After his parents had finally gotten together, Jivu had been excited to leave. He adored his mother and his Pa, but he wasn't going to stick around forever, and now that they had finally 'found' each other properly, then Jivu was no longer needed by Kibaazi to be her eyes. He could leave, though he promised his parents that he would return.
Striking out on his own had encompassed picking a random direction and setting off without any thought as to why he was going that way. He was sure his waking-dreams would lead him the right way, anyway. It wasn't like they were going to lead him into danger, which was why he did not worry when the scent of lions began to fill his nose as he drew close to the borders of a pride. However, he paused before physically entering the boundaries of the pride, his breath catching in his throat as the world swirled around him. He disappeared from the world – or so it felt. In reality, he stood stock-still, staring at nothing, even as his mouth twisted up into a grin and he spoke.
“Hello stranger,” he greeted the 'stranger' who wasn't there. In his mind, he was talking to a male, walking along a rocky landscape connecting water to land. In reality, he stood still, though his mouth moved and he spoke out loud.
The stars above him twinkled, as the night continued on, uncaring that the male was no longer noticing the passing time.

Jivu was unaware of the female's presence, even when she spoke he heard nothing. His mouth was pulled into a grin as the male in his vision questioned his appearance. Ah, the typical question! Boring and yet intriguing none the less.
"I am simply a traveller," he said calmly, his tone normal, friendly, though his eyes were blank and almost unseeing. "I mean no harm, just a stranger passing aimlessly by." He chuckled at the almost poetic words. He was always more poetic at night, he thought, knowing his mother would approve. Kibaazi was practically, but since she had fallen in love, she was far more romantic minded than she used to be.
Jivu tilted his head as the male in his vision continued to talk. He frowned. "No need to get grumpy!" He snapped, as the male began to yell, becoming aggressive.
