Lingers an aged building known only as: Gateway Institute. Officially, its a psychiatric hospital dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of those suffering under mental strain. Contrary to the old time exterior, the plumbing has been updated and the building supports air conditioning and heat; but, the conditions are far from cozy...
Five years before, Gateway institute began to lose its credibility when a patient named: Lucy Steele suffocated herself with a long strip of twine before laying face-down on her bed. The orderlies (who have been suspended from medical assistance) simply thought that the young adult was making a scene. The court argued that they were new to the field, did not understand her disorder, and could not see the twine under her shirt. The moment that Lucy was found blue in the face; however, the state demanded that the head of the facility be removed...which is where our troubles began...
