((Setting, though perhaps not as many large trees so close to the building))
Leon surveyed the dilapidated building before him. Once a place where humans built toys for their littles to play with, it had been abandoned for many years. The red bricks were either crumbling or hidden behind a mass of climbing ivy. Tall grasses, even bushes and small trees, clustered around the base and further eroded the man-made structure. Badly-rusted metal stacks stuck up from the roof; one had even completely toppled over, its bottle rusted away until it could no longer support its own weight. The glass in the few windows the building sported had long since broken, leaving nothing but the frames and the occasional jagged piece still wedged in. If the inside looked anything like the outside this was going to prove to be once interesting experience!
Leon had been looking for an abandoned human-dwelling for some time. His friend, Seras, was convinced that she and her twin brother were cursed. A Halloween-born fox himself, Leon wasn’t a huge believer in curses or jinxes. Bad things were always going to happen at some point in a person’s lifetime, that didn’t make them cursed! He was determined to prove that there was no such thing, that it was all in Seras’ head.
On that note perhaps the look of the building he’d chosen to prove that in was a bit…well, overly dramatic, but it was difficult to find old human dwellings that they themselves didn’t tear down when they left.
All he needed now was Seras herself. Leon scanned the forest, frowning slightly. He was sure she was near, she hadn’t been that far away when Leon asked her to meet him here; he’d flown ahead to make sure the building was truly abandoned. Perhaps he should fly up and scan the forest? He resolved to give Seras another five minutes.

Leon followed a few steps behind Seras, looking around every which way as they cautiously entered the building.
Nature had started to reclaim the inside of the building as well. Vines wiggled in through every crack in the wall, spreading out from the open windows and giving the light a greenish tinge. The opening they'd come in from had tall grass crowding the ground as though trying to reach into the building. Chirrups and the soft sound of wing flutters indicated wildlife had already begun to move it. Really, if it wasn't for the mass of metal and all the odds and ends lying around, this place might have seemed like a large, strangely regular cave.
They were in a vast, open room. Leon could see metal walkways above their head and doors set into two of the walls. He paused and looked down at his feet, lightly batting at a loose bit of rubble. "Amazing this place is still standing."
((Just to spice things up a bit...)) ((1. They walk bit further into the building. Suddenly, a door on the ground floor seems to open on its own.)) ((2. They hear scampering sounds in the catwalk like something running across it, but when they look there's nothing there.)) ((3. There's a loud banging sound. Origin unknown, they investigate.))

Leon frowned and looked up at the catwalk as well, but saw nothing. Whatever it was had sounded bigger than a squirrel, but smaller than racoon; maybe closer to the racoon than the squirrel. It wasn't so much that he couldn't see what had made the noise that bothered him. After all, any animals would flee from two large predators and attempt to hide. Nope, bothered him was the fact that the sound only seemed to go halfway across the walk, and if the creature had stopped they should have been able to see it...
"Let me check," Leon said, spreading his wings. He gave two flaps, wind wiping around around, then with a third, powerful flap made it into the air. In seconds he was level with the railing, carefully landing on it, frown deepening when he saw nothing but a few chunks of rock fallen from the ceiling. "How odd," he said, half to himself.

"Nothing," Leon called back, his puzzlement creeping through in the tone of his voice. He kept looking up and down the catwalk, as though source of the sound would appear. Of course, nothing happened. "Mabye a cold draft hit it and made the metal contract," he said doubtfully, trying to come up with a possible solution for what he and Seras had heard. He looked down at Seras to see her reaction to his suggestion.
((1. There comes a loud banging sound from behind one of the closed doors, as though somthing heavy has fallen over.)) ((2. Seras hears something scampering around on the ground with her, unseen and about the size of what was heard in the walkway.)) ((3. Seras spots something hovering around Leon's outspread wings, but doesn't have time to register what it could possibly be before it vanishes.)) ((4. One of the doors on the ground floor suddenly opens about a foot, with much creaking and creepy sounds.))
