Elves

Elves are a humanoid race. Elves are renowned for their grace and mastery of magic and weapons such as the sword and bow. Becoming physically mature by the age of 25 and emotionally mature at around 125, they are also famously long-lived, capable of living more than half a millennium and remaining physically youthful. They rarely die due to the wear of age. Possessed of innate beauty and easy gracefulness, they are viewed as both wondrous and haughty by other races; however, their natural detachment is seen by some as introversion or xenophobia.

Elf Types:
*Dark
-Dark elves are known for their aggression, deceit, and stealth. They are very brutal and cruel by nature, having little mercy when it comes to cheating, battling, or anything dealing with the life of another being. They have little respect for even their own kind, at times waging war against each other. However, clans are known to band together, to combat invasions and attacks by other races. They do not mix blood with other races. They lurk in dark places and love the shadows. Rarely will they come into the light for needless purposes, but it is not usually believed light will harm or weaken them. Their weakness varies upon legend, and may include excessive heat, rain, nettles, or the blossoms of some plants and trees. Dark elves generally travel in pairs or groups, as their tendencies towards cheating and theft make them targets for retaliation and violence at the hands of other races.
*Moon
-The most common of the elven subraces on Faerun are the moon elves. Thay have fair skin, sometimes tinged with blue, and hair of silver-white, black, or blue; humanlike colors are somewhat rare. Their eyes are blue or green, with gold flecks.
Moon elves prefer to dress in rustic clothes of simple cuts and fashions that are nevertheless of find and exquisite make. They adorn their dress with embroidered patterns, beads, and similar trappings, preferring earthen colors for everyday wear, hues that makie ti easy to conceal themselves in foliage. In place of safety or int times of revelry, moon elves enjoy dressing in bold colors – the more brightly colored, the better. Hair is worn in braids or ponytails, twinned with wires or beads. Moon elves sometimes wear body paint or tattoos in mystic patterns, although not to extent the wild elves do.

*Snow
-The appearance of the snow elves has perhaps given the other elven races reason to doubt their lineage as being truly pure. They are the shortest lived of the elves, with average lifespans of 750 years (900 being incredibly ancient). Additionally, snow elves are the tallest of the elven races and generally tower above humans. Females occasionally reach 6'4", and it is not unknown for males to have grown to 7'. While very thin, snow elves are extremely wiry and tough individuals. Snow elves have light brown or tan skin, white or pale blond hair, and silver eyes. They strongly favor white clothing and bone jewelry, trading for silver from valley elves.
Snow elves could best be described as neutral with insufferably arrogant tendencies. With the exception of the valley elves - whom they tolerate and occasionally befriend - snow elves actively dislike all races other than their own, and they go out of their way to make that fact known if given the opportunity.

*Wood
-The wood elves are among the most numerous of Faerun's elven people, a young and confident folk who hold the old elven forest homelands in strength. Theirs to the second generation of elven nations, wood elves see their realms as the natural successors to lands such as Eaerlann and Cormanthyr. Where the old empires expanded with strength and pride, the realms of the wood elves hope to grow with compassion and humility. The wood elves do not view their homelands as a land apart from Faerun; they understand better than their kindred that for better or worse, their fates are bound with the fates of humans, dwarves, and halflings around them.
Also known as copper or sylvan elves, these people have coppery skin tinged with green, and brown, green, or hazel eyes. Hair is usually brown or black, occasionally blond or coppery-red. Wood elves prefer to dress in simple clothing, similar to the moon elves, but not quite so colorful. They favor a simple cut to tunic or dress, set off by common embroidery in natural designs.

They are particularly fond of leather armor, and they often wear lovingly tooled and well-crafted suits even when they do not feel endangered. Their clothing, leather armor or not, is usually dark shades of green and earth tones to better blend with their natural surroundings. They are a humble race and only rarely do they enhance their appearances with jewelry or similar accessories.

Wood elves are as tall as most other Faerunian elves but more heavily built.

*Blood
Most are tall around 6'2", 6'4", and have skin with a light shade of red to it and have long swept back ears and bright shining green eyes.Gets along fine with most races especially elves though like elves they hate Orcs. Usually chaotic good or neutral. Any god of magic is usually worshiped. Blood Elf paladins worship Pelor or other sun gods. Blood Elf paladins may also worship gods of battle or retribution such as Saint Cuthbert. Language is Elven and common though if they have a choice of a second language most learn draconic Blood elves also learn the languages of friends and enemies. Such languages include: Sylvan, Dwarven, Halfling, Gnome, and the languages of any woodland creatures. Blood elves also like to learn elemental languages such as Ignan so that way they can command the elementals that they summon. Blood Elves are fast and smart though not very social. Blood Elves base land speed is 40 feet. Blood Elves are proficient with light and medium armor, and all simple and marshal weapons, along with all cross bows,(special, not proficient with any bows)
Magic Reverse: Can stop any spell being cast in a 30 ft area and can do one of two things with it.
- Can restore health
- Can reverse the spell and channel it through their weapon and use it as an arcane strike

Vampires
The traits of the literary vampire have evolved from the often repulsive figures of folklore. Fictional vampires can be romantic figures, often described as elegant and sexy (compare demons such as succubus and incubus). This is in stark contrast to the vampire of Eastern European folklore, which was a horrifying animated corpse. However as in folklore, the literary vampire is sustained by drinking blood. They do not need other food, water, or even oxygen. They are sometimes portrayed as being unable to eat human food at all, forcing them to either avoid public dining or mime chewing and eating to deceive their mortal victims. The fictional vampire, however, often has a pale appearance rather than the dark or ruddy skin of folkloric vampires and their skin is cool to the touch. As in folklore literary vampires can usually be warded off with garlic and symbols of Christian faith such as holy water, the crucifix, or a rosary.

*Pure-blood
-A pure-blood vampire is one that is born as one. It is a rare occurance, and so pure-blood vampires are stronger and more powerful. Anyone who has been 'turned' or made into a vampire is considered a non-pure blood. This is the case with most vampires.
*Dhampir
-A Dhampir in Balkan folklore is the child of a vampire and a human. Dhampir powers are similar to those of vampires, but without the usual weaknesses. Dhampirs are supposed to be adept at detecting and killing vampires.
In recent vampire fiction, Dhampir refers to any hybrid of one human and one vampire parent; they are half-breeds, not vampires themselves.

Gifted Humans
Known as sort of freaks by the un-gifted humans. Based on the person depends on what abilities they have. Their abilities can range from flight to being able to generate electricity from their bodies, etc. Though they are limited in their bodies they can still become quite strong if they practice using their abilities often.

*Espers
Humans with ESP (extra sensory-perception), allowing them to use such paranormal or supernatural powers, with the help of their own mental capabilites. These beings are generally placed under governmental aid, for in most cases regular humans tend to often shun these beings as monsters of society. However, even with this said there are still some used for uncanny purposes, within the world the regular humans exist in.

Half Blood-Demons
A half demon is a human who has demon blood as well. Sometimes this is because they have one parent who is a demon, or an ascended demon. Sometimes the link is more remote than that – a grandparent or ancestor. Obviously, the closer the connection, the stronger the ‘demon’ in the half demon will be, though even in the offspring of a demon and a human, the demon blood runs stronger in some than in others. The half demon has a multitude of different abilities, or the possibility of them. For some it's physical perks like strength, speed or resilience. For others it's mental abilities or claws, wings, a tail. Half demons appear to have a greater potential for developing special abilities. No matter what type of demon blood they have in them, or who their human parent was, it is definitely the case that physical, mental and magical powers are more commonly found in those with demon blood than in the general population. Half demons have a mortal life span – they never inherit the life span of their demon parent/ ancestor.

Witches
A Witch is an individual who engages in Witchcraft. In turn, Witchcraft is what Witches do. Witches can be male (sorcerer witch) female (sorceress witch).

Werewolf
Werewolves are men or women who change into vicious often man-eating wolves or wolfmen during a full moon. Although this is the most common belief in lycanthropy, there are numerous others that describe the voluntary or involuntary transformation from man to bears, big cats, hyenas, and other fierce creatures.

Often, werewolfism is passed on through tainted blood and can only be ended in death. It is said that shooting using silver bullets is very effective in killing werewolves, as is forcing them to drink salt water or splashing them with holy water. In some cultures, a blow to the head of a werewolf using an iron rod will free the man from werewolf possession.

Necromancer
Necromancers are evil practitioners of black magic. They are not good at hand-to-hand combat, but are able to perform dark rituals causing their enemies to suffer and perish in terrible ways. They have the ability to animate the dead, creating undead servants to do their bidding.

Dragons
I'm sure you all know what dragons are so there's not much to explain. But they must have some sort of human form so they can interact in a classroom setting.

Fairies

Fairy Types:

*Elemental:
This is pretty self explanatory. Elemental fairies can be any type that has to do with the elements such as Ice, Water, Fire, Air, etc.
Please have a human form.
((Will add more later on, tell me if you know anymore.))

Nymphs
Female nature goddess or spirit.

Immortals
Human in appearance, there seems to be very little to tell Immortals apart from the other seven billion 'normal' people who walk the earth aside from their incredibly long lives. It remains unverified whether Immortals actually live forever or simply have long life spans but the title remains. They are very durable, able to take far more punishment and capable of sustaining life threatening wounds and still remaining mobile in combat situations; the only way to ensure they are dead is by beheading them. As a race they are a surprisingly close knit community and have the ability to recognize each other on sight. They don't have any true talent in the supernatural aside from experience garnered over an extensive period of time, but every so often they have been noted for birthing prodigies in the magical arts and even a few with ESP. Not much is known about Immortals in general as they tend to keep to themselves and their kin, but it's almost common knowledge that the child of a human and an Immortal will turn out Immortal.
