[Prp/FIN] Welcome Home [ Jabari x Nahasi ]

She was on a mission- no she was kidnapped! So many rumors were circulating on why exactly she had left. Surely her father or mother would have cared? But even them, they seemed to have left the pride they called home for so long. But rumors also circulated about her triumph on many- and many of fights. She - herself was exactly that. A rumor. That what she was made up as. Slowly, with her body a bit tired did she finally find her way back. After a few years of being away. Once upon her youthful Adol- the girl had 'disappeared'- and never heard from. Now at mid age adult... It was time to go home.

Her whole body ached and everything about her was tired and draining, She could see up ahead where it had once been.. but failed to make it and fell short a yew yards from the entrance.. She couldn't remember what it felt like- to be underground. No sir, she had been living a life of rogue and subtle missions that no one knew of. No.. and no one should know..

If the hyenas or some other animal didn't get her- when she woke she hoped this wasn't a mirage..

Was it true? He had heard rumor of a grey female approaching the entrence. No one knew where the entrence was except for her and the pride members. It had to be her. A guard was coming to him to escort him to where she laid near the entrence of the pride, but he didn't have the patience to wait. The guard could catch up and carry her if that was what was needed. For now he would hurry to her.

Jabari, his sister. She was home. She was home at last.

He scurried through the maze, occasionally making a wrong turn, until he saw the sun coming into the tunnel. This was the closest he had ever come to the outside world and he was going to share the moment with his beloved sister. "Jabari, Jabari your home." he leaned down to her. His fur felt a tinge of warmth as the sun beamed down.

"What happened to you? Why did you leave? Are you okay?" He knew she was probably too tired to answer all of his questions, but he couldn't help but blurt them out. "A guard is on his way to come take you home. A healer is already ready to take care of you. Oh sister I missed you so much."

The sun was slowly touching up on her body.. he had not caused her to stir and neither did the guards when they approached her to see if she was.. well dead. Who she was- her predator hearing only activated when someone got abnormally close.. playing dead was not her specialty but it did spare her a few meals.. Til she heard that voice- how long as it been? She slowly lifted an eye.. Her blind eye.. Although she couldn't see, it opened anyways. Then another eye opened- her good eye. That red Iris much like her brother's searched the lower end of the male then rose up til the questions came and she grunted in comparison to answering. "I'm ok." She stated. "Give me a minute~ give me a minute." Her voice seemed crackled and aching moisture.

Licking her lips before lifting her head up, but exhausted like. Searching her brother's face- it was hard when one eye had gone blind but regardless, through her good one she saw her brother. Which made her tiresome face lift up just a little before pulling him by the arms down to hold and snuggle him. Chuckling some as she rolled with her tiresome bones with him. Pinning him but could have been easily pinned and fought back of- just because the journey was too long for her body. She would let him win if he wanted.. She was just... so overjoyed that her mind didn't full register that her brother was in her arms now.. and dung her face in to his neck..

Inhaling his scent..

"And I to you- Nana."

Hugging him tight..

"I missed you- SO much.." Pawing at his face and nawing on his head. "A guard? Take ME home?" She could only chuckle before she grunted in pain and rested her head back down on top of his head. Ears pinning down as she felt the sun creeping upon her back side.. What she had taken for granted being out in the roguelands for so long- she didn't realize what exactly was happening and how special this moment was.. Just knowing that him in her arms just made sense.. And if this was a mirage so be it and she would live happily in the afterlife...

The warmth of the sun automatically made her throat rumble in a slow purr..

Nahasi grinned at his sister, it was like for a moment she never left. He noticed her eye was now blind, and she was covered in scars. It caused him to wonder what exactly happened and who did it to her. If he could he would be sure to get his revenge, but for now he wouldn't worry about it. Jabari needed her rest. He would ask her what happened later.

He let her hug him tightly. It felt good having her here again and he missed her terribly. He had, like many others, thought she had passed away because of how long she was gone. His father never told him why she left, just that she left. It angered him that his father kept things from him, especially now that he saw all the scars on her.

"Let me carry you in," he offered, not wanting to leave her too far. "I'm strong enough to carry you," he gave her an innocent smile, hoping that she would be fully recovered soon.

"When you are better I will have to show you around the pride. Things have changed as normal. There are new tunnels and some of the old ones are now blocked. It's an ever changing maze," he said with a laugh. "But somethings haven't changed. This is still an amazing pride, a true sanctuary for all the come here."

He didn't want that to change. His father view were not his, and he would have to change parts of how Mazu runs, but for the most part the pride wouldn't change. For now he was happy with it. "This pride being a home for all will never change."

A few rolling movements before she rubbed her face in to his fur. Oh little brother, How I missed you so.. but those words didn't come out for one reason or another. Being the 'Princess' or royal from her blood... didn't grant her as much happiness as it did her younger brother. He was just the one whom was burden to taking the pride over. "You carry me? Brother you are insulting me." Shaking her head as she slowly lifted her body- even she couldn't deny the aches she was experiencing in recoil of her moving.

Lowering her body as she felt yet again the warmth as she got closer and slowly looked up to it.. "The Sun.." Then turned to her brother, "I think i may take you up on the offer my body is beyond that of moving... But a medic I refuse. Understand~" She eyed him for a moment before prepping herself to be carried but then- she stopped. "Where was that guard of yours- make him carry this old fat lady." Her laugh seemed so carefree now.. yes that was what home did to you.

"You need not to convince me dear brother- I know this is my home.." Shaking her head.. "I'm surprised father hasn't greeted me yet- such as you have. It will be a surprise for him for sure~" 'That I am alive..I am stronger..'

"You're not fat nor old. You are just as beautiful as ever," he said rubbing his head on her chest. "You are by far the pretties female I have ever seen and that is the truth Jaba." He backed away from her to give the guard some room.

The guard came and gently picked her up, being careful of her injuries.

Nahasi watched him carefully. When she asked about father he looked down. "Father, well he left with mother," when he spoke of mother a glint of anger swelled in his eyes. He was still upset with her for taking father away from the pride. "When I was crowned king they left. It was right after the tournament of the crown. He didn't even stay through the whole celebration. They said they didn't want to make a fuss. I don't believe it. I think they just hated it here."

He shook his head. He did not approve that his father left so early in his life. His father could have stayed and gave Nahasi more time to adjust to his role, but instead he hung him out. "It's not important though. They are gone and not coming back. What has happened has happened."

As they walked through the tunnels, Nahasi couldn't help but wonder what happened to his beloved sister while she was gone. He wondered what happened to her to get so many scars and how she became blind. He had to stop himself from asking her. He decided he would wait until they were in his den where they could speak privately.

"Oh please brother~" Shaking her head and once the guard came. Her stern face came across her features. How LONG did that take him. Grumbling curses before calming her body down to be easily moved. Impressed by the luggage carrier and his strength to be honest. He topped her by quite a bit but still this body was too weak to protest at all. Getting lifted, she only waited til they got in to the tunnel before closing her eyes to let her eyes adjust to the fickle lighting.

"I take it- Its a sore subject~.. Didn't think I'd see the day.." Shrugging as she let her nose graze the edge of the male. The distinct smell of male. She knew it all before so long ago. Then she opened her eyes to slowly re-adjust.

"I apologize for father non the less.. and .." She rolled her eyes. "Mother." Which she didn't have that much of an experience with either. Using a very highly annoyed tone. "Well- onward from here with the new king my brother. As you must have known~ I liked you better anyways." Waiting til they got to his chambers- and she slowly slid herself off the male. "Impressive- but late non the less.." She quickly corrected the guard. Then looked back at her brother as she made her way inside the den, and looked for a cozy spot to settle her bones.

One could hear the cracking and misplacement of the bones going back to realignment. "So brother... I have rested a little in the forest before you found me.. though still tired..I would still like to hear about you.. Faired well while I was away?"

He nodded his head. "It's been difficult running the pride. They keep reminding me that I'm the youngest king since my great great great great grandfather." he couldn't help rolling his eyes. He didn't like when his subjects reminded him how young he was. He wished he could still have some of his youth back. He hardly ever played games anymore and he would have like to compete in a fighting tournament at least once before he was crowned king. He shook his head. That was all in the past now and didn't matter. He needed to focus on the present.

"Ruling though has helped me grow up. I'm still learning the basics on ruling, but I have an amazing council to help me run it and a guard who is always there for me." He looked away when he mentioned his guard, still embarrassed about his feelings toward his guard. He was still working on figuring out just how he felt about Juan.

"What has life been like for you out in the rogue lands. It must have been frightening," he looked at her scars when he said this still wondering where she got them. His anger toward his father swelled thinking that maybe he had sent her out. "I was wondering why did you leave in the first place? Father never told me." Father never told him anything, he thought bitterly.

"Our Great Great Great ( sucks up air ) Great grandfather? Yea I don't care about that far back anymore. Life is a tad bit too short to hear about reigns. It is your time to reign- and comparing the two as of right now isn't quite the most intellgenant idea." Shaking her head. "You just started." Shrugging more as she lounged on the lion, and when she was done with being lazy, she slid off the male's back half way to the pride. Shaking herself off a little then looking at her pads. They were torn apart.. A light shake of one of her paws, she looked over at her brother and tossed herself at him. Tackling him to the ground and snuggling him. Sniffing him out and licking his face.

"My little brother... Have you enjoyed your life as of late.. have you seen the sun??" Looking up at the sky and how bright it was. "Look.." Snugging her snout under his chin and lifting it. "All this stuff about pride- pride and I haven't heard about YOU. How do you feel- what have YOU done. The pride is filled with the strongest men- I know this pride isn't just gunna run itself in to the ground. Especially if you still kept those old farts in their seats. " Lifting her head and tilting it before she stuck her cheek against his.. Breathing him in while she looked at the sky.... "Hold up partner." She grunted at the guard whom helped her as of late. "I should be a visor. But then that would be me admitting that I'm old." She laughed. "I don't think this pride could handle me- I'd straighten these guys all up." Then again the subject went to her again..

"Frightening? I left in the war- I was with several others when I left.. " She began... then she looked him straight in the eyes- smiled and laughed a little. "And now I'm back. " Then she looked ahead as she lept from over him and onward towards the pride. "Ooohh.. Not much has changed ~ on the outside that is. " Waving her tail behind her.. "My home.." Letting off a soft relieving sigh.

Nahasi smiled at his sister and he looked up at the sun. What a warm feeling it brought. It hurt his eyes looking at the bright sky, he was used to the darkness that the caves brought forth. Hopefully they would be getting inside soon. As curious as he was about the outside world he wasn't prepared now for it. Once Jabari was better he would ask her to take him outside, maybe they could bring Juan along too once he was fully healed.

“I've been fine. Juan is now my personal guard. He got hurt though protecting me.” The tips of his ears grew warm as he spoke about it. He was still uncomfortable with the whole thing and his new feelings toward Juan. “He is one of my closest friends now. I hardly go anywhere without him. It's nice having him around.”

He looked away once he finished talking. When he was ready he looked back at her with sheepish grin. “We're also preparing for my upcoming celebration of becoming an adult. You are of course welcome to come if you are feeling up to it. There are going to be plenty of food and there is going to let some of the fireflies loose in the cave and let them fly free at the lake. I'm very excited for it.”

"Who do you take me to be little ~ brother." When she saw the beautifully shy actions in talking about his 'personal guard' it was like he was an open book. What else could one say? She was his older sister! "Personal guard~ pfft. I say I should meet him. In fact, after I wash maybe I shall." Getting all matter of fact about the whole ordeal. She rubbed her cheek against his with a purr before she threw her whole body on him one final time to rub her scent on him like the cat she was. Protective as she was. Let this 'Juan' say something. Pfft. She'd tell him what's up.

But the female was probably not so pent up about that point, when really. As long as her brother was happy- she would be too. But teasing never hurt anyone. As she nudged him towards the mouth of the caves, the lion guard walking proud behind them, ushering them... She looked in to her brother's face as he spoke of his celebration, his new chapter in his life. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world, maybe that's why the fireflies led me home. Even they knew I couldn't miss this.."

As they got to nearer- she rose her head high and puffed out her chest... She was ready to greet her home with the pride she had earned- the title she earned- and the rumors that were left to tell her legacy...
