[PRP] What took you so long?! (Yessenia/Tobias)

Yessenia couldn't believe he was gone.

How long had it been since she'd last seen Tobias? She was younger then, smaller than she was now, and somehow she'd gotten younger as the years went by. She was less serious now, more prone to spontaneous laughter and loud outbursts, with a brightness she'd never had. All in the hopes that her lover boy would return to her sometime soon.

She prowled the hunting grounds with a sense of purpose. What sisters hadn't left home were scattered close by, and she, well, Yessenia was bent over in a bush. Watching. Waiting. Listening for the herd to move her way so she could attack.

One day soon she wouldn't be hunting for her father, but for Tobi. Something about that made her frown. She'd have to share him, with a stranger! Some floozy she'd never met was spending time with her man right now, and who knew what position she'd have when he brought her back? Yessenia gasped, startling the herd to run. "What the he-?" When did they even show up?! Had she really been that out of it?

Yessenia shook her head and took off at a dead run after them.

He had been gone for a few moons, and sunrises. He missed his home, and longed to return with every ounce of his being. He had probably cheated the system a bit by bringing home someone who had asked to follow. He wanted to protect her, and her sisters mate had asked him to help. She was a little leopard, one with a permanent gimp leg that made her movements slow and uncooridinated. She'd have never lived out on her own, and her sisters were beginning to move on with their futures. He couldn't help himself, he was a good guy. His heart went out to her, and he knew she would be protected where he was from. She would be a good cubsitter, and he was going to need one of those one day! He walked side by side with her, his handsome face happy and proud. He could return home now, return home to the love of his life, and his other banu.

When he reached a secluded den, he asked her to stay behind, his eyes kind and promising. She wasn't going to be left behind, he wouldnt allow it.
"Don't move." He told her, and then headed back. He was so close to home, that he wanted to find food for them before they went much further.

It didn't take long for Yessenia to pick off one of the smaller devils after it's hoof had snagged on a rock. Granted, it wasn't like she didn't have the advantage, now that it's leg was broken and it was on the ground, so she justified her killing as an act of mercy. Better to die quickly and serve as food than to suffer and spoil in the sun.

Yessenia placed one of her large paws on the body, her eyes scanning the horizon for her sisters and spotting a flash of pink. She couldn't really make out who it was in the sunlight. Was it one of them? She wanted to call out, but something stopped her. This was perhaps the closest she had ever been to the rogue lands, and the chances that this stranger was dangerous were high.

Then something else hit her. Could it be....? Was it him? Yessenia bit her bottom lip. If it was, what should she do? Risk being stolen by another male or embarrassed by her sisters just to see?
