Territory Laws
Ravenheart Laws 1. Do not steal from other vampires or those of a higher class. 2. Do not murder**. 3. Do not commit perjury. 4. Do not tresspass. 5. Do not rape. 6. Do not drink more than one human per 3 months. Animals may be used to supplement. 7. Be honest and fair in your trades, unless the other trader is not honest and fair with you. 8. Non-slave/servant humans who will not soon become food or vampires as well as any other race than vampire will not be premitted in the city. Punishable by death. 9. Harming a human child (except in mild dicipline if you are a human guardian) will be brought to trial and is punishable by death. 11. Do not consume a human's blood who is not at least 25 years of age and raised specifically for food.
**Vampires may kill humans; vampires may only kill vampires under the following conditions:
1. It is the result of a feud. 2. It is to gain their political position. 3. They have broken a law (they must have a trial first; if they are killed without a trial it must be by the council or the vampire will be put on trial for the murder and must have a good reason or be subject to punishment). 4. Self defense.
Crystal Caves and Eastern Territory Laws 1. Do not steal. 2. Do not murder. 3. Do not commit perjury. 4. Do not tresspass. 5. Do not kidnap. 6. Do not rape. 7. Be honest and fair in your trades. 8. It is illegal to refuse to help one who is dying, starving, thirsty, lost, wounded, or ill (unless we are at war and they are from the opposing territory). 9. All native males must enter a lottery for military service from the time they are 16 to the time they are 20. If they have already served a tour, they are removed from the lottery. Anyone may join the military after the age of 18 and stay in as long as they choose.
Southern Isles Laws These are the basic laws. Specific laws presented upon demand regarding specific topics (ex. shipping laws, trading laws, marriage laws...)
1. Do not steal. 2. Do not murder. 3. Do not commit perjury. 4. Do not tresspass. 5. Do not kidnap. 6. Do not rape. 7. Do not ship someone to the off shore islands without the proper paperwork, the signature of the witness, and the passenger's consent. 8. When challenged to a duel, you must accept unless you have a reason, or be labeled a coward until your dying days (unless you redeem yourself). Women cannot duel. Duels are only fought with swords or fists. When one is defeated (on the ground) or surrenders, you must cease attack. A DUEL MUST NEVER END IN INTENTIONAL KILLING. Medical examination (and healing) MUST be given to both duelists. 9. Those who commit suicide are to have it marked on their grave and are not to have funeral service in a church, nor be burried in a church cemetary. 10. It is illegal to refuse to help one who is dying, starving, thirsty, lost, wounded, or ill (unless we are at war and they are from the opposing territory). 11. Falsifying documents or dishonesty on documents (specifically recommendation letters) is a criminal offense and will result in a heavy fine and a court sentence based on severity.
