I'm strangely addicted to Metroid, having missed out on the original game and never having played zero mission.

That said, It's a frustrating addiction.

Ah, the original Zelda was only fun when I used a video walkthrough every step of the way. Zelda II is a shithouse, but it might be nice as a handheld game...

Kinda weird that Kid Icarus wasn't included, actually.

Metroid is close, same engine, similar gameplay/aesthetic, but not quite.

The difference is the platform.

Super Mario Bros. feels weird with the control scheme.
Yoshi feels weird.
The games handled differently given the controller.

I'm alright with Super Mario Bros. not being all that good on the 3DS, because I know that Super Mario Bros. is a great and fun game on it's original console.

The same can not be said of Kid Icarus. At all. That game blows.
