It was a Friday morning. A chilly, damp, Friday morning. Nikolai was rudely awakened by the screeching sound of his alarm going off right beside his head. Groaning loudly, Nikolai kept his position on the bed and lazily reached over, his hand roaming the alarm clock for the off button as his eyes were still sealed shut. Finally, when it was off, Nikolai let his hand drop and just lie there, fully awake now. He didn't want to get up, nor did he want to go to school. Flickering his eyes open, Nikolai turned his body so that he laid on his back, using his hands to prop himself up. His feet planted on the floor, Nikolai stood up and did his morning stretch. Crack his neck, his knuckles, his arms. He walked over to his window, pulling it shut as it started to drizzle.

↳ Dani woke up and groaned. Luckily it was a Saturday and she could sleep in. She was not going to go to school today, even if there was any. I mean they gave her sympathy time, her parents had just divorced. She had gotten over it, it was better then them fighting every night right? Sighing softly she thought about her ex, she missed him. He had seen her with some guy who was drunk, trying to make out with her and got upset. He was one of those guys that were actually caring, and she loved him for it. But he was gone. Smoothing out her pjs she closed her window and then looked across and saw Nikolai, her neighbor, and a loner. Dani was a popular, even though she looked like a loner. She was kind of like the school b***h, most people got on her bad side. When she was little she put up a wall to protect herself, so she still had that wall, but people took it was bitchiness. Whatever. Sighing she walked away from her window and trotted downstairs to go get some bacon or cereal. At least something to eat.

❝ Nikolai looked to his dresser drawers, trudging over to them, before picking out a pair of black skinny jeans and a grey pull on hoodie. He would wear his converse as well. After taking a quick shower, he left his hair a damp mess on his head and dropped his towel, slipped on a pair of stripped boxers, and then his clothing. His mother left early for work today. She worked as a nurse in the town's hospital. Snatching his Iphone from his nightstand, Nikolai made his way down stairs and to the kitchen. It was a rather gloomy day out today. The sky was full of dark clouds, the air was moist and there was a cold wind blowing from every direction. It was Autumn though, so it was expected. Nikolai sat down on a stool before his eyes found a grocery list on the fridge. He groaned and got up, snatching it off the magnet as he skimmed through it. Time to head to damn Target. ❞

↳ Dani got some bacon and eggs and sat down on the couch. She lived with her father, her mother about ten minutes away. Sometimes her father would be an a** so she would go to her mom's but her stepfather was an a** too. At least at her dad she could laze around in her pajamas. Most of her sisters were at her mother's though, being pampered since her stepfather was like crazy rich or something. Whatever, she didn't really care. Then she remembered the twins birthday. Finishing her breakfast she put on a hoodie and went out to her car. Probably gonna go to Target, it's closest. Dani backed out of the driveway and then drove to the store, searching for a good present.

Nikolai gave a small grunt, holding a child that looked about five years old in his arms as he shut the car door. "Stop whining." He told the little boy as he settled him into the cart. The boy pouted and crossed his arms stubbornly. "Little devil." Nikolai mumbled as he rolled the cart into the store. Even though the two didn't really look alike, they were brothers. The little boy was much chubbier than Nikolai remembered himself being at the age of five. ❞

Dani walked into the store and looked around, wondering where to go first, she was also going to get some food, while she was here. Then she settled on the toy section, looking for some plushies or baby dolls. Dolls creeped her out, immensely. The creepy little eyes and stuff, ugh. Sighing softly she walked or rather, fast walked though the many isles, her eyes scanning for a good toy. She settled on a giant giraffe and a giant panda. Those were the twin's favorite animals after all. Walking toward the food section she got chips, soda, bacon, ham, pizza, french toast sticks, ice cream, a bunch of stuff. She had about two hundred dollars so. Then she spotted Nikolai and some really chubby toddler. They didn't really look alike but ok. She doubted he had a baby or something, he was a loner for christ sake.

❝ Nikolai rolled lazily down the food aisles. "You can only have one, Joshy. We only have ten bucks left over." He told the little boy who was currently deciding on what candy to get. His mother only have him at least a hundred dollars for food, and food only. Whatever was left over, he could use for himself. Himself being his little brother. Nikolai didn't really need anything more. Nikolai blinked, confused at first when they stopped and carts clattered together. He looked away from the soup and frowned when he came face to face Daniella. "Whoops, sorry." He told her, backing up and going around her. "Not really." He added in a mumble, turning the corner.❞

↳ Dani walked down the isle, looking for skittles or something. Soon she bumped into someone and looked in front of her. Nik. Of course. " It's okay." She reassured fakely, and then heard his comment. " a**." She muttered and then continued down the isle. Soon she headed out the store, with may plastic bags on her arms. One thing you had to remember about Nikolai, was that he hated populars. Or at least acted like it. The young girl got into her car and then drove out of the parking lot, getting ready to go to the mall and find a dress for the twins wedding.

❝ Nikolai, after almost an hour later, was putting his little brother back in his bed for a nap. He went down to the kitchen and started putting the food where they belonged. Nikolai's relationship with the populars was... unknown, really. He had the looks but once one popular labels you, it's hard to change it. They didn't tease him a lot, like they do to others. The guys usually stayed out of his way which Nikolai didn't mind. He stays out of their way in return. He was mostly known for hating populars even though people never saw anything happen between him and one of them. Truth was, Nikolai didn't mind them. He just had no reason to tell them that.❞

Dani was at home, and had gotten a dress. Putting away her food she smiled and then walked out the door, not bothering to take her car. Her mum's was only a few blocks away. She was dressed up and everything for the adult party, which her mother had invited Nikolai's. Dani was probably going to visit her little sisters and the go to the adult party, but she didn't know. The song ' party on fifth avenue' was blaring which was okay, since most of the people in the neighborhood was there with their children. When she got there her mother told her how pretty she looked and then went to go take care of some things. Dani just went to the backyard and played with her sisters in the bounce house and such. She was very childish.
