happy at just being alive on such a lovely day.

Though his serenity was quelled when he heard a soft giggle hit his ears. It was soft, since she really wasn't particularly close. But he heard it just the same. One eye popped open, then the other, until both ruby orbs were staring straight at the lioness. She was a lovely girl, that was sure. He found himself unable to stop staring, though he found such a thing incredibly rude.

"Was I amusing?" He asked with a smile, as he rolled over onto his belly. He was not a small lion, and his frame almost dwarfed the boulder on which he lay.

Mihko's eyes widened as he turned and stared at her. She smiled, but her overall expression for a moment was surprise. Considering how just a moment ago, the rust-colored lioness hadn't even been sure if this male was awake or not. She felt her cheeks turning hot as her bright blue eyes met his own bright eyes, and she flicked her ears and giggled again. "Hello!" She called cheerily, wiggling in place as she watched him roll over, He was a fairly larger specimen than herself, but she had seen bigger. 'Powerful...' was likely a good word to describe the way he looked, she thought to herself. Though, Mihko was a fairly muscular lioness herself. She had spent a long time wandering, and it had strengthened her over the years into a lean young adult.
The lioness lifted herself from her seated position and padded softly toward the two-toned male. Now that she was closer, and examining him a little more, she realized with delight that he had near the same markings as herself. "Well, isn't that an interesting treat!" Mihko delighted out loud, bright blue eyes lighting up as she spoke, "I've never met another creature before that has almost the same markings." She continued, grinning stupidly and padding in a small circle around him, admiring the start contrast of his markings.
The thought that walking right up to someone and examining them with such delight might be irritating or unwelcome gesture to some didn't really cross Mihko's mind. Although he had called to her first, and he seemed rather nice. "I was just trying to figure if you were sleepin' or not." The young, muscular lioness chuckled, stopping when she came around to his front again and looking up at him on the large rock.

He watched her come closer once she called her own greeting. He watched her movements, since he firmly believed that the way someone moved help say something about their character. He could tell by the way she moved, she was a good lioness, and he felt the desire to know her once he had made that conclusion. He was a friendly, social male. Friends were just part of his package.
"That must mean we are both part of a very special club." He chuckled, and looked at his own pelt. He hadnt really noticed the similarities until she had pointed them out. Though now he found it amusing.
"No worries," He said, stretching out his paws and lifting himself from his position. He stepped down from the rock, and smiled at her.
"I don't get irritated easily, so I wouldn't have been upset had you woken me. But you didn't, so rest at ease." He smiled, and his tail hitting his back legs curiously.

Mihko was taken by the smiles this lion was offering. He was a handsome male, and it really wasn't often that the young lioness thought such things of other creatures. Except for birds and butterflies of course. They were all beautiful...She giggled at him as he also commented about their markings. "I don't think I'd be good at being in a club..." She said shyly, wiggling her toes. Having been alone all her life, Mihko never necessarily felt like she would fit into anything, a family, a pride...a club. She shrugged a little and watched as he rose from the rock and stepped closer.
"Well that's nice! I am the same way, I don't like to be mad or to make others mad." The rust-colored lioness said, blinking at him and grinning. Her tail flicked behind her as she watched him. She had been making an increasing amount of friends lately, and in her own mind, Mihko was starting to get good at being able to tell who would be a good friend or not. This male seemed like he would be a nice friend, she had feelings toward him that were good, and made her feel warm- something about him just seemed special.
Mihko had only had that feeling for Mneme when they had first met, and they were friends. She had in her mind that this was the same 'friend' feeling, and it made her excited. The muscular female wiggled in place and glanced about for a moment, checking their surroundings. "Do you live out here...?" Mihko had thought for a moment about that before speaking, and she turned her bright blue eyes back to him, tilting her head a little to accompany the question.
