Pain was in ecstasy; The screams of the terrified and the dying, the rending of flesh beneath his claws, the pain of their weapons impacting against his body, it was pure bliss. His eyes glowing like twin hellfires as he searched for his next victims. All around him, the Blighted swarmed into the city, killing soldats and civilians alike, adding to their ranks as the blight took affect.
A Blighted bandit ran after a child down a side street. as it turned the corner, a squad of soldats we're waiting for it and opened fire. the barrage of fire threw it back into the wall and sheared off it's arm as it slumped to the ground. the squad leader motioned forward "move up and secure the hostile." Suddenly, the Blighted began to twist and writhe as a dark ichor poured out it's shoulder and wounds, forming a chitin-like armor and a twisted clawed arm.
with inhuman speed, it rushed the soldats and tore into them anew.

Dr. Kraustik walked around the hanging walkway around the spherical core, a device that appeared to be a pistol grip mini-console with a sapphire blue orb the size of a marble affixed to the 'barrel' of the contraption, "So, mein frau. We meet again, fate one would say.", the doctor cackled with a grazed grin as he held the device with his right hand, typing in data on the screen at the back of the machine. Dr. Kraustic stopped his stroll, turning to Clarice to aim the device at her, the orb glowing bright blue as the device makes a charging beep that rises in pitch, "Ach, relax. Zis part will be relatively painless!", the doctor laughed as he squeezed the device's 'trigger' to propel a thin blue beam onto Clarice's forehead, the pressure of arcane energy pushing against her mind as the beam splits in two, the upper remaining in place while the lower does a sweeping scan of the biotic woman's entire person.

The Technomancer Commander examined the containment cage for U.O.W. Alpha, seeing no clear way to open the Caelium banded steel box. Looking to his mech on the landing platforms, the Technomancer felt an idea form as he made a dash for the ManaMech. Zenith entered the pilot's seat in the chest cavity of the ManaMech, the plate that lowered to form the entrance platform hissing shut as the monitors within come online. The Technomancer Commander held out his hands with palms up as he focuses intently on the tech composing the machine, forming a mind link with his ManaMech as fluorescent blue wires snake out of the panels to slither up his coat sleeves and attach themselves to his biosuit. "Systems, online.", Zenith said, his synthesizer melding with the mech's vocal circuits to amplify his tones as the wires flare white-blue, the monitors situating in a circle around the Commander's body to give him a 360 degree view. Zenith closed his eyes, feeling the energy coursing through the machine and linking his with it's as the wires flare bright white with supercharged power. "Tech Meld, complete.", the Commander said aloud, as he opened his eyes to cause the flaring electronic gaze of the ManaMech to burst forth. As Zenith moved his body within the mech, the machine followed his movements exactly, "Reducing arcane limiters, power stabilized at 40%.", the Commander relayed as the machine's systems became part of him, a flaring halo of blue arcana ringed around the mech's head as jets of blue flames flare up from arcane core crystals on the machine's shoulders. Zenith looked around as the Soldats took up their posts, the Caelium heavy machine guns within the murder holes along the Outer Deck walls becoming active as teams of Soldats occupy the towers. The Technomancer turned the mech's burning gaze to the other mechs, pointing towards the Beta, "Technomancers and Uni-Corps! Deliver the package to the enemy and hold position, reinforcements will converge from the desert squads to you. The invasion shall not be delayed!", Zenith commanded fiercely, attempting to make his orders convincing should the synthetic Colonel be keeping watch over him as he walked the towering machine across the Deck to Alpha's containment prison.

Dr. Kraustik gave a twisted smirk as the beam of blue energy fixed to Clarice's forehead blinked out, "Ach, your mind is clean...so to speak, mein frau. But, ze bio-scan seems to be picking up on traces of an unknown material, wunderbar...", the doctor cackled, lowering the scanning device and retrieving another pistol grip machine from a specialized holster on his belt. Dr. Kraustik aimed the device at Clarice, an infrared laser sight marking a target over Clarice's heart, "Zat means I get to use zis!", the doctor hissed in a twisted tone as he squeezed the trigger of the strange pistol. A hypodermic needle affixed to the tip of a neutral Irok'Cael round fired from the gun, stabbing into Clarice's chest as a viscous purple fluid was injected into her blood, acting like a magnet to draw in the mysterious source of the scanner's reading to form micro crystals within the biotic woman's bloodstream.

Dr. Kraustik crossed his arms over his face as the wave of energy bull rushed him, dislodging his balance and sending him skidding across the catwalk. Despite the smoke rolling from his shredded lab coat, the doctor stood shakily with a crazed grin on his face, "So, you wish to be difficult, eh mein frau? Ach, wunderbar...I like when patients choose ze hard way!", Dr. Kraustik cackled madly as he turned a knob on the side of the needle gun, aiming the device at Clarice's center of mass as he squeezed the trigger to send a burst of three needle shots into her chest and midsection. The viscous fluid converged within the biotic woman's bloodstream, amplifying it's pull on the the detected material and forming bigger crystals in her blood. "An increased dosage should passify you soon enough, mein frau!", Dr. Kraustik hissed with a manic laugh as he dashed forward, retrieving a keened arcane scalpel from the front pocket of his otherwise ruined coat in an attempt to dissect his patient.

Tzen stood slowly as Rosa and Selene continued on, retrieving her sidearm before activating her eyepiece to display a tactical map of the med bay level. "Hold it!", the Lt. Colonel called out, her forward stare becoming cold as she clicked her boots to activate a pair of anklets affixed to the plating. The anklets gave off a soft arcane glow as Tzen dashed around the corner, her movement speed increased exponentially while an intangible aura made the Lt. Colonel semi incorporeal, allowing her to swiftly phase dash through Selene and Rosa back to the T intersection of the hallway. Tzen turned and looked back down the hall at the both of them, "We seem to have gotten a rough start, I'm sure mon Commander has his reasons for involving you two in something that should be none of your business.", she said sharply, multiple contacts appearing on her map from down the forward and side halls, "But, if you're here to help then I suggest you fall in hold the line.", the Lt. Colonel called out with command of her own, as she tapped the coat control gem in sequence to engage an active camouflage to hide her actions from the oncoming kill squads.

Dr. Kraustik froze as Clarice pulled his beating heart from his back, his legs beginning to buckle from the loss of a vital organ, "Ach...", the doctor muttered, blood dripping from his mouth as he dropped to his knees. Dr. Kraustik slowly turned his head to look over his shoulder at the biotic woman, a sich twisted grin on his bloodied face, "T-touche...mein...frau...", he coughed, blood splattering the floor as he fell forward, a sanguine pool forming around his lifeless body to drip over the edge of the catwalk.

Zenith piloted his ManaMech across the Outer Deck as if moving in his own body. The machine bounded in great strides with a supernatural agility for the mech's size as Zenith stopped before the Alpha containment cell, the black steel box standing just a little shorter than the Commander's mech suit, "I can't believe I'm forced to this, unchaining this...monster.", Zenith though to himself as he looked through the ManaMech's eyes upon the containment cell, reaching out to grab the sides of the metal crate as an arcane glow pulsed around the mech's hands. Zenith planted the mech's feet in a wide sturdy stance and pulled, pumping arcane energy from within himself to amplify the strength of his mech as the squeal of metal being torn apart ringing in the air. The ground beneath the Commander's mech began to crack from the sheer force of the amplified enery bursts as the metal face of the containment cell shattered, the inside unnaturally dark as a harsh metallic growl resonated from within, "Commander...", Alpha's metallic voice growled as the monster stepped out from the darkness of it's cell, it's bladed tail thrashing around behind it to gouge small gashes in the very metal of the crate's floor. Zenith held a mechanized hand over the Alpha, the arcane glow becoming vibrant and bright as the Commander pooled excessive amounts of raw energy in his mech's grasp, "Listen up, monster, something deep within me tells me to hate what you are, but as Technomancer Commander I must use whatever weapons we have to defend our city. I order you as your Commander to defend the Under Realm, enemy casualties ONLY, personnel or civilians caught in your destructive path will be met with instant termination...by me personally.", the Technomancer Commander said with a tone of authority mixed with disgust, clenching the mech's grasp around the raw energy to form crackling bolts of electrical charge over the machine's fist as an example to the Alpha of what he is capable of. The mechanized monster chuckled darkly, "You don't trust me, Commander? I wonder why that is...heh..., Alpha growled in knowing metallic tones as it scraped it's serrated claws along the crates metal walls as it stalked out of the container, the monster's active camouflage rippling across the Caelium plates of it's body. Zenith watched through electronic eyes as the monstrous Alpha disappeared, instantly opening a com to combat personnel, "First defense, activate energy scanners and follow Alpha into the Under Realm. Second Defense, cordon off the Spire Hub and provide support fire from the stair. Kill Nests, keep your sights on the Hub and hold steady. I'll breach from the Gate Checkpoint and rendezvous with First Defense in the Central Spire atrium.", the Technomancer Commander ordered, acknowledgement lights flaring on the monitors within the ManaMech as Zenith began to pour fire energy through the mech's legs to propel his machine into the air like a comet, the jets flaring in an arcane blue trail.

Tzen watched as the contacts blinked out from her tactical map, her optical camouflage melting away like water, "Such a waste of good Kehjani...", the Lt. Colonel muttered as she followed after Selene through the bloody corridor, being sure to keep a watchful eye on the vyre as they continued to one of the lifts on this floor. A strange chill shot down Tzen's spine as the blast doors of a lift came into view in the smoky hallway, "Something's....not right.", she said, gripping her pistol tightly as the floor display counted down from the surface level. The display blinked on B10 as the blast doors began to hiss open, a horrified look covering Tzen's pale face as Colonel Parallax stood on the lift with his hands behind his back and a twisted smirk on his synthetic face, "So, fraternizing with the enemy, Lt. Colonel? How disappointing...", the synthetic man said in a calm monotone, his electronic eye glaring down on the frightened Lt. Colonel with malevolence.
