Savi’s last comment to the wild dog had purposefully been meant to raise some ire, though she had done so with the belief the wild dog would not follow. Thus the hyena walked away, her insult left behind. She would have to find somewhere else to get a meal, since this place did not seem as if it would provide one. It really was unfortunate. Now she might have to actually catch a meal for herself, or if she was lucky find one that had been taken down by a beast she could easily chase off.

Alnilam was far from amused by the last comment that had been left behind before the hyena had left. She didn't even know the name of the creature she was chasing after but yet the anger in her made her not care. Her maw was open, her nails digging into the dirt below her as she ran. Her pack had not followed, most likely because they figured she could handle herself. That and the pack needed more attention and they could not afford distractions. That was fine for Alnilam too. She didn't want the pack involving themselves in this as it was more the fact that this Hyena would eat her own father if given the chance and that angered her.

The sound of quick paw steps caught the hyena’s attention, ears flicking back before she turned her head to see what was running towards her. Perhaps she should have guessed it would be the wild dog, however surprised fell across her face when she saw the starry female charging towards her. The surprise was quickly replaced with amusement as she came to a halt and turned to face the oncoming dog. “You look a bit angry, pup. What’s eatin’ you?” She called out, a small, wicked smile spreading across her maw. Savi knew she was pushing it, but it was more fun seeing how easily someone’s buttons could be pushed.

She paid no mind to the comment as she continued her charge. Anilam's lips raised, showing her canines while her tail curled upwards. There were so many words she wanted to spit back at the other female but she kept herself silent instead, thinking it better then spewing words that meant nothing only to boil her blood even more. With effort, she closed the gap between the two, maw gnashing at space around the hyena's neck.

Savi fell quickly in to a defensive stance, her own teeth bared as her lips curled up in a snarl. It seemed that it was no longer a time for words, and Savi was certainly not gonna just sit back and take a beating. She did have size on her side, though the anger she had built in the other one would surely make it at least an amusing fight. It had been a while since she had had one of those. As she stood the gap quickly closed between them and the wild dog went for her neck. Savi took a quick side-step and swung her head, her own yellowed teeth parting as she went for the wild dog’s back.

Alnilam made her way to move though it seemed that it was not quick enough despite her smaller size. Even though she did move, the other's teeth still managed to grab a hold of her scruff, causing her to tumble to the ground. Being one of the alphas in her pack automatically made her hate being on her back as it was a submissive position for her. With a snarl, she kicked out, snapping back towards the hyena. She should have known better then to have gone after something like this without at least one Colossus with her, but she couldn't help herself. She wasn't going to go down without a fight at least.

The wild dog was caught by her teeth, though it did not do a lot of damage, however the smaller female fell tot he ground. Savi took no time in advancing further. Her haste however landed her close enough to the wild dog for the next attack to land. Teeth sunk in to her cheek and she let out a yelp of pain before shaking herself loose. She could feel the blood dripping across her fur, as well as smell it. A low growl escaped her as she took a quick step back. With a snarl her forelegs came up off the ground and she dove at the wild dog, jaws opened and ready to set upon any part of the starry dog she could get a hold of.

Alnilam's eyes widened as she saw the hyena coming back down on top of her. She turned to the side, but not before the other's claws caught her shoulder, breaking through the fur, down into the skin causing her to bleed. In her roll she managed to get herself back up onto her paws, a snarl coming out of her mouth as rage still filled her eyes. She hadn't even noticed two Colossus follow her to her brawl. The two large red males kept their distance, not interfering unless the life of their Baraza was in danger.

Blood fell upon the hyena’s tongue as her attack hit, however before she could do any more damage the wild dog managed to roll away. A snarl of her own was returned, faltering slightly upon sight of the two red wild dogs that had apparently come out, likely in aid of this female. Savi had no idea that this was their leader, but with their presence did not doubt they would help out one of there own. She took a step back, her aggressive manner dropped for her previously calm one. Her attention fell back to the starry pelted dog. “This fight is over.” She spoke, her voice low, almost having a growl to it. She likely would win, but with more bodies backing the wild dog, and surely more just a call away, she was not going to risk it.

With that Savi turned and trotted away from the trio of dogs, ears swiveling back to listen for any sign that they would follow.

The fight was far from over in Alnilam's mind, but as she rose to follow, the two larger figures came to her side, putting themselves between her and the Hyena. Wordlessly, she knew what they were there for. She was precious to the pack, their only real leader and they could not risk her for just a petty reason. They were there to escort her back. The starry female was less than pleased but she retreated with the two giant red hounds walking beside her.
