Harpies/Gargoyles/Gorgoyles is also rumoured to show up with the beast list.

Harpies always seems too demon-y for me... they feel like they would fit better in the Demons codex

So you suggest that Dark Elves shouldn't have them?

Harpies are monsters of the warhammer world, I don't see why monsters would join in with daemons.

A note for fast cav, there's been speculations that Centigors might fill that role (or Warhounds), we'll just have to wait and see until more rumours start falling in.

sounds like someones had a fun night with the guild members... haha, and your meant to be the polite "It's best to give them a chance" guy!

anyway, on topic, the harpies fit the Dark elves, as they have a very slanesh feel anyway, but with the beastmen, they just seem... wrong somehow...

i'd rather gargoyles then harpies, gargoyles are just cooler (remembers back to 1996-98 Disney cartoon) oh man i hope i get to play alot of night fights XD

Harpies are more of a form of entertainment. Humans like to watch that drunk dwarf beat someone up, Dark Elves love to watch a harpy eat someone.

But Dark Elves doesn't follow Slaanesh (apart from the Witch Elves and Sorceresses whom secretly follow him/her/it since they're all secretly part of the Cult of Slaanesh), Khain is whom the Dark Elves follow, who is discussed to be a fragment of Khorne (many speculations around name and his mark), and in Warhammer 40k Khain is also Khorne's b***h, Khorne won Khaine from Slaanesh and shattered the diety into small fragments throughout the whole galaxy and created the Avatars of Khaine, whom needs a blood sacrifice to wake up. ;D

Gargoyles are already a daemonic beeing and doesn't fit in at all to be honest since Beastmen doesn't summon daemons (unless they're part of a bigger cult with chaos worshippers), while Harpies is a monster in the Warhammer World, one of many whom is created from the powers of Chaos (like griffons and about everything else), so it wouldn't be all weird if beastmen had access to them, but I wouldn't be suprised if GW made a "Gorgoyle" unit instead.

It really isn't mine, but feast your eyes.
I'm considering preordering some stuff just so that I have a hard start to my Fantasy career.

I had a flip through the army book yesterday, I'm not that impressed really. I also had a peak at both the Minotaur and Gor sprues. Gors look good, Minos I don't like.

The minotaurs remind me of Bane from the Batman Series. neutral
