In the dusk of the evening, two lions walked side by side away from the temple towards their once shared den. Kimya looked over at his son with a gentle smile. It surprised him every day just how independent the boy was, and how little he needed to get by. Vittorio had scared him when he had disappeared for weeks, only to return with his hunting party with the largest kill of the season. He'd been grinning the entire time, boasting of his skills, without a care in the world as to how traumatized his father was by the whole thing.

What if something had happened to his boy? What would he, what could he have done? He himself could barely handle the heat as it was, but his sons seemed to thrive in it. It was only natural, seeing as they were little desert rats.

Vittorio was seriously creeped out by his father. The male hadn't stopped looking at him since he had seen him home after work. He knew that out of five sons he was the only hunter, which made him a sort of oddball, but shouldn't Kimya have been used to that by now? Or was it the look of a father seeing his son after days apart, now that said son was living on his own?

He didn't know, and frankly didn't care, he just wasn't him to look at something else. "So...family time, huh?" He grimaced. It was something Kimya had been pressing for a while, no doubt thanks to the encouragement of his mother as well. "You realize we're adults now, right?"

Kimya snorted, giving him a stern glare. Adults or not, they would still be cubs in his eyes.
