This is an elite RP guild for the serious roleplayer. We reserve the right the refuse entry to any user at any time without explanation. Failure to follow all of the rules at the bottom of this page will result in the poetic termination of your character and/or permanent or semi-permanent ban. You many create a new character after yours is killed (or create your first character) by following the steps under"Getting Started". Once you have been banned, you will be notified via PM automatically. You will be given a reason. As soon as you like, you may appeal to the Captain via PM (you will always be reinstated if you were banned for inactivity). State a reason why you'd like to become a member once more. For example, if you were inactive, list the reason or reasons why you were inactive and simply state that you are able to post more frequently.
REPEAT OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED PERMANENTLY.
CAUTION: If your roleplaying is not up to par, other players may contact the captain (Genrin619) about it*. You will be notified via PM and then suspended from the guild pending a rebuttal (via PM or trial thread). If you make a convincing argument, you will be reinstated. Simply join the guild again and be refunded the entry fee, PLUS the original entry fee for the inconvenience. This may seem harsh but this is, after all, an elite roleplaying guild.
All anonymous reports via PM will be kept anonymous.
Getting Started:
1. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING read "A Breif History of Otherworld".
2. Post first in "Character Aproval" thread, wait for a PM, then post in the "Character Introduction" thread to give the background of your character. YOU WILL BE GIVEN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN A PM (in certain cases, I will give you a class** along with tweaking other character details). DO NOT BEGIN UNTIL YOU RECIEVE A PM WITH THE CAPTAIN STATING THAT YOU'VE BEEN APPROVED.
3. Role play in 3rd person, as if you are telling a story - NEVER in 1st person. (I may let this rule slide in some cases, but if it gets out of hand, I will enforce it. Try to always roleplay in 3rd person.)
*Reasons RP would not be up to standard: inappropriate content, only posting a few sentences, language or content that makes other members uncomfortable, poor grammar and/or spelling to the point that you are not understood.
**Classes: Aristocrat, noble, common, underling, slave etc.
Your application should include: how active you will be, a demonstration of your literacy, and a brief introduction of yourself.
All donations should be made to the guild mule, Beloved Prophet.
