Indigo stopped running, out of breath already. She looked up at the entrance and smiled.
"This is Lapis Lazuli, Academy of Unnaturals."

Bastion ran up behind her nearly colliding with the girl as he did. He looked up at the academy and sighed. He looked over at Yin then walked over to the building and touched it, not seeing the entrance but touching the outer walls of the building.
"...This is the building with the... AC I believe you said... It doesn't feel any cooler... Maybe I'm not close enough..."
Bastion said as he rubbed his face up against the wall.
"...Nope..."

Indigo giggled and held up a finger.
"Just wait a sec..."
Yin walked up to the entrance and touched a couple of bricks in a pattern. The wall soon turned into a door and she smiled.
"The temperature adjusts itself to each and every student. So to me, it's warm and misty. To you, it may be cold and snowy."
Yin smiled, loving the feel of the water on her. The mist doesn't affect her as much as regular water does. Just a couple of scales appeared on her legs.

Bastion backed up from the wall and looked at the entrance to the building, he stood outside the entrance to the academy. It was a weird place but it felt like home, to him it felt nearly like it was below 0 degrees and he loved it, but at the same time he didn't feel welcome to go in. Though his mother did tell him she wanted him to an academy. He looked back over at Yin.
"... Are you sure... I don't feel so great about going in..."

Indigo laughed.
"It's alright. The school welcomes walk-in students. I was a walk-in, I never registered before hand."
Yin chuckled.
"Watch. Nothing happens when I do this."
Yin put her hand in the school, waited a couple of minutes, then crossed her arms. She smiled.
"See? Nothing happened."

Bastion chuckled and he stepped over to the building and walked inside the building and a small smile appeared on his face as the temperature adjusted to his liking, it felt like home. Bastion looked around the inside then looked back at Yin.
"... This is... pretty cool... how does it do that..."

"You haven't figured it out yet?"
Yin smiled and said next with an eerie tone.
"Magic."

Bastion looked around the entrance still slightly confused as to what she was talking about, magic. He walked over a bit further into the building looking around the room.
"...I'll figure it out eventually... Shouldn't there be someone that greets new people to the school... odd..."

"Not with what's been going on. Humans invaded this school and are trying to take it down, and us Unnaturals with it."

Bastion stared her for a minute then he rubbed the back of his head.
"... So humans hate us... they were trying to harm me with these..."
Bastion reached into his hood pocket and pulled out a handful of bullets, he then put them back in his pocket then took off his hood and under it his purple striped shirt had a bunch of holes in it and through the holes in his shirt you could see holes in his skin.
"... I thought that was how humans welcomed each other... but they wished to harm me... didn't they..."

Yin nodded.
"Precisely. They tried to kill me and shave off my scales."
With that said, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a couple of her scales. She sighed and examined the scales. She then handed one to Bastion for him to see.

Bastion poked the holes in his shirt and put his hood back on. He looked at the small pieces of metal in his hand and held them out to her as he took one of the scales, but the scale froze up in his hand and he looked over at her.
"...Sorry... What are these little things called... they came out of a small thing in the humans hands..."
