Bel'tha'go

[Sigma Annihilus]

You now enter the Shadelands, a desert of ivory sand where the sun never shines. The sky is perpetually dark and starry night blankets as far as you can see. Situated atop a massive plateau sits a massive city of Gothic architecture. It is comprised of three rising tiers, The lower, the middle and the upper rings. Upon entering the lower ring through the massive wrought iron gates, you stand in the entrance plaza. In the center of the plaza is a fountain with a statue of a man wielding an over sized blade over his shoulder in one hand, his plate armor is silver trimmed in gold. Taverns of all types can be found here. Moving clockwise around the lower ring from the plaza is the market, the foundry and the lower residential areas. In the plaza, opposite the gate, is a large stairway leading up to the middle ring, where temples, nobles, and upper class shops reside. There are balls of colored fire dancing perpetually around the middle ring, bathing it in a luminous glow. Opposite the stairs to the lower ring is another stairway to the upper ring. In the upper ring lies the Palace, a series of seven spires arranged in a circle around a breathtaking central tower. The outer spires increase in size, the one to the left of the palace gate being the smallest and the one on the right being the tallest of the seven. The central tower is bathed in the luminous color of the middle ring's lights, it stretches high into the sky, a blazing fire sitting atop the tower as a beacon to those in the desert that Bel'tha'go is always watching.

Noxx'Zus leads them along the plateau to the gates of the Lower Ring. Vas'Kaa stands at attention, as if waiting. He salutes Ra'Sha and Kasumi with a smile, "Welcome home, my lord.", Vas'Kaa said, "Come, we have something very special prepared." Vas'Kaa and Noxx'Zus turned to the gates as they creaked open. When they entered the city, people lined up all along the lower and middle ring cheered as Ra'Sha and Kasumi entered the city. The colored fireballs floating above the middle ring shot smaller fireballs into the night sky, exploding into bursts of magnificent color. The people all cheered in unison, "Hail, Ran'Ke!", as they marched through the streets, up through the rings and to the palace. The Templars awaited in the courtyard, two lines standing across from each other. As Ra'Sha and Kasumi walked between the lines, the Templars drew their blades and held them aloft, "Present arms!", they shouted as him and Kasumi walked through the courtyard and into the main hall of the palace.

Kasumi follows in her wet robe, her hair sticking to her face, all wet.

Ra'Sha led Kasumi to the military camp at the base of the plateau, the caravan sitting just beyond. As he neared the carriage and cargo cart he saw Vas'Kaa helping the Templars to secure the pair of sarcophagi to the cargo cart. A young looking woman stepped forward as he and Kasumi neared, she wore a flowing dress that had a starlit pattern to it, her long black hair pulled into a braid behind her with small orbs of glowing light woven into the braid. Riza'Da-Shar bowed as Ra'Sha cleared the camp, "Good day, Highlord. And to you as well miss Kyuketsuki.", she said, her voice was very light. Ra'Sha nodded to the High Priestess, "Good day, Riza. I understand you wished to speak with me.", he said. Riza'Da-Shar walked closer, pulling Ra'Sha's head close to hers, "I know of your vision, Highlord. The Lady of Night came to me to warn you, there is a stirring shadow looming in your future. Beware, my Highlord.", Riza'Da-Shar whispered into his ear before taking a step back. The High Priestess pulled a scroll from her long sleeves, holding it out to Kasumi. "This is for you, miss Kyuketsuki.", she said. The scroll opened into an intricate painting of a lithe bodied woman with skin of stars and long hair of moonlight, colorful nebulas swirled around the Lady of Night in a celestial dress.

Kasumi smiled at the Priestess. " thank you, Yumi will over see the carving." Kasumi said as looked at the scroll.  

[Sigma Annihilus]

Riza'Da-Shar smiled to Kasumi and bowed. "Safe journey to you both.", she said before walking into the military camp towards the elevator. Vas'Kaa lept from the cargo cart, having finished securing the sarcophagi. "Are we ready, sir?", he asked, saluting his Highlord. Ra'Sha nodded, "I believe we are, Vas'Kaa.", he said, patting the guard captain on the shoulder. Ra'Sha opened the carriage door, allowing Kasumi to enter first before he entered to sit next to her. Six Templars remained on the cargo cart to make sure the sarcophagi stayed put as Vas'Kaa took the drivers seat. Vas'Kaa cracked the reins as the four Shadelands steeds neighed an otherworldly tone and began to move. The carriage slowly made a turn and began to pick up speed as the horses thundered on toward Hiroshima.

Kasumi sat and looked out of the window, lost in thought and trying not to ravish Ra'Sha.

Capfires dotted the Bel'tha'gian military camp at the base of the plateau. Lieutenant Firin'Rai was sitting at one of the many campfires, revelling with the Bel'tha'gian soldiers, him being the only Templar present. Firin went to raise a mug of strong whiskey to his lips as he turned his gaze out towards the desert, lowering the cup as he spotted Vas'Kaa, Senja'Na and Talla'Yu helping the Highlord and a stranger through the ivory sands. Firin'Rai dropped his mug and took off towards his comrades. As he approached, Vas'Kaa shouted to his Lieutenant, "Firin! Ready a spacious tent and gather the medics, now!", Vas'Kaa shouted in a commanding tone. Firin didn't stay to ask questions, he turned immediately and rushed back into the camp, "Medical Corps front and center!". A group of five Bel'tha'gian soldiers in their full black caelium plate line up before Firin. Their armor sports a silver star burst on their chest plate, the traditional Bel'tha'gian mark of the healer. "Medics, clear the command tent. We have injured, so move!", Firin commanded the medics, who all saluted in unison and rushed towards the large command tent. Vas'Kaa and his two subordinates escorted Ra'Sha and Selene into the now cleared command tent, helping them to a cot as the Medical Corps prepare salves and bandages for them.

The Medics work on Selene and Ra'Sha in two groups. Two Medics at work bandaging Selene's wounds, one of them noticing her wounds starting to close before they finish. "Incredible, she's regenerating.", one Medic said, excitedly. Vas'Kaa shrugged as he watched the Medics work, "I'm not surprised, she's Starborn.", he said. Firin'Rai looked to Vas'Kaa, a puzzled look on his face. "Starborn, sir?", Firin asked. Vas'Kaa nodded, "She comes from the stars beyond our skies. Shar only knows what exists out there.", the captain said. Ra'Sha opened his eyes slowly, his wounds glowing with golden light as they seal closed. "Where am I?", he asked in a disoriented tone. Ra'Sha's eyes suddenly widened as he sat up quickly, startling the Medics. "Ran'Ku! This isn't over!", He roared as he stood and stormed out of the tent. Vas'Kaa ran after him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Sir, wait! You can't...", he began. Ra'Sha pulled away from Vas'Kaa, glaring at his guard captain fiercely. "I won't let that maniac go again! You know how big a threat he is, it ends now!", Ra'Sha said strongly, his voice echoing with power. Vas'Kaa lowered his arm and stepped back, "But sir, what if you go back and he's not there? Will you come back?", Vas'Kaa asked in a concerned tone. Ra'Sha sighed heavily, "Fine, Vas'Kaa. If he's left the tomb then I will return, and we will plan our next move.", Ra'Sha accepted. Vas'Kaa saluted Ra'Sha as his superior, "Sir!", he said as Ra'Sha turned and lept into the air, his cloak parting up the middle into wings as he flies toward the Crystal Tomb.

The Medics gasped with astonishment as the last of Selene's wounds closed without their intervention. "Amazing. Master Rai, her wounds have all closed before we could apply the major healing salves, her regenerative properties are truly astonishing.", one of the Medics said, turning to Firin'Rai. The Lieutenant nodded, "Good, I'll inform the Captain and maybe he'll have some insight on this.", Firin'Rai said as he turned to exit the tent. Firin walked up beside Vas'Kaa, who was standing by a campfire alone. "Sir! The Starborn has fully healed, on her own ability, sir.", Firin said with a quick salute. Vas'Kaa nodded, staring at the embers of the fire, "Good. Now, wake her. I want some answers, like why she's here and what she wants. Until further notice, she is officially under the custody of the Templars until we figure this whole mess out.", Vas'Kaa ordered. Firin'Rai saluted once more, "Yes, Sir!", he said, turning to re-enter the tent. Firin walked up to Selene's cot and placed a hand on her shoulder, lightly nudging her awake. "Miss? My name is Lt. Firin'Rai of the Templars of Bel'tha'go. I hate to do this, Ma'am, but by order of our honored Captain, I hereby place you under arrest. Now, I have some questions to ask you, will you comply?", Firin'Rai said politely, removing his visored helmet and pushing his shaggy white hair out of his face as he pulled up a crate to sit on.

Selenes armor started to fix it self, her guns rebuilding them self. Selene s body became suround by her blue biotics as she sleeps, her orange omni-tool turning one, a holovideo playing
" if this is playing it means im running out of energy and i need to be injected with ezo, you may think I am human but I am half synthic now. these are the energy reading levels that I have to be injucted with, if you do not help, I will die. My body will have a laps 2 hours after this video ends. 3 hours after the laps my organic parts will die. "

Firin'Rai stood startled by the sudden aura of blue energy surrounding Selene, watching the holo-video entranced. After the hologram dissipated, Firin'Rai ran from the command tent swiftly even in his caelium plate armor. "Captain!", Firin shouted as he ran to the campfires. Vas'Kaa looked over his shoulder as Firin'Rai called, "Captain! We have a problem!", Firin'Rai said, slightly winded from running in his armor so suddenly. Firin'Rai explained the message he discovered from Selene's hologram as they walked back to the command tent. Vas'Kaa stood outside the command tent accompanied by his Lieutenant, "Ezo? I've not heard of such an energy source. I don't believe anyone in this desert has.", Vas'Kaa said. Firin'Rai paced outside the tent, trying to think of what to do. "What about the steward?", Firin said suddenly. Vas'Kaa thought about it for a moment, "Noxx'Zus would know this desert better than anyone.", Firin added. Vas'Kaa nodded, "True enough, I'll go and speak with him. In the mean time, take the girl to the Temple. Riza would also know better how to approach this problem than the Medics.", Vas'Kaa said, recieving a quick salute from Firin'Rai. The Lieutenant called over Senja'Na and Talla'Yu from the campfires as Vas'Kaa headed up to Bel'tha'go. "Ok, I want you two to help escort the Starborn girl up to the Temple.", Firin said in his best attempt to sound commanding. Senja'Na and Talla'Yu saluted the young Lieutenant, "Sir!", they said in unison before grabbing a stretcher that the Medic Corps provided. Senja'Na carefully lifted the unconscious Selene and placed her on the stretcher. Firin led the two Templars through the military camp towards the elevator up to the top of the plateau.
