Reguarding traitor Captains:
Tousen is dead… He can become a playable character, if Someone applies to play him and comes up with some reason why he lives

Aizen Is alive and sealed away, he is currently unplayable... only time will tell if he remains bound forever .

GinGin's life was secretly preserved by a forbidden kido. Over time in dormancy his life has been fully returned thanks to the youngest Star Child, Rin (OC) The process of being broght back has caused Gin total memory loss.
Due to crimes against the Seireitei, if Gin is to be discovered he'd likely be arrested and executed. Rin has caused Gin to believe that his name is Seiziro Akai, and that he is an ordinary resident of Rukongai. Soul Reapers are wary of him, but have no proof that he really is Gin... However now 'Seiziro' is starting to regain his memories as Gin

Gin is a playable character! and his presence is much needed in the plot of this RP Do PM me if you are interested!

Other Dead Cannons: I will allow other characters who have died to be playable, If they are not on the roster of playable chars, just submit a post sample and a reason why they are now alive (or how they managed to escape death before)

Star-Soul Information


----Personal Information----

Name(s): Sutatamashii, Hoshiko(n), Star-Souls
Age: Star-Souls have existed for roughly 500 years
Nationality: The majority have originated in the Eastern parts of the Spirit World (such as Soul Society), However they have been born in various other regions including the west (Styx)


---Relationships----

Sutatamashii are generally very social creatures, they build strong bonds with their families, and should they be cast out of their family or by other means find themselves lacking kin they create tight kinsmanship-like bonds among friends recreating a family-like structure. Granted their social nature defines their need/desire to group, it by no means implies that all of them have good social skills.


----Appearance----

Star-Souls don't really look any different than any other soul. Generally Star-Souls look anywhere between Average, fit, and Toned or Muscular. Due to their body's ability to convert calories and fat to pure reishi it is rare to find a 'fat' star-soul. On the rare occasion that a star-soul is over weight it is usually due to said individual purposely storing fat to later convert into energy as a reserve for dire moments.

Distinguishing features:

--Sutatamashii don't usually bare a specific mark identifying themselves as star-souls. However many if not all bare seals, and stabilizers which can be in various forms. Some are invisible while others may show in the form of jewelry, accessories, trinkets, and/or Tattoos.

--A non-visual feature that sets Star-Souls apart from shinigami is their 'three-fold' energy. They posses an exact copy of the energy of both parents as well as their own unique energy. Their personal energy contains a certain power that allows some degree of creation as well as the ability to absorb and convert energies Those who know how can in a sense 'blend' their energies in order to hide their three-fold signature and pass off as a normal soul/shinigami

--Another trait unique to Hoshikon is their ability to 'amplify' the power of those who share close blood relation whether they be star-soul or not (ie parents or siblings)

--Also unlike shinigami who can only receive power transformations through the release of their Zanpaktō, though Hoshikon are capable of this they are also capable of having similar power leaps of their own power without the aid of their Zanpaktō by way of Quickening and/or Awakening


----Personality----


General Overview
--There are Four primary 'TYPES' of Star-Souls, the Aggressor, the Defender, the Extreme Aggressor, and the High Defender. Any of the four types can show traits of another type since each type is a generalization and each individual's persona can grow past the typical psychology of his or her type.

Children and Youths
-- Younglings aren't always easy to identify as which type they are, as they have yet to develop their sense of self. Typically star-soul children aren't all that different from normal children, they tend to be naïve and very trusting. Once trust is lost it isn't that hard to regain as young star-souls are generally forgiving. Sutatamashii children bond with others very quickly and can easily become clingy to the point of idolizing their loved ones. Sutatamashii younglings have also been known to display traits of extreme curiosity and are likely to wander or explore freely if not kept under close supervision.

Aggressors (Meteors)
-- Aggressors are driven to act for their own sake, their power is most potent when fighting for their own agenda, be it self defense or out of rage. An aggressor can defend others, but usually this act is done for their own sake rather than for the sake of the one they may protect (reasons such as protecting their reputation or they may believe their life would be altered in an unfavorable manner should a certain individual get killed) Aggressors tend to bring forth their quickening or Awakening out of the need to preserve their own life or their way of life

Defenders (Falling Stars)
--A Defender's power is driven firstly to protect loved ones and secondly self preservation. Defenders strongly care about the state and well being of those they cherish above themselves. Rage tends to come with their quickening or awakening but it is a rage birthed out of the idea of harm coming to loved ones

Extreme Aggressor (Devil)
-- Like Aggressor, an Extreme Aggressor is driven by his own motives. Extreme Aggressors are fairly rare. Typically they have grown up with a violent temper and power outburst, having had such an issue early on Extreme Aggressors generally learn to control their powers as well as their tempers sooner than most. They also are faster at learning to control their quickening and move on to their awakening faster than the norm. Devil type star-souls tend to be more ruthless than the rest, they come with a more sadistic nature than any others of their kind and their upbringing usually eludes to them being more powerful than a typical Defender or Aggressor.

High Defender (Angel)
--High Defenders are driven to protect others, whether they have a friendly connection or not. 'Angels' have a great deal of empathy for others as well as an incredibly high respect for life, they are likely the most soft hearted of their kind (whether they choose to show it or not). The High Defender like the Extreme Aggressor is rare, they tend to have a well spring of untapped potential. Generally the Angel can hardly bare taking a life, though that doesn't mean he or she won't if it's necessary. The high defender generally specializes in defensive combat and in some cases medical skill. Their quickening is set off the sight of one (who is not an enemy) in desperate need of mercy and help. Though High Defenders likely have an incredibly strong Awakening it is difficult for one to willfully tap into it


Major quirks
- Star-souls have three distinct reiatsus within them.... one identical to each parent and one that is distinctly their own

~Star-Souls coexist in the spiritual and natural plane. Meaning they have no actual need of Gigais, their bodies will take physical form on its own, provided the star-soul desires to manifest in the human world

-Star-Souls generally speaking are very powerful, however for every great power there must be equal or greater flaws! All have a major weakness; they are too powerful to not have one.

~Star-Souls all have a ‘Quickening’ meaning there is some specific action that makes them tick. A certain action said or done to them or even someone around them that causes the Star-Soul a strong impulse to kill or inflict harm the individual who has committed said action the quickening is a half-step to their Awakening.

-Quickening is tiring. Whether the Star Soul succeeds at killing their target or not the Kill Signal will fade and the Star-Soul will be exhausted.

~The Awakening is similar to the Quickening, it puts forth an extreme release of power and in some cases brings forth a power-based transformation. What sets the Awakening apart from the quickening is that the user has full control of him or herself and willfully chose to Awaken.

-The quickening and awakening tend to come with slight alteration to persona such as high levels of confidence and boldness, and in some cases sadism.

~Like anyone else, the more powerful the technique the bigger toll it takes on the one using it

-Bescause they are so strong Star-Souls all have seals and/or stabilizers to conceal their spirit pressure. Having more seals does not entirely mean the star-soul is all so mighty. Those with greater amounts in Spiritual pressure are lacking the physical strength needed for their bodies to contain or control their power without needing the help of seals, whereas those who have a greater deal of physical strength need fewer seals their bodies are strong enough without the help of seals


----Abilities----

All star-souls have their own unique abilities, but there are some abilities that are common among them.

-Youths have the ability to absorb great amounts of energy, Adults can absorb energy but not at the same rate as children

-All star-souls can convert calories into reiatsu // some star-souls can draw energy from inanimate objects

-Star-souls have the ability to 'amplify' the power of those who share close blood relation whether they be star-soul or not (ie parents or siblings)

-All star-souls possess the ability to learn kido techniques as well as creating their

----Class----

The class of a star-soul is determined by the balance between their amount of power and the ability to control that power with or without the aid of seals and stabilizers.

A seal binds their power only allowing use of a certain amount, and a stabilizer keeps it, well stable, it aids with control. Star-souls can own more seals and stabilizers than they actually need as a form of convenience.


Class 1
This group ranges from NEEDING 0-3 seals, Possessing 3-5 stabilizers and control over 0 seals
These Hoshikon are easily mistaken for average souls and shinigami. There are some with not enough strength to require seals, and some strong enough to need a few and unable to control any seals. All of Class 1 requires stabilizers to help control their power

Class 2
This group ranges from OWNING 0-3 seals, Possessing 1 or 2 stabilizers and control over all three seals
Strength wise Class 2 hardly differs from Class 1 however Class Two has the advantage of control on their side often using stabilizers as just a help meet not actually being in need of the seals they own.

Class 3
This group ranges from those NEEDING 4-6 seals being able to control 3 of those seals Class three may own stabilizers but their strength alon puts them ahead of 1 and 2

Just about all Classes after 3 own stabilizers by choice

Class 4
This group ranges from those OWNING 4-6 seals being able to control 4-6 of those seals, again control makes all the difference

Class 5
This group ranges from those OWNING/NEEDING 7-9 seals being able to control 2 or 3 of their seals. Class 5 is low on control but high in power
Due to keeping mush of their power sealed this class can easily blend with ranked shinigami

Class 6
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 7-9 seals and can control 4-6 seals

Class 7
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 7-9 seals and can control 6-8 seals

Class 8
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 8-10 seals and can control 5-7 seals

Class 9
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 8-10 seals and can control 7-9 seals This class is on par with high ranking shinigami 4th seat - Lieutenant

Class 10
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 9-11 seals and can control 10 seals

Classes 11 - 15 are those who are closely matched or higher in strength compared to captain level shinigami.

Class 11
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 10-13 seals and can control 5-8 seals


Class 12
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 10-13 seals and can control 6-10 seals

Class 13
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 10-13 seals and can control all 13 seals

Class 14
This group ranges from those NEEDING/OWNING 11-15 seals and can control 10-14 seals

Class Elite (or 15)
This class ranges those whose power has yet to be accurately measured, however they have more raw power and control than a class 14.

----Weaknesses----

-- Each individual has their own 'Kryptonite' so-to-speak. Meaning there is something that renders them weak like an allergy of sorts. Each individual has their own specific weakness

-- Recovery period: For each battle the power used builds up over time and the star-soul's body needs to recover. this period of recovery is different for each individual, it could pass quickly like a day or so, or it could take several days. For some this period is a time of weakness where one would simply be unfit for battle, for others they show symptoms of terrible illness

-- Attacks that disturb their threefold energy reduces their reiatsu attacks by half their normal affect (non-starsouls this is an opportunity for you to create new Kido and when you do, please share so the new technique can be listed)


----History----

They began to appear just shy of a century after the detonation of the Sutasoken. Most of them were the children of protégées, often thought to be protégées themselves. For a while they were considered the prized future until it came to light that these were not shinigami, but the result of shinigami evolution which had been accelerated by the Sutasoken. And suddenly the prized future became labeled as an abomination. Central 46 and those under their thumb worked hard to erase this new breed and suppress the people's knowledge of them. Those who were of age quickly learned to defend themselves and go into hiding whereas the young who were slowly being birthed into the spirit world were being slain before they could learn how to defend themselves.
Over time those who survived the years began to gather, they began to seek out others like themselves. Their first priority was to survive and the second to teach the young the ways of battle in hopes of someday taking a stand.
The west became home, the territory of Styx and other western lands seemed far from the reach of Central. But no place was safe! Central's agents even sought them in the west causing animosity to slowly build in the western regions due to the east's alleged offenses.

Distractions within the Seireitei's politics were often what gave the star-souls a break and opportunity to seek out and recruit more of their kind within common population who have yet to be discovered by their enemies.

New Transformations

So we have our general transformations such as Shikai and Bankai
I will only allow a second Bankai (like what has occurred in the latest arch) to Captains!!!

As the story progresses Ienkai will become availible to RPers

Ienkai will only be permitted for characters who are known to be advanced
Also, I don't care how awesome your char is, if you are not active, your char being OC or Cannon will not be eligible for Ienkai.

What is Ienkai?

Ien translates to further Kai translates to release
So to put it plain its a further step than Bankai.

Ienkai is formed when a Shinigami and Zanpaktou unify their will, goal, mind and soul, the strength of the Shinigami resonates within the Zanpaktou and just the same the Zanpaktou resonates it's strength in it's shinigami. The result is a new release of power and an extension of ability.

*Keep an eye on this as the story continues, there may be newer levels for Shinigami as well as Arrancar depending on where our story leads us

We will be adding a new 'Group' to the Role play

Ferrymen: They are the equivalent to shinigami, just from the western part of the world. Many of them descendants from the traditional imagery of Soul Reapers.

Just as the Shinigami are of Soul Society, Ferrymen are from Styx.
In Spirit world Soul Society is the territory of the Orient. Styx on the other hand is the Territory of the Mediterranean.

Ferrymen use a Death Scythe, their equivalent to a Zanpaktou.
The Primary difference between a Zanpaktou and a Death Scythe is that a Death Scythe is more sturdy yet has fewer signature attacks, and it can choose to allow a reaper other than it's master to wield it.

There will be a few slots for Ferrymen since Styx and Soul Society won't be in much communication this Arch.
Next Arch I will make more preparations for Ferrymen, things will get interesting~

Ferrrymen Abilities

River Gate— Gates of silver and stone, with platinum skulls at the outer corners open revealing a tunnel ofblack and red, and a river path of crystal clear waters. A boat sits to take passengers from point A to point B.
The River Gate is the Ferrymen’s version of a Senkaimon. It can take Ferrymen from Styx to the human world or from Styx to other regions of the Spirit world like Soul Society/The Seireitei

Reaping— A reaping is another form or aspect a ferryman’s death scythe can take on, each reaping is equal in power to the first, it simply carries a different approach. Gaining a reaping signifies the level of connection between a ferryman and his scythe as well as a level of mastery but not a level of power.
It is possible for a ferryman to utilize more than one reaping at a time; however this level of power expires quickly. To use more than on Reaping and sustain it would require power equivalent to a shinigami captain.

Fantasma lotto/lotta –the ferrymen’s equivalent to kido.

8. Sentiero ‘Path’ – The caster’s hands and feet mark the target. Blue light shines from each place the caster has stepped and everything his/her hands have touched showing blue foot prints and hand prints. It is as though everything touched had a bomb attached to it, his/her path explodes in rays of blue reishi, and every place where his paths made a complete loop, that entire area was consumed by beams of spirit energy.
