Although everyone always said hindsight was 20/20, well, Amoroso's foresight was absolutely nill. In retrospect, he probably shouldn't have tried to steal something from a tough looking lion, but it had seemed like a good idea at the time....

He was walking along the coast-line of a gigantic lake, kicking a kelp-like weed out into the water, mostly minding his own business, since, well, he hadn't seen any others yet whose business he could mind. He was hungry, but he hadn't felt like hunting for awhile. It was easier to steal, and that's what he wanted to do. Unfortunately the opportunity hadn't yet presented itself...

So he walked along the lake shore, continuing to kick random items into it, a rock, a shell, more fresh water kelp... he even found a lizard to abuse.

The male was in a foul mood. He wasn't sure what had set him off, but he was like a ticking time bomb. He walked across the beach with heavy footfalls. The way he carried himself, told others to beware. Like a flag, beckoning all around to run in fear.

He had kept away from the general public today. He didn't want to say something that would cause someone to suspect his ploy, and when he was angry that was all he wanted to do. Tell them their days were numbered when he was the captain of these lands.

Though unless his plan worked out, he would not be a Pirate King the way he was hoping he would be. That was why it was so important for him to get things done.

Unfortunately for Amoroso, who would one day soon be known as Kelp, it was on this day that he would meet another lion in a very nasty mood....

The pink haired lion was mostly minding his own business, sniffing down along the beach, looking for a small bite of something or other he could kill to eat since the opportunity to steal hadn't come up. Then he saw the other lion.... who looked rather grumpy.

Amoroso didn't know why, nor particularly care why either. However it seemed like a lovely chance to steal something from another lion, and for some reason - against his usually better judgement perhaps - the fact that the other big cat looked angry made the thought of stealing from him all the more appealing...

A slow grin broke out over his face, and he trotted in that direction, allowing himself to be seen. He would play off an interest in asking some questions or other before he got down to business...

His presence did not go unnoticed, though Blackbeard assumed he wasn't attempting to hide.. Not the way he was moving towards him. He felt a growl rise in his t hroat as his claws unsheathed. He was ready to fight, and he only had to be given the slightest reason.

He felt his muscles tense, and he stood from his sitting position in the sand. He was prepared for battle, though he hoped for the others sake that wasn't what he had planned. As much as Blackbeard was angry, he wasn't looking to truly maim anyone today. It could be done though, and rather easily he might add.

"You had best stop before you get too close. I am not in the mood." He warned the other with a low growl.
