Sebastian watched her nibble and crunch away at the sweet before speaking. He did not eat the sweet treats but waited for his tea.

"I am a butler, miss." he spoke gently; a calmness to his voice overcast the sharp tone he had with the waitress.

She promptly delivered their tea, seeting each cup gingerly on the table and pouring before leaving them to their conversation.

Sebastian looked over at her as he reclined, not relaxing but reassesing his position.

"How much honey for you?" he asked, dropping a dolop into his and gingerly using the small spoon provided to stir it as it cooled.

Somehow, Strayel wasn't really surprised. She gazed at the male thoughtfully and nodded her acknowledgement. I see.

Once the waitress was gone and the two dollops she requested to her tea had been applied she leaned back and gazed at the stallion, piercing violet eyes watching him through the rising steam of her tea.

He was educated, calm, seemingly withdrawn, dominant in personality and quite capable of giving orders, and he was a butler. Stoic, subservient to their chosen master.

Who is your employer? she asked him curiously, sipping her tea, ears slowly laying back against her head as the heat melted through her. She closed her eyes, exhaling softly, the stress going with it, if only a little bit..

Sebastian took time to answer her, his tea was almost entirely cool. He though, had added an ice chip to cool it. He always prefered cool drinks...

"Miss, I am all but finished with a job concerning the Knight's Guild," he spoke, referring to a knight whom he was sworn to kill before advancing. His position under the Lady Akuma was always his forefront job but daily...he was not under her rule. Just at night...and Goddess forbid anyone found him out.

Sebastian sipped at his tea and rested both arms on the chair with hooves crossed in a gentalmanly position.

"Did you require a butler, miss?" he almost wanted the job...wanted to see how the place looked without Angelus to brighten it. How things changed...what had the lady done to their bedchambers? where he was slain...?

Strayel observed his behavior, noting that, like Angelus had, he preferred to chill his drinks. His posture proper, his voice professional.

He was finishing a job, then. At his inquiry she considered the question truly.

Did she require a butler? Perhaps. Razvan had suggested hiring one many times. The house often seemed to come to life, things always out of place somewhere, or lost, or messy. With so many visitors and the two young colts flitting about... maybe, realistically it was time to consider it.

They had drawn up a list of positions they thought could use filling. Kitchen Staff, House Keeper, Nanny... and Butler had made the list. Someone they could trust to keep an eye on everyone else. The opportunity was conveiniently presenting itself, and the fact that he was a friend of her late husband made that fact all the more surreal.

She was hesitant about hiring staff, the house was more than big enough for it, and with all the travellers and visitors they had, maybe it wasn't a bad idea. If they started with a butler they could explain what they were looking for. They could lay down rules for the staff that was hired to follow and they wouldn't have to worry about it. Small things bothered her about the idea of having a house keeper... like her bedchambers... she didn't want anyone in the room, or changing the bed clothes/ She had left Angelus' pillow covers on his pillows, and even after three years they bore his scent, but much fainter. She couldn't stand the idea of someone taking them off, or washing them... perhaps it was folly, but she wasn't ready to let go of one of the last tangible things she had left of him.

No one else had yet claimed her heart, and now she began to think no one would, which she was fine with. She had Hawke, something to live for. She had filled the home with her family, but there were rooms no one but she went to. His study... his music room had too been untouched, until her son recently found his way inside. Now, every night she heard him play, young, untrained fingers carefully making it's way over strings he'd been practicing.

The boy's biological father had become a part of the boy's life. He was a bard, so he'd been teaching the boy to play the harp, and to sing. Hearing the boy play at night reminded her of Angelus, playing when she slept. The boy wouldn't play during the day because he didn't want his cousin to know he was playing. Straye told him he was being silly, but truthfully, she didn't blame him. Acheron was a tad more rambunctious, even for all his good intentions.

This time it was she that took awhile to respond to his inquiry. We have been considering hiring staff for our home... A butler was top priority on the list. If you're interested, I would trust someone Angelus counted as a friend over a Stranger. she said slowly, her voice was cautious, her violet gaze lifting to look at him over the rim of her tea cup.

Sebastian's eyes rolled over the lingering last lips of steam which rose from the cup opposite his. He set his down, the lemon slice resting on the plate dripped silently onto the table. With expert accuracy he removed his napkin and cleaned the small mess however minute the lack of order he was always able to fix it.

His hands rested, folded, ever so neatly on his lap.

His lips moved slowly at first then gained their usaual confidence once more.

"If you are offering the position I will ahve to check with my late family, Miss." he nodded curtly as his teacup was raised to his lips once more. He sipped and finished the glass before deighning a response toa ny questions.
