Drew Greene jumped out of his brothers pick up a block away from the school. Even his own brother didn't want to be seen with him, said it would be social suicide. Drew hooked his thumbs on the straps of his backpack letting out a sigh. Watching his breath float into the air he shivered slightly, gosh it was cold. He breathed on his hands and rubbed them together entering the school. Looking around he smiled and walked up to his small group of friends Cameron, Evan and Bryn. They are the group no one would be seen with, the ones that didn't care what others thought. They were all standing around Bryn's locker just talking about how the weekend had been. "Finding Nemo was pretty amazing in 3D." Bryn said right before some jock knocked into her causing all of her things to go every where. The three boys glared at the group of football players. "Aren't you going to pick that up?" Drew called after them as Bryn knelt down gathering the papers. She looked up, "Oh no its fine." But it was to late Drew was already pinned agains a locker glaring up at the jerk not backing down.
Jackie strolled down the hall, it was her kingdom. The only place where she was queen. She looked around at her people. this is the life she thought, as one of her "minions" handed her a caramel latte. She continued walking and saw the football players beating on some nerds. She groaned, but she knew what she had to do. She handed her latte to a random student and walked up to the quarterback. "hey Jeff." she said, batting her eyes flirtatiously. She stood inbetween Jeff and Drew. "can you help me carry my books to my first class." she asked, looking up at him, her blue eyes shining, she rested her hand on his shoulder and bit her lip. The jock nodded and Jacqueline took her hand away. "great!" she said, clapping her hands together. She turned and smiled at the nerds and walked away, the football team chasing after her.

Drew watched as Jacqueline walked over to him. Not once had he ever spoken to her, well maybe once in 1st grade before she discovered what popular was. Bryn glared at the girl, they had been friends when they were little, but was left because she wasn't cool enough. Cameron had to almost catch Drew as he was let go, "Dude you cool?" Drew nodded watching as Jacqueline led the team away, thankful for what she had done. He didn't want to have to go home with another black eye having to explain how it got there. Adjusting his backpack strap he heard the bell ring, "See you guys at lunch." They all said their goodbyes, not having any morning classes together.
having the entire football team escort her to class was a part of being popular that Jackie loved. "thanks boys." she said, blowing them a kiss before they left. Jacqueline felt powerful. Like nothing could stop her. She sat down in her seat and played with a strand of her long blonde hair, daydreaming.
