A blurple phony trotted down the bath with a frown on his face. He kicked a small pebble out of his way and continued on his walk. Draft Punk sighed as he walked with no particular destination. He had been kicked out of the house after some of his mother's bottles had fallen off the shelf during his bass session. Ah he hated not being able to play his music when he needed to. He always felt this need to create and his mother and Taquita never understood!
Maybe going to see Lullaby would help. He liked the colt and they always got along. Of course he didn't know if the other would be home or not. So he decided to head for Yawn and Tangle's stable. Maybe the pale colt would want to sing songs or something.
Once at the door he knocked then sat on his rump waiting. He had to knock a few more times, wondering if anyone was even home. Maybe they had gone out or something.

At the third knock there finally came a shuffling sound from behind the door. Something thumped against the other side and there was another long minutes before the door finally opened, revealing one very sleepy looking face.
Yawn smiled sweetly at the little phony as she teetered on the edge of collapsing back into sleep. She had been napping, though lucky with Draft Punk, not so deep asleep that a door knock could not rouse her.
“… c-come in…” She offered, shuffling out of the doorway. Oh, he was probably here to see Lullaby. “sorry… not here.” Yawn mumbled, fairly sure she’d said ‘sorry Lullaby is not here’ though her sleepy brain had not managed to wake her mouth get that all out.
“… tea?”

Draft was just about to leave when Mrs. Tangles came to the door. He had heard stories of the mare's ability to fall asleep and stay asleep but it was kinda weird to see. She was a pretty mare though, her coat reminded him of his brother PARTY.
"Good Morning Mrs. Tangles."
Oh...well that must mean Lullaby wasn't there. That was really the only reason the colt would be there. He was kinda sad, he had wanted to work out some decoration details of their secret new Clubstable with his friend. After all they had to make the place stalliony in a way. That way the fillies wouldn't make it all.....frilly.
"Oh. Ok thank you," he nodded at the offer of tea and trotted in. Mrs. Tangles was really nice but seeing her with Mr. Tangles always made him kinda jealous. They were so happy together; giving Lullaby a happy family life. Unlike the tumultous family dynamic that he put up with.
"Um....how are you today?"

Yawn trotted over to the little kitchenette and spent a long moment staring at the kettle until Draft’s question jolted her from her dazed state. “Hmm? O-oh… oh, I’m well dear, thank you for asking.” She smiled pleasantly at him and remembered what she was supposed to be doing, setting the kettle to boil and getting out to Phony-friendly cups.
“H-how are you?” She ushered him over to the little coffee table and offered one of the many pillows scattered around the room. “And how is the family?”

"Oh...um...I'm good I suppose. I was coming to play with Lullaby but he's out. Mama kicked me out for breaking some bottles with my music," he looked to the sleepy unicorn.
He kinda looked down at the table when he was asked about his own family. His family was a wreck in his opinion. Papa was always out, he made some time for each of them but it was rare and he usually had some random mare with him. That usually put Mama in a bad mood when he came to pick the kids up.
Scent was a good mother, concerned about her phoal's futures but wasn't exactly....maternal. She was more likely to give a disapproving look and point out a flaw than she was to encourage and compliment. But that was her nature. Auntie Bon Bon was the sugared words kinda mare. Along with her sugared treats.
"Mama is kinda mad right now. Papa is practicing for a concert. Auntie is getting ready for the big Christmas Party. And Uncle Honey spends a lot of time in his garden now that it's gotten cold. Um...how is...Mr. Tangles? Is his garden well?" he looked to the female. Didn't Mr. Tangles grow things to? Only not flowers like Uncle Honey?

Yawn stared off towards the door for a long, dreamy moment. “Lullaby and the others went out to play… I’m sure he’ll be back soon though.” Not that she could remember when exactly they’d left. She blinked sympathetically at him when she mentioned his mother was angry. “I-I’m sure she won’t be mad for long. When she calms down and realises it was an accident, she’ll give you a big hug.” She gave him a reassuring smile.
She had settled down on one of the cushions and didn’t seem to hear as the kettle started to whistle loudly. “T-tangles is good.” Yawn had a bright, adoring look on her face when her husband was mentioned. “Oh yes, he takes very good care of it. We have the most wonderful vegetables all year round and he makes the most wonderful vegetable soup.”
The kettle whistled and steamed.

Draft kinda doubted that part about his mom getting over her anger and giving him a big hug. Mom didn't hug all that much, Auntie Bon Bon did and she always smelled like chocolate or cinnimon, but not mom. But he nodded anyway to the dark mare as she tried to be reassuring.
As he listend to her talk about her husband and his veggies she seemed to not hear the kettle whistling. He kept looking back and forth between the mare and the kettle as it continued to steam. He hoped she didn't fall asleep right there. But he had to be a gentleman if she did. Uncle Honey always said to be a gentleman to a lady.
He got up and nosed the stove to the off position so the kettle would stop whistling, "Um Mrs. Tangles the water is ready I think."

“Oh, so it is.” Yawn smiled and got up slowly, wandering over and pouring two cups.
Yawn nearly dropped the tea when the door suddenly crashed open to reveal a soggy, unhappy Lullaby. “Mamaaaaa, they pushed me in the water and-“ He stopped his loud whine upon seeing Draft beside his mother. The little foal blushed in embarrassment. “…hi.” He sniffed back tears.
“Oh darling.” Yawn clucked sympathetically as she lowered the two cups of tea to the table. “I’ll get you some tea as well.”

Draft was about to thank Yawn when the door burst open and there stood his dear friend, the one reason he had come here, soaking wet and obviously upset. Looking around he found a towel and trotted over, tossing it onto Lullaby's head.
"Hey man, you ok?" he smiled at his pale friend. But the look of embarressment on Lullaby's face made him feel sad. He didn't want his friend to be sad. Maybe he could help! Hmm....
"You know tea with lemon helps fight off a cold. Don't want one of my best friends to catch cold," he smiled and escorted the phoal to the pillows, "here just lay here and I'll help with the tea."
He made sure his friend was dry enough then went to Mrs. Tangles. He didn't really expect her to....well...concentrate too hard. He found some lemons, sliced them like he had seen his auntie Bon Bon due when she made Lemon Creme Pie, then squeezed some fresh juice into it. Carefully he took the cup and placed it infront of Lullaby.
"There we go! Cold Fighting Super powers!," he grinned.

"Oh…” SYawn had only just poured the tea when young Draft moved beside her to take charge, putting his own lemony touch. Ah, and Lullaby had already been dried too! Yawn smiled and sat back to watch.
Meanwhile Lullaby wasn’t sure if he was happy at the fuss or if he wanted the ground to swallow him up from embarrassment. He didn’t want his friend to think he was a ‘sissy’ or something like that. “T-thankyou…” He muttered as he sat down on the pillow. “No, you don’t have to…”
He was actually really happy for the attention. “Wow, that smells good.” He took a careful sip of the tea. A bit sour, but he liked it. “I know I won’t get sick now.” Lullaby grinned.
“That was so kind of you Draft.” Yawn commented, looking delighted. “You’re a wonderful friend.”

Draft smiled and sat next to his friend, sipping his own cup of tea that Yawn had already poured. It made him feel good that his friend was happier now. Yeah he would have been kinda embarressed to but he had worried. He looked up at Yawn as she complimented him and blushed.
"Well....you know...that's...," he looked at Lullaby and smiled, "thats what friends do." And he was still blushing a bit. He didn't know why he had done it really, that all those thoughts came into his head. Only that it had been the right thing to do at the time to take care of his friend.
"And since you won't get sick we can play in a bit. Somewhere not near water," he giggled, "I could play you one of my new songs!"
