What's with the freakish weather some of us have been having

For example, here in England it has been red hot and sunny for the past couple of weeks, then all of a sudden it's gone dead-cold and rainy. Not just mild rain but parts of the country have been flooding gonk it's ridiculous...

well i live in missouri so im used to crazy weather...for example last week it snowed on monday, was in the 70s tuesday, dropped below zero wednesday, rained thursday and was extremely windy friday...
